Grumman "Turbo" Goose for FSX

File Description:
FSX version that modifies default or OzX Redux Grumman G21A Goose into a G21G turbine-powered Goose. It is a "revised" model built with GMax and FSDS based on the default FSX Grumman Goose model file and adds a completely new aircraft to your simobjects folder. That said, you must have either the default flyable FSX Grumman G21 Goose (FSX Deluxe or higher) or the OzX Grumman Goose G21a Redux HP model installed for this modification to work. I do not know if it will work in the FSX-SE version, but I believe it will. Nor do I know if it will work in any version of P3D. All I can suggest is try. This download “accesses” your existing Goose texture folders to turn that Goose into a Turbine Goose. It does not modify your existing Piston Goose install, so you will have the Piston Goose as flyable options. It only uses the default files to generate the visual display of the texture in the Turbo Goose. I did this to avoid any perceived or potential copyright violations. They will not work on any other version of the Grumman G21A Goose and will not make the AI Goose that comes with FSX Standard a flyable aircraft. The Turbine Goose has 2 680hp P&W PT6A-27 turboprop engines to replace the Wasp R-985 radials and seats 9 passengers and the pilot. The payload and aircraft weight is almost double that of the piston-powered Goose and has an 800 to 1,000 nm range, burning JetA instead of 100LL. The constant speed 3-blade propellers have reverse pitch and give the Turbo Goose a 2,000 fpm climb and 200+ knot cruise airspeed. This is my first attempt at aircraft modeling with GMax, so it is not a "payware" quality model, but I have flown it over 2,000 miles in FSX and enjoyed every minute of it. Uses a modified FDE and airfile by permission from Pam Brooker, default FSX Kingair 350 turbine gauges, and either the default FSX Kingair 350 sound file or the incredibly great sounding TPE331 sound file by Alex Jorda.

American Airlines Boeing 747-400 PW

File Description:
This is a repaint (textures ONLY) of the Project Open Sky (POSKY) Fabulous 747-400PW V3 GMax in the livery of American Airlines. AA only had 741's and very funnily wasn't fond of them and got rid of them as soon as possible! I love American color scheme and do wish they would never change their classy livery though some people blame them for their rld fashioned (?!!) cheatlines (hahaha!!). N9675 was actually an American Freighter 747-123SF (now flying as N675UP for UPS) that featured in my all time favorite ovie "Airport 1975", as Columbia 409 suffering a midair collision. I was just 5 when I saw this movie back in 1980 and eversince has fallen in love with the aircrafts esp. the 747's so I guess this repaint can be regarded as my tribute to that very aircraft (wish to see her fly forver!).Provided textures are in DXT3 format with alpha channels enabled to prevent the plane from being blurred (esp. on its right fuselage) and to give aircraft some reflection.

Grafton District Airport - NSW Australia

File Description:
A delighful small airport approximately 80 nautical miles from Coffs Harbour and a slightly shorter distance to Ballina and Lismore. This makes a good stopover for hopping down the east coast of Australia. The size of the airport has allowed me to put in that extra detail which makes to terminal and surrounds very much "as in real life". Photographic textures are used throughout for the buildings and even the trees are hand made macros from photographs at the airport. AFCAD and Traffic Tools files are included to add extra AI traffic. For that reason and because of limited apron space no static planes have been used. The scenery concentrates on adding a realistic terminal to the airport whilst leaving much of the default runway detail unchanged. Changes which have been made to the runway include tidying up the taxi way fillets so the markings do not appear to be on the grass and the windsocks have been replaced with macros designed to resemble the Grafton windsocks. Other than that the airport merges into the default scenery without the usual "green oasis" effect.

EGGP Liverpool John Lennon Airport V3.1

File Description:
This new version has come about as a result of over a month sitting in front of Paint Shop Pro! All the textures have been redone including the night textures (If anyone knows how to light up AI aircraft then I'd love to hear from them!). Many new macros have been created and hence the airport now has a lot more buildings! The railway bridge has been finished and I've also created my own version of the road bridge. I've switched tree creation to GroundMaker as this was less frame rate hugging and allowed what I consider to be a more realistic representation of the wooded areas around the airport. The scenery is aligned to the Visual Flight / Getmapping VFR Scenery published by Just Flight and has been specifically designed to complement the add-on. You do not however need the VFR scenery to use these files! This scenery forms part of the "UK2002 Scenery Project" co-ordinated by John Woodside - http://fsaviation.net/. F-16C Fighting Falcon Block 50 'Aegean Ghost' Hellenic Air Force

File Description:
One of the most completed packs ever uploaded for FS. Full combatible with both FS2K2 & FS9 versions, this "Aegean Ghost" repaint, is representing an F-16C Blok 50 in service of 341st Squadron of Hellenic Air Force. The fantastic model and realistic "metal looking" textures are made by Kirk Olson. The package contains realistic sounds made by Angelos Hatzikatakos. A new panel was made by Nick Karatzides who also modified the official checklist (by Lockheed Matrin Ltd.) for FS purposes and also wrote and a VERY completed flight manual (47 pages) which can be read with Adobe Acrobat. The panel uses realistic radar & HUD gauges combatible with both FS2K2 & FS9 versions, made by Eric Marciano. This "F-16C_HAF_v2.zip" package is for EXPERIENCED FlightSimers and virtual pilots who have a "good feeling" on the controls and do not "kick" the contol stick while flying...It is for people who want to know how it looks to fly with a modern fighter. The package contains visual effects, night lighting, fine looking mechanical parts movement, contrails, realistic gears extracting / retracting etc.

Tropical Trees Scenery Macros

File Description:
This file is for use by scenery designers only. It is a collection of around fifty different tropical trees for use in your scenery. All of the trees are created in API format using R8 textures for low impact. They are all single plane trees which turn to face the aircraft giving a nice full look from whatever angle you view them. Most have been created using Scott Armstrong's textures from his recently uploaded file tropicaltextures.zip available at Avsim. There are also a few of the trees I have been using, which were made from textures by John de Langristin. This is a complete library, and should have exactly what you are looking for to do tropical scenery. Many of the trees appear 3 dimensional due to the excellent photo real textures. Most of the trees are Coconut Palms in various positions and shapes, but there are also other trees, bananas, shrubs, and large texture walls for background use. There are also five various night lit trees included.

Global Supply Systems PMDG Boeing 747-400 Version 2

File Description:
This is a repaint of a Global Supply Systems Boeing 747-400 (G-GSSA) for use with the PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies. You MUST have purchased a valid copy of the PMDG 747 in order to use this repaint. This repaint does attempt to recreate the freighter version of the 747-400. I DO realise there are major differences between PAX and F versions (especially the size of the upper deck), but due to small demand at my virtual airline British Airways Virtual, I have applied the textures to the PAX model. For the proper model, you'll have to wait for the PMDG 747 Freighter, which is currently in development. This is version 2 of a previous release, and addresses many things that were incorrect (Tail to Fuselage joining, Larger Grey Underside, Registration Font, Gear Door colour, Light Map). Those who have just got version 1 or version 1 and the fix MUST download this file in order to benefit from the changes. Apologies to the inconvienience caused with the release of all previous updates (now deleted).

WLP-HQ

File Description:
WLP HQ is a basic simple scenery. It's a fictous bush-airport and camp in northern Tanzania, just west of the famous Lake Natron. WLP stands for "Wild Life Protection". WLP is a fictous project and is refering to J.T. Chance's latest adventure novel. Max Stein, a bushpilot and adventurer, is hunting down smuggling and illegal hunting gangs. This project stands for a complete new approach by making the reader a part of the story ... kind like interactiv action if you will say so. The book invites you to fly it's hero adventures in your flightsim, therefore you got maps, flightplans and so on with the book. (No need for a specific flightsim version.) WLP HQ is the main base of these operations. You'll take over from there and you follow the storyline on your own yoke. There is no need to download any further files to do so. This scenery is freeware of course, the adventure may be purchased (inexpensive paper-back or even cheaper PDF download) on lulu.com

U.S. Army Bell OH-58 Kiowa - Flat Matte Finish

File Description:
These are 2 flat matte finish repaints of the default Bell 206B JetRanger helicopter included with FSX. No other files are necessary. The liveries are for Bell OH-58 Kiowas - California Army National Guard #0-21868 and U.S. Army 1st Cavalry, 2nd Battalion, 227th Air Regiment #0-16192. Appropriate pilot markings are included with each repaint. The Bell OH-58 Kiowa is basically the civilian Bell 206 series helicopter with longer rotor blades and an upgraded engine (also military avionics). Over 2,200 Kiowas have been delivered to the U.S. Army and have been actively serving in a variety of roles since the Vietnam War. The armed version is known as the AH-58 Kiowa attack helicopter. The Bell OH-58 Kiowa can be found in countries such as Canada, Australia, and Israel (among others), whether exported by Bell or built under contract by Agusta. The flat matte finish gives a more weathered look and is considered more prototypical for military camouflage as it is less reflective. However, some people do not like the look but I offer it as an option. Enjoy!

A-10 HUD and Panel

File Description:
Wanna make landing the A-10 a breeze? Do you enjoy flying by the seat of your pants at tree-top levels? Does precise formation flying with your friends or with AI aircraft sound like fun? This panel modification will make all of that virtually effortless.... These files adds a properly working A-10 HUD (Heads Up Display) and a modified panel to K. Ito's A-10, or to Kirk Olsson's/Maverick's A-10. (Or to both aircraft.) The focus has been mainly on the HUD, which features a properly scaled and accurate pitch ladder (which moves with and stays pinned to the actual sim-horizon), a working velocity vector (which shows your true flight path), as well as other typical HUD features and symbology. (Basic flight information, Nav info, ILS needles, AoA bracket, etc....) There are also several switches added which can be used to modify the function of or visibility of the various symbology elements. This HUD can easily be modified and used in other panels and with other planes.
