This package contains two repaints for Jens B. Kristensen's FSX Douglas DC-4 & C-54 V3.0. One repaint represents Resort Airlines' C-54A (modified to DC-4 standard) N65142 while on lease to Slick Airways from 1 July 1959 till 30 June 1960 for military charter flying (Logair) for the U.S. Goverment. After having returned to Resort Airlines she was placed in open storage at Oakland, CA. The other repaint represents the same aircraft in her British ferry markings she carried in July 1961. Around 1961-62 five ex-Resort C-54s which had been stored at Oakland for some time, ranging from several months to 6 years, were rescued by Aviation Traders (of Southend and Stansted, England) from the scrapdealer's axe and converted to ATL.98 Carvair car-ferry and cargo aircraft. N65142, which was in a very poor condition after her Logair period of minimal maintenance and repeated overloading, as well as the abuse by the elements during the open air storage close to sea water, was one of these lucky birds.

| Braathens SAFE Douglas C-54A |

File Description:
In 1946 and 1947 the newly established Norwegian airline Braathens South American & Far East Airtransport A.S. purchased for its medium- and long haul operations on charter basis four ex-USAAF Douglas C-54A Skymasters. Three of them had been converted to DC-4 standard by Texas Maintenance Company (Temco) at Fort Worth, Texas, and featured on the starboard side an enlarged emergency exit. The fourth C-54A was purchased from KLM. Around 1950 the Norwegian authorities concluded that Braathens' operations got increasingly a structural character, read: scheduled, operations and as such became a threat for Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) which was a conglomerate of "state" airlines of Denmark, Norway and Sweden. SAS received all concessions for the international scheduled routes, which meant the end of the use of the Temco converted C-54A's. These are textures only. You will need Jens B. Roosevelt) and of the Netherlands Government Air Transport, as well as DC-4-1009s and C-54s (modified to DC-4 standard) of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and DDA Dutch Dakota Association. | KLM (1957), Vickers Viscount 803 |

File Description:
KLM was the first non=Britsh airline to order the Vickers Viscount 800 series. They were delivered in 1957 and were named after aviation pioneers. KLM's nine Viscounts, which were the airline's first turboprop equipped aircraft, were mainly used on the European network. With the introduction of the short- to medium haul Douglas DC-9 jetliners in 1966 the days of the Viscount with KLM were numbered. The whole fleet was sold to the Irish Viscount operator Aer Lingus. This repaint represents Viscount PH-VID 'Otto Lilienthal' in the livery of the 1957-1960 period. These are textures only. You will require Jens B. | Sabena (Circa 1960) Douglas DC-6 |

File Description:
The first European operator of the Douglas DC-6 was the Belgian airline Sabena. The first of five DC-6s, which was registered OO-AWA (see Jens B. Kristensen's FSX Douglas DC-6 (dc6_v20x.zip)), was delivered on 15 July 1947. It was introduced on the Brussels-New York service in August 1947. Of course theDC-6s also operated on the Brussels-Leopoldville (now Kinshasa) route, the "lifeline" to the former Belgian colony Congo. From 1953 on they were joined by nine slightly larger DC-6Bs and one DC-6A. Except for OO-AWB which crashed in 1955, the "short" DC-6 had a remarkably long career with Sabena, incl. being leased to Air Congo. The last example was sold in 1965. Original textures by Jens B. Kristensen. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

Update only, requires install of full version V1.30 and the V1.31 update prior to installing this update. Fixes FSX bug that caused loss of communications with FSUIPC when panel resize or switch between windowed/full-screen mode occurred. Other minor bug fixes and improvements.
