Depicted in its former paintscheme as RNLAF Spitfire H-15.Entered service 15-04-1944 with 302Sqn.Transferred to 329Sqn 15-06-1944 with code 5A-K.Joined 165Sqn 30-08-1944 as SK-M.Sold to the RNLAF 25-09-1946 and given the code H-15.16-03-1950 saw another change with the aircraft being painted in the silver paintscheme.Spent some time as a "gate guard"at Eindhoven Air Base ( on a pole ).Has now been restored to flying condition by it's owner R Thompson in Houston Texas with American reg N959RT.Since 2005 repainted in it's original colours and reg of 329 Sqn.5A-K will be available in the near future .This information was made available by Pieter Jutte at his site www.strijdbewijs.nl,for further information on all Dutch Spitfires is his site worth a visit.

File Description:
This freeware package contains a visible/audible cannon effect plus
control gauge, as addon for RealAir Simulations' FSX Spitfire (payware).
The effect is activated either by mouseclicking the cannon switch in the VC,
or by a key / joystickbutton that generates repetitive FSX "CarbHeat On/Off" commands.
Includes detailled installation instructions; see README
The package can be used (although with limitations) for simular aircraft as well.

File Description:
Well Guys, here is a brand new version of my Supermarine Spitfire sound package. Ideally suited for a P51 or any other aircraft that has a merlin engine. Because I'm a lover of that Merlin sound, I just had to keep experimenting until I found the correct balance, finally I did it with this package. These sounds come from various sources on the internet and video clips, then when put together, the result is music to my ears. All new startup/shutdown sounds, engine idle sounds etc. This is only a small file but once you hear these sounds, you'll never be out of your cockpit!

This folder contains a repaint for the Spitfire Mk.IX by FlyingIron, in the colors of Spitfire PR.XI (PL983) N74138. It originally flew with the RAF as a reconaissance aircraft, but in 1948 was given to the US Air Attaché in London, Tony Satterthwaite, as his personal aircraft. It received the US civil registration N74138. He often let Lettice Curtis fly his aircraft, and she used it in 1948 to take part in an air race with #4. Lettice Curtis was one of the first women to fly with the ATA, the Air Transport Auxilary, and flew no less than 1467 aircraft during the war, including many Spitfires and 4-engined bombers. The aircraft is still airworthy after several restorations, and recently flew as the 'Thank U NHS' Spitfire. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom.

This folder contains a repaint for the Spitfire Mk.IX by FlyingIron, in the colors of Spitfire XVI TB991 GE-L 'Liège' o fNo.349 squadron of the Belgian Air Force, 1946-1947. This aircraft was on of the 27 Spitfire LF.XVI's that were loaned by the Belgian Air Force immediately after the war until the Griffon powered LF.XIV's could be delivered that were ordered by the Belgian Government. The LF.XVI's were given Belgian roundels, although they were never owned by the Belgian Air Force. Most of these aircraft were returned to the RAF after a while, but TB991 had an accident at Beauvechain on Feb. 3rd 1947, was deemed uneconomical to repair and was not returned to the RAF, but scrapped. Repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III Spitfire by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Martin Catney: Supermarine Spitfire IIa P7346 PR-M was the aircraft flown by Belgian ace Jean Offenberg, while flying with 609 squadron from Biggin Hill. He shot down his first aircraft, a Dornier during the German attack on Belgium, and later managed to escape via Corsica and North Africa to England, where he joined the RAF. While on a lone 'training mission' near Cherbourg, he shoots down three aircraft, which earns him the DFC. He later joins 609 Squadron, where a Belgian flight is being formed. Jean Offenberg is killed during a training accident on 22 january 1942, when a Spitfire from another squadron performs a mock attack and collides with him.
