Lancair Legacy (N23LF) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Lynn Farnsworth built, with the help of with Andy Chiavetta of Aerochia, a Lancair Legacy for racing in the Sport Class at the Reno air races. He had hoped to have it ready to go in 2004, but it wasn't ready until after the race was over. It's modeled after Darryl Greenamyers race plane. N23LF, aka 'Miss Karen II', has a modified TSIO-550 engine and twin turbochargers. The first 'Miss Karen' flown by Lynn, was a F-100 Misty FAC at Phan Rang AB, RVN. Karen, wouldn't you know, is Lynn's wife. Another case of 'name you plane after your wife and you get to keep it!' :-) Google Lt Col. Lynn Farnsworth, he's a heck of a guy! I trust you all have a paid for copy of RealAir's Lancair Legacy. If not, people will be round to see you!

American Airlines NC Boeing 787-8 GE *** UPDATE *** Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
American Airlines NC Boeing 787-8 GE, for use with the Aerosim payware Boeing 787 (www.aerosim.co.jp). This update of aalnc788ge.zip is a complete re-paint of the base colours of the fuselage and engines, creating patterns and gradients which better represent the mica silver used on the real aircraft. The gradients presented all sorts of interesting challenges matching where the textures get mapped onto the air frame in order to ensure that there are no stark differences at the joins. The work is now complete and the result is that the aircraft now really looks more silver than plain grey. After completing the base colours, many fine details were also updated - such as cargo doors, decals, APU doors, nose cone, paint around the cockpit windows, detail under the fuselage, warning lines on engine and fuselage, and much more.

North American AT-6 Texan (N43826) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint for the freeware Warwick "Wozza" Carter AT-6G Texan. This repaint depicts the restored AT-6D Ser. 42-84757, N43826, registered to Natre Air III, LLC. This aircraft was restored by Midwest Texans for owner Nathan Davis, and painted in the fictional, but beautiful, markings of a 325th FG "hack" to match the owner's P-51D "Checkertail Clan". This aircraft won the "Judges' Choice: T-6" award at Oshkosh 2008 and the "Preservation Award" at Oshkosh 2009. This aircraft is often flown in the very capable hands of female warbird pilot Laura Stants. This repaint includes all new exterior textures (including specular and bump maps), new engine and modified wheel well textures, and new and modified cockpit textures throughout. This repaint requires the files t6texmod.zip and fsds_t-6update.zip to be installed first.

Myanmar Airways Int'l "SEAGames" Airbus A319 Download

File Description:
When 27th Southeast Asian Games is around the corner,MAI and its domestic wing,Air KBZ, start to adopt a giant-yellow "Official Main Sponsor" tagline on some of their aircraft. Being the main supporter for the Games and the flag carrier of the host nation, MAI gets one of its A320s (XY-AGO) and an A319(XY-AGR) in this special scheme to mark the another prestigious milestone in the country's history. It will be the third time that Myanmar will host the Games after 44 years. Thus,it is an opportunity, not to be missed,to witness the movements of the special scheme on flag carrier's metal and see it soaring boastfully high above the skies. Thought my airport also deserved this moment too and hence led me into the creation of the repaint.

Cessna Citation 525A CJ2 (G-EDCM) ** UPDATED VERSION ** Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint for the new Carenado Citation CJ2 (Cessna model 525A). G-EDCM is very popular with the Planespotters and Flickr folks hanging around the aerodromes with their camera at the ready. Operated mostly in Europe as a private jet charter aircraft by Air Charter Scotland, LTD, this beautiful business jet is based in Luton. The real plane was built in 2004 in Wichita, Kansas by Cessna Aircraft along with 238 other model CJ2 aircraft. The CJ2 was upgraded to the CJ2+ model with more and better everything not long after this one was built. Part of the CitationJet family the CJ2 is larger than the CJ1 and smaller than the CJ3 or CJ4 but just right for flight sim flying. You will need a copy of the Carenado Cessna 525A Citation CJ2 for FSX or P3D to use this repaint.

Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX EN186 Bluebird Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Spitfire IXc EN186 was the personal aircraft of S/L L.C. Wade, an American flying with the RAF. Wade was born in the small farming community of Broaddus, Texas in 1915. He was the second son of Bill and Susan Wade, who named him L.C. (only after the RAF demanded a forename did he call himself Lance Cleo Wade). After the family moved to a farm near Reklaw, Texas in 1922 he worked on the family farm and attended the local school. He was unable to join the US Army Aviation Cadet Program due to a lack of a college education. He began flying at age 17, at Tucson, Arizona. In 1934 at age 19, Wade joined the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in Arizona. He joined the RAF in Canada in December 1940 and trained with No. 52 Operational Training Unit (OTU). Wade was then sent to the British aircraft carrier Ark Royal and flew off her deck in Hawker Hurricane to reinforce the depleted ranks of aircraft on the island of Malta. He was then sent to Egypt as a Hawker Hurricane Mk I pilot in September 1941, and was posted to 33 Squadron. The squadron's mission was to provide close air support for Operation Crusader, the British assault launched on November 18, 1941, against the German Afrika Korps. His first kills were two Fiat CR.42s on 18 November. He attained the rank of "ace" on 24 November 1941. He began flying Hurricane Mk IIs in April 1942, and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC). He had 13 victories as of September 1942. He spent the next several months back in the US on various RAF projects including evaluating some American fighters at Wright Field. He returned to combat as a Flight Commander in 145 Squadron with a Bar to his DFC, flying Supermarine Spitfire Mk Vs. Promoted to squadron leader, he had a busy 60 days, as by the end of April his score was 21, by then flying Spitfire Mk IXs. His squadron moved to Italy, and as a Spitfire VIII pilot he claimed two Focke-Wulf Fw 190s of Schlachtgeschwader 4 on 2 October 1943. His last claims were three FW 190s (again of SG 4) damaged on 3 November. Wade became a wing commander and joined the staff of the Desert Air Force but was there only briefly, as he was killed in a flying accident on 12 January 1944 at Foggia, Italy. In 30 fights for which he made claims he was credited with 23 victories including two shared), one probable, and 13 damaged. He is also credited with one destroyed and five damaged on the ground. Wing Commander Wade is usually listed with 25 victories but official RAF records show that he had 22 solo victories and half each of two more for a total of 23, not counting one probable. Regardless of whether his score is 25, or 23 victories, he is still the leading American fighter ace to serve exclusively in any foreign air force. Since he never transferred to the USAAF, or any other American Air service, Wade never got the publicity that other American aces received and thus is more obscure than his peers. The aircraft depicted in this repaint, EN186, started its active career with 249 sqn on Malta, who used it for high flying reconaissance, and who were responsible for replacing the dark green with Mediterranean Blue. The aircraft was then transferred to Tunisia, where it was the personal aircraft of W/C Gleed of the 244 wing. After his death, it went to L.C. Wade, who scored 5 victories with it in april 1943. He did not apply any codes to it, and referred to it in his logbook as BB, for Blue Bird. He flew it till august 1943, when he changed to flying Spitfire MK VIII JF472 Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by RealAir.
