A repaint of the RealAir Spitfire 2008 Contra-Prop MkXIV as a PR.XIX Spitfire A well-travelled aircraft, PS890 was originally delivered to RAF Benson in 1945. In 1954 it was transferred to the Royal Thai Air Force, then in 1962 was donated by King Bhumibel to the Air Museum at Claremont, California. During its rebuild its wings were clipped and it was fitted with a Shackleton engine with contra-rotating props, then flown by Planes of Fame in Chino. In 2005 it was sold to the French collector, Christophe Jacquard, who took it to Duxford to have the wing tips replaced. It is now based at Dijon-Darois, airport, France. Some say that the Spitfire XIX is "the most beautiful aircraft of them all".

This is a repaint of MK airlines 747-2R7F SCD cargo registration 9G-MKQ. The textures are painstakingly painted right down to the details with accurate markings, cargo configuration, wings and engines. Mostly handpainted and features realistic dirt effects (after examining photos of the MK 742 cargo fleet). Day textures with realistic reflections are in DXT3 format for low size file. - It also includes some photorealistic misc, and internal parts textures (e.g. doors, 3D looking engine fans, below deck & main deck cargo compartments). All textures have been altered from the paintkit. Painted on Project Opensky's quality 747-200F v2004.8.5 gMAX model for FS2004

This folder contains a repaint for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XIV by Real Air. It shows Spitfire Mk.XIV RB678 VL-Q, which was flown by F/Sgt W. de Vries of 322 (Dutch) squadron. He was hit by debris from an exploding V-1 which he had shot at from close range, on the 29th of June 1944, but managed to make a safe landing at Kingsnorth. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by RealAir.

File Description:
A few weeks ago at an airshow, I had the opportunity to get up close up to the Spitfire and get some recordings of that beautiful Rolls Royce Merlin engine. I have used some of these sounds for this sound pack and the result is absolutely amazing. Now I've got a spitfire which truly sounds like it should. This is a small file but don't be fooled, you'll love it, guaranteed! Obviously I don't know how a Spitfire sounds on the inside, so I've tried using FS9 default sounds along with some sounds downloaded from the internet and from a sound effects disk and wow, what a result. This file was created using the Alpha Spitfire as a test bed, so I'm not sure what it will be like in any other model. If you want to know what it sounds like, try putting these sounds into the Cessna 182S model as they run perfectly in that plane except it doesn't have retractable landing gear! I promise, you won't be disappointed!!

Aircraft is actually MJ271.Entered service 15-02-1944 with 118Sqn,08-03-1944 moved to 132Sqn.November 1944 saw another move to 401Sqn.Transferred to the RNLAF 25-11-1949,given the code H-8.Later painted in the silver paintscheme and renumbered 3W-8 with 322 Sqn.Since the opening of the Aviodrome at Lelystad repainted in the colours of the RNLAF in the Far East paintscheme as MH424.H-53 is now being restored to flying condition at Duxford.This information was made available by Pieter Jutte at his site www.strijdbewijs.nl,for further information on all Dutch Spitfires is his site worth a visit.
