Monterey Academy CA66 California Scenery

File Description:
This is a scenery upgrade for Monterey Academy Airstrip, California (CA66). This is part Seven of a series of small airstrip and minor airfield scenery enhancements which are based on real world data from Google Earth. Changes to default include an AFCAD file that covers some of the buildings that seem to be associated with the airstrip, Landclass change to reflect the fact that the strip lies in agricultural ground rather that the scrubland the default has it in. Note that the buildings are used to appear the same as they do from directly above rather than a genuine representation of what is probably there. So from ground level it will look a lot different to the real thing should you be familiar with it! This is due to the limited number of buildings available ATM. Also My screenshots are using Flight1 Ground Environment textures, so your land may look different if you have the default terrain. Thanks to Jon "Scruffyduck" Masterson for tutorials on LC and scenery design. Built using EZ_Scenery, Lee Swordy's AFCAD and SBuilder. You must have rwy12 and EZ scenery libraries installed for the buildings to show, both libraries of objects are free EZ Library is available from this URL http://www.abacuspub.com/pub/AbacusEZLibraries.exe rwy12 from Avsim and additional EZ Custom libraries from Avsim also, search under Scenery design.

Airline Inventory Update #5

File Description:
(Update 5 - 25 January 2006) Not long ago I embarked on a project to streamline my flight simulator's AI setup. I knew I had too many aircraft texture sets that I was not using, too many unnecessary night texture files, installation of defunct airlines, and the like. So, I put together a spreadsheet showing my AI system with all the airlines and additional pieces such as vehicles and ships. This has been a very large and time-consuming project as my AI system has more than 7,000 texture sets, more than 2,200 airline folders, and other assorted AI components. Inside you'll find an Excel spreadsheet with all my airlines (more than 2,200) listed, Birds, Blimp, Corporate Aircraft, Defunct Airlines, Douglas DC-3, Float Planes, Government Aircraft, Helicopters, Medical Aircraft, Military Aircraft, Personal Registration Aircraft, Ships, and Vehicles - all associated with the FS AI system. In addition, I've included the spreadsheet's source text files for those that do not have Microsoft Excel. NOTE: You can download an MS Excel spreadsheet viewer (freeware) from the Microsoft site. Because of copyright restrictions and the size of my AI system, I have not provided links to specific files. However, I think you'll find the data very useful. FSRemote

File Description:
It does what the title says FSRemote controls FSX remotely through FSUIPC. Just take a look at the (word) document that is contained in the zip file and look at some screen shots. It can view and control the following items in FSX through FSUIPC: 1. Environment - view Date Time and Position 2. Date Time - view and set Date and Time in FSX 3. Aircraft - view and set various aircraft items like Door, Lights, Push back and De-Ice 4. Attitude - view attitude and speed in feet, meter, knots, mp/h and km/h 5. Auto Pilot - view and set various Auto Pilot items 6. Radio - view and set almost all the radio items like in the radio stack 7. Engines - auto stop and start engines, not much jet 8. Message - view and send messages to FSX 9. Weather - not implemented jet 10. FPS - view chart and check the Frames per Second in FSX 11. About box with various version information. Presidente Nicolau Lobato International, Dili, East Timor (WPDL) v2

File Description:
"Euraka!" I cried in the middle of the night. My wife rolled over and mumbled "its not me, it must be the cat". But I was pleased with myself, for I had suddenly thought of a way to eliminate Microsoft's radiused corners where taxiway meets runway. They are a nifty arrangement, when you want them, but at this airport (clearly evidenced by Google Earth) they do not exist on the concrete connections. So here is a revised version of my Googlyafcad for WPDL Dili-Comoro-Komoro-Presidente Nicolau Lobato International or whatever it is called today. I considered calling this version 1.0062A so as to impress but I think you might prefer me to call it it version 2. Unfortunately, Microsoft's perception of this airport in Flight Simulator is a wee bit under scale and the ramp areas provided barely allow the parking of a flea, never mind the Boeing 737s that serve this airport. This A&F Data file allows you and "AI" traffic to land, park and take-off in the proper manner. But there is more . . . the Google Earth picture clearly shows three parked helocopters, so to give the place a little atmosphere, I've provided an additional file which will place three static helicopters at the airport. They will only show if you have the Rwy12 libraries installed, but the file won't bite if you don't. (replaces af2_wpdl.zip)

AN-124 PANEL

File Description:
Hello to all you flightsimmers,...After I've been profiting for years downloading stuff made by others [and enjoying it very much] I thought it was about time to create something myself. For about two or three years ago there was an Antonov AN-124 parked at the Dutch airport of Beek near the city of Maastricht. Just before the aircraft was to be sold on an auction there was the opportunity to take some pictures of the in and outside of the plane. An opportunity I gladly took. Here are the results. I hope I did not offend anyone using their gauges because it's quite impossible to ask every individual permission for all the 210 gauges I used, but I would gladly take the opportunity here of thanking them for the use of them..........Please NOTE:I did not create any of the gauges used for this panel myself and therefore do not earn any credit for them or whatsoever...........Half of them for instance are of MICROSOFT [Copyright]....I tried to stay as close to the original design of the AN-124 cockpitt, however in some cases I had to alter some things due to the lack of available ID light gauges. Furthermore it was not always possible to see whàt instrument it was that I saw on the photopicture. Anyway ENJOY!!!!.
