Curtiss P-47G "Little Demon" G-CDVX Download

File Description:
This is a repaint only for the WOP P-47 Thunderbolt, in the markings of P-47G "Little Demon." This aircraft was built by Curtiss in 1943, and served originally with the USAAF as 42-25068. The aircraft was first restored between 1979 and 1982 by Ray Stutsman, who painted the aircraft as "Little Demon," a 78th Fighter Group, 82nd Fighter Squadron Thunderbolt. The aircraft was later sold to Robert L. Waltrip/Lone Star Flight Museum where it was kept for some time then was sold to David Arnold/Flying A Services of the UK in 1996 where it was put into storage. In 2006 the aircraft was obtained by The Fighter Collection, Duxford, replacing their P-47D No Guts No Glory. The aircraft is currently undergoing some restoration work at Fighter Rebuilders, Chino, California, and is scheduled to be at the Flying Legends air show, Duxford, this summer.

Sabena (Circa 1960) Douglas DC-6 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The first European operator of the Douglas DC-6 was the Belgian airline Sabena. The first of five DC-6s, which was registered OO-AWA (see Jens B. Kristensen's FSX Douglas DC-6 (dc6_v20x.zip)), was delivered on 15 July 1947. It was introduced on the Brussels-New York service in August 1947. Of course theDC-6s also operated on the Brussels-Leopoldville (now Kinshasa) route, the "lifeline" to the former Belgian colony Congo. From 1953 on they were joined by nine slightly larger DC-6Bs and one DC-6A. Except for OO-AWB which crashed in 1955, the "short" DC-6 had a remarkably long career with Sabena, incl. being leased to Air Congo. The last example was sold in 1965. Original textures by Jens B. Kristensen. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

These are textures only. You will require Jens B. Kristensen's FSX Douglas DC-6 (dc6_v20x.zip).

Pilatus PC-6C KLU, Eindhoven AB, The netherlands. 2012 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Pilatus PC-6C H2 Turbo Porter for FSX by Tim Conrad in a Royal Netherlands Air Force livery. The PC-6C Turbo Porter has been an amazing contribution to the STOL aircraft fleet around the world for decades. It's robust airframe and excellent aerodynamics make the plane very popular for para-drops, but also for supply missions in remote area's throughout the globe. Despite it's age the aircraft is still widely in use. This repaint represents a "what-if" RNLAF PC-6C in the Eindhoven (NLD) based toned down grey 336 Sqn colours, 2012. The Sqn logo is the current 336 version which operates C-130's. The aircraft shares the same registration as my earlier Surinam based livery (PC-6C_KLU.zip), but weathered, tone-down grey and 40 years later. You need the excellent freeware PC-6C H2 Turbo Porter by Tim Conrad in order to use this repaint. Enjoy!

Carl Agar, ex RCAF flight instructor, Alfred “Alf” Stringer, a 25 year old airplane mechanic, ex RCAF, and Arnold “Barney” Bent, ex RCAF flight Instructor, started the Company. Started as a Crop Dusting Operation in Penticton. Company name Okanagan Air Services Ltd. By Dec 1958 they had 54 helicopters. By the 70's they became one of the worlds largest Companies and operated aound the globe. I was fortunate enough to be employed by them for many enjoyable years. Thanks to Jeff Robinson for his assistance in these paints.

South African Historic Flight Douglas DC-4 (ZS-AUB) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
In March 1946 the first of six brand new Douglas DC-4-1009's for South African Airways arrived and entered service, replacing the AVRO York on the "Springbok" route from Johannesburg to London. After the arrival of the Constellation the DC-4's continued on the domestic and regional services. In 1967 the five remaining DC-4's were passed on to the South African Air Force where they flew till the early 1990's. ZS-AUB was one of them. In December 1995 she was sold to South African Airways for use by the South African Historic Flight. She received the "orange tail" livery in 1998. This repaint is basically a modification of Jens B. Kristensen's original paint of SAA's DC-4 ZS-BMH, which is part of the FSX Douglas DC-4 & C-54 (DC4_V30X.ZIP) package which you will need for these textures. Modification by Maarten Brouwer.

Tradewinds Airways Canadair CL-44 1977 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the Canadair CL-44 in Tradewinds Airways colors. You need the freeware Canadair CL-44 by Mike Stone. Tradewinds was a British air cargo company. In November 1968, Transglobe Airways ceased operations, leaving a fleet of Canadair CL-44s lease-purchased from Seaboard World Airlines in limbo. Later in the month, Bobwood was formed to takeover the aircraft lease. Bobwood's name was changed to Tradewind Airways in January 1969 and all three ex-Transglobe Airways CL-44s were transferred over to the new company. Due to Seaboard World Airlines (a U.S. Cargo airline) having a large interest in Tradewinds, the British Government would not issue a license. Thus, in April, a British group was put together to take over the company. Consequently, a route network was developed primarily to Africa and North America in 1971–1976. Also in 1972, the carrier began flying from London Heathrow, often on all-cargo subcontracts for foreign airlines. In January 1977, Tradewinds became a wholly owned subsidiary of the multinational Lonrho Group. They received the 707-320Cs soon after. In 1978–1979, Tradewinds offered scheduled jet freight services from London to points in Africa, USA, and Canada. Unfortunately, in January 1986, Tradewinds ceased operations, citing overcapacity, undercutting by competing charter services, and stringent new noise abatement rules as cause of the demise. Its assetts were purchased by Tal Air, a British business travel airline, and tried to revive Tradewinds with freight services to Africa and the Middle East, however it was not to be, and they finally shut down for good in 1990. Textures are 32bit bmp. This aircraft was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX and FS2004. *This is strictly an FS2004 model. However, I used it on FSX-SE by replacing the FS2004 panel and gauges with an FSX 2D panel, and it worked well. I have included two internet links for users of FSX, who wish to fly the aircraft, with easy instructions on how to go about replacing the FS2004 panels with FSX ones.

North American Mustang Mk.III, FZ-152 SS, the aircraft of Wing Commander Stanislaw Skalski when he was the C/O of 133 (Polish) Fighter Wing in June 1944. He was the first allied ace of the war, having shot down six german aircraft by 16 september 1939. After the Polish defeat, he fled Poland and joined the RAF, fighting in the battle of Britain. In 1942, he was given command of the Polish Fighting Team (PFT), or so called "Cyrk Skalskiego" (Skalski's Circus) - a Special Flight consisting of fifteen experienced Polish fighter pilot volunteers. They fought in the North African campaign until may 1943. Skalski then became commander of 601 (County of London) Squadron the first Pole to command an RAF Squadron. On 4 April 1944 he was appointed commander of No. 133 Polish Fighter Wing flying the Mustang Mk III. Stanislaw Skalski was the most successful Polish ace of WW II, with a record of 22 confirmed victories, 1 probable, and 1 damaged enemy aircraft. Three times he was awarded the British DFC, and he received many other medals. After the war he returned to Poland in 1947 and joined the Air Force of the Polish Army. In 1948 however he was arrested by the communist regime under the false charge of espionage. Sentenced to death, he spent three years awaiting the execution, after which his sentence was changed to life imprisonment in Wronki Prison. After the end of Stalinism in Poland, in 1956 he was released, rehabilitated, and allowed to join the military. He served at various posts in the Headquarters of the Polish Air Forces. Stanislaw Skalski died in Warsaw on 12 November 2004. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the warbirdsim paintkit.

Aeritalia G91Y 8 Stormo Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The Fiat G91Y was a reconnaissance and ground-attack aircraft produced by Italian company FIAT as an evolution of Fiat G91. The first flight took place in 1966. It was a complete redesign, but the major difference was that G91Y installed 2 engines, in order to increase the power and the capability to survive to damages during war operations. The single Bristol Orpheus turbojet engine of G91 was then replaced by two afterburning General Electric J85 turbojets which increased thrust by 60% over the single-engined variant.
Structural modifications to reduce airframe weight increased performance further and an additional fuel tank occupying the space of the G.91T's rear seat provided extra range. Combat manoeuvrability was improved with the addition of automatic leading edge slats.
Flight testing of three pre-production aircraft was successful, with one aircraft reaching a maximum speed of Mach 0.98. Airframe buffeting was noted and was rectified in production aircraft by raising the position of the tailplane slightly. An initial order of 55 aircraft for the Italian Air Force was completed by Fiat in March 1971. The order was increased to 75 aircraft with 67 eventually being delivered. The first pre-series 'Yankee' (the nickname of the new aircraft) flew in July 1968.

AMI (Italian Air Force) placed orders for two batches, 35 fighters followed by another 20, later cut to ten. The last one was delivered around mid 1976, so the total was two prototypes, 20 pre-series and 45 series aircraft. No export success followed. These aircraft served with 101° Gruppo/8° Stormo (Cervia-S.Giorgio) from 1970, and later, from 1974, they served with the 13° Gruppo/32° Stormo (Brindisi) until the early '90s, as the only ones equipped with the 'Yankee', using them as attack/recce machines, both over ground and sea, until the AMX replaced them. HD textures in 4096 x 4096. complete resize and paint 32bit HD. Virtual cockpit HD. Native model for FSX & P3D
