"IKAROS" Airport for FSX SP2
"IKAROS" airport is a private strip, 105km NW of Athens located in the Kopaida plains between the towns of Aliartos, Kastro and Orchomenos and west of Yliki lake. It is a pure general aviation field and the small terminal offers some services and facilities for the convenience of visiting aviators and passengers. The scenery includes a region and landclass bgl for a large area of the Kopaida plains around the airport. Most objects used are custom objects designed from pictures of the real thing. Moving road traffic as well as custom GA traffic are also included.

File Description:
Yellowknife float base is on the shore of Yellowknife Bay, which is on the north side of Great Slave Lake. The float base is on two sides of Latham Island and the promontory that reaches out to it, which is where the town of Yellowknife was originally founded, and float planes land either in Back Bay (to the west) or in East Bay (guess where?). Where the south end of the island meets the promontory there are two inlets and two companies; Air Tindi in the eastern part and North Airways in the western. These two companies have bespoke buildings. I have used other buildings from other sceneries to model the "feel" of the original Yellowknife and the docks along the shore. One thing I could not do, and that was to recreate at its correct height "the rock", which is the raised centre of the promontory; FS9 resisted terrain readjustments beyond a certain point.

File Description:
Gananoque is an ex-RCAF airfield 20 miles east of Kingston and Lake Ontario and 5 miles north of the Thousand Islands area of the St. Lawrence River and the US border. The airfield was a relief landing field for Kingston during WW2 and opened in 1940 with the classic triangle of runways. It closed in 1945 and is now a sky diving centre, still with the original single hangar and control tower. Fuel is no longer sold there so the only reason to pass by is as part of a visit to the Thousand Islands area, or perhaps look at the Canso (Canadian name for the PBY Catalina) which I understand is in the hangar. Unfortunately, when I turned up there was nobody there. The runways and the taxiways and the apron are all still usable but in what can only be called a state of random disrepair. Centre lines and signage are luxuries. I have included a photo with runway headings indicated.

File Description:
Demoversion with banners, new VOR gauge, with new PANEL and GAUGES, new external model, sound and virtual cockpit. The A350 XWB (Xtra Wide-Body) is Airbus’ response to market demand for a medium capacity long range wide-body family. Designed with airlines’ priorities in mind, the A350 XWB confronts the challenges of high fuel prices, rising passenger expectations and increasing environmental concerns. Available from 2013, it has an entirely new, uncompromised, 21st Century design with a wider and taller fuselage for extra space and passenger comfort. A complete family of airliners sized to generate cost reductions and provide unprecedented operating flexibility for airlines; three basic passenger versions are being offered. With a range of up to 8,300nm/15,380km they include the A350-800 for 270 passengers in a spacious three-class configuration; the A350-900 for 314 passengers and the A350-1000 seating 350 passengers. An ultra long-range version, the A350–900R, will fly even further while a freighter version, the A350–900F, will complement the passenger models.
As befits the most advanced aircraft family in its segment, the A350 XWB is able to provide greater economy on long-range markets and is equally attractive as a route opener or as part of a multi-type Airbus fleet offering optimized network solutions. Thanks to the application of the latest innovations, the A350 XWB is able to offer 20 per cent lower cash operating costs per seat than competing aircraft in this size category and fuel efficiency improvements of up to 25 per cent per seat. The fly-by-wire A350 XWB Family is a significant addition to the Airbus product range. A member of the Airbus FBW Family of aircraft, it benefits from the same operational commonality as the other members of the Family. This handling and flight deck commonality allows airlines to benefit from the unique Airbus Family concept of cross crew qualification and mixed fleet flying, and will ensure smooth introduction into service. | U.S.S. Enterprise 2702-D |
|
File Description:
The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D was a Galaxy-class extended-duration starship and the flagship of Starfleet. The fifth starship to be named Enterprise, she was commanded by Captain Jean-Luc Picard. With a total of 42 decks, the U.S.S. Enterprise-D was twice the length and had eight times the interior space of the Constitution-class ships of over a century earlier; she carried a combined crew and passenger load of about 1,012.
Defensive systems included 10 phaser banks, 250 photon torpedoes, and a high capacity shield grid; there are some 4,000 power systems in all aboard ship.
Full acceleration time from reverse, sub-light impulse through nominal top warp speed, warp 9, was 0.03 milliseconds. The ship achieved maximum speed of warp 9.5 maximum when pursued by the entity known as "Q"; at warp 9.3 its engines had passed the red line.
By stardate 43205, she had already logged tens of thousands of light-years since setting out around stardate 41153.7 after Jean-Luc Picard formally became her first captain on stardate 41124.
An average day aboard ship, according to Lieutenant Commander Data, included four birthdays, two personnel transfers, two chess tournaments, a secondary school play, four promotions, the celebration of the Hindu Festival of Lights — and a birth and wedding.
Some 13 planets were represented among the ship's complement as of stardate 44247. During the Borg incursion of 2366, Decks 23-25 were sliced open by the enemy during the final battle over Earth and requiring a refit at Earth Station McKinley which lasted 5-6 weeks.
It was far less damage than the kamikaze warp-driven collision Commander Riker had readied as one last recourse, however. During that refit, the starship received a phaser upgrade as well as damage repair and a dilithium chamber articulation frame. It off-loaded the original three Runabouts and the first arriving officers at Deep Space Nine.
The U.S.S. Enterprise-D was destroyed in 2371 after an attack by renegade Klingons breached her warp core. Although the saucer section separated before the breach, the force of the explosion caused the section to crash on the planet Veridian III. Fortunately, losses were minimal.

File Description:
This is a repaint only, for the payware Vertigo Studios Stearman Vol.1 set. This repaint depicts the restored Stearman PT-17 N59293, owned/operated by Andrew and Mike Porter, based at Spring Lake, New Jersey. The aircraft was manufactured as USAAF 41-25714 and was used continually from June 1942 until June 1945. During WWII the aircraft had multiple assignments, one of which included Avenger Field in Sweetwater, Texas, home of the WASP (Women's Airforce Service Pilots), where it was based from February 1943 until August 1944. Sold surplus after the war, the aircraft was used as a crop duster in New Mexico all the way until 1981. Starting in 2006, the aircraft was restored to factory-original award-winning condition, and painted in the same markings it wore while stationed at Avenger Field, flying as a tribute to all of the WASP pilots. (In one of the aircraft's other WWII training assignments, Donald Strait flew this aircraft during flight training and would go on to become a double-ace flying P-51's with the 361st Fighter Squadron).

File Description:
MSF is a mission which consists of several episodes. The present mission here is the 1st episode. It is obvious that the 2nd episode will be the logical result of the adventure, and so on for the following episodes.
The story of this 1st episode, takes place since the base camp of MSF (Médecins sans Frontières) at BUKOBA in TANZANIA, and ends inside the hangar of a small runway on the shores of Lake Victoria.
The briefing of departure is voluntarily very short, you will find no indication for the realization of the episode, simply the description of the context there of departure. All the indications to realize the episode, will be given to you by sound files. In other words, it will be necessary to you to be very attentive to the diverse dialogues, in French, sorry, which you will hear. I will try to create an English version later.
ALL EPISODES OF MSF ARE A TRIBUTE TO THE WOMEN AND MEN OF THE MEDIACL WORLD.
