On December 9 2005, the squadron was officially disestablished as the Vikings were eliminated from USN inventory at NAS Jacksonville. The textures are those of an artist interpretation and resulting rendition. THESE ARE TEXTURES ONLY! You need Dino Cattaneo's Lockheed S-3B Viking freeware package.

File Description:
7N1
Corning-Painted Post Airport (FAA LID: 7N1) is a public use airport in Steuben County, New York, United States.[1] It is located two nautical miles (4 km) northwest of the central business district of Corning.[1] The airport is owned by the Town of Erwin[1] and located near Painted Post, New York. It is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011-2015, which categorized it as a general aviation facility. The stock FSX airport was a generic type. I updated most everything to 2014 Google Earth standards. I use generic buildings and resize reshape to suit. All objects are stock.I put in most of the parking spaces, gas trigger, the neighborhood houses and some trees to round it out. Hope you enjoy.

| W90 - New London Airport - Virginia |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
New London Airport (FAA LID: W90) is a public-use airport located six miles (10 km) southwest of the central business district of Forest, a town in Bedford County, Virginia, United States. It is privately owned by Associated Wheels Inc. It is a public airport, but usually involves GA aircraft only. On Sundays during the summer and early fall, the runway is used as a dragstrip. Originally built in 1957 as a 1/4 mile dragstrip, airport operations were added in 1961 and the facility has served a dual-purpose since. Having been under the continued guidance of Rucker Tibbs, the airport changed hands in December 2005. Changes were made based on Google Maps. Created with Airport Design Editor by ScruffyDuck Software using current FAA documentation and Google Earth measurements, this package offers a replacement for FSX's stock airport. All these enhancements are as close to the real airport as I can get with stock library objects and custom buildings.

File Description:
FSX Scenery - Monterey Regional Airport (IATA: MRY, ICAO: KMRY, FAA LID: MRY) is three miles (5 km) southeast of Monterey, in Monterey County, California, USA. It was created in 1936 and was known as the Monterey Peninsula Airport until the board of directors renamed it on September 14, 2011. The airport is owned by the several municipalities that make up the Monterey Peninsula Airport District. It is a public entity and its five-member board of directors is publicly elected. The airport has its origins with flights from the polo field of the Hotel Del Monte in 1910. In 1941, local communities formed the Monterey Peninsula Airport District and acquired land to build an airport. World War II intervened, and the U.S. Navy leased the land, opening Naval Auxiliary Air Station Monterey on May 23, 1943. The Navy remained at the airport until 1972. | CTAF Voicepack Mod |
|
File Description:
This voicepack mod introduces a number of changes to the way CTAF communications are handled in the sim. For all CTAF communications, aircraft now repeat the name of the airport at the end of the transmission to help ensure copy of the airport name during busy CTAF activity. Furthermore aircraft now say on all transmissions the type of aircraft they are (Beech, Cessna, Mooney, etc). Finally, the default format of position announcements for VFR/IFR aircraft would say "10 miles west of Miller County", which is an overly-repetitive use of the airport name. Aircraft now announce position/bearing without saying the airport name, as that is repeated at the end of the transmission. This is all meant to better reflect real-world CTAF transmission protocols.
