The scenery consists of:
The two airports of Narsarsuaq and Kangerlussuaq (Sondre Stromfjord), in detail.
The heliports and towns of Narsaq Kujalleq, Nanortalik, Alluitsup Paa, Qaqortoq, Narsaq, Gronnedal and Arsuk, in detail.
The settlements of the Egaliko Fjord in Southwestern Greenland, in detail.
Three fishing camps with floatplane and helicopter access.
Basic airport buildings at all other airports in Western Greenland.
Several flights with manually edited flight plans and diverse and changing
weather and day/night conditions. All flights have html briefings.
FSNav flightplans.

File Description:
First established as a permanent settlement in 1892, Hay River is located on the south shore of Great Slave Lake in the Canadian Northwest Territories. Like the territorial capital city of Yellowknife 115 miles to the north on the opposite shore of the lake, Hay River experiences brutal weather conditions, with an average mid winter temperature of minus 27C (minus 18F).
* Aprons and taxiways completely redone to be more accurate.
* Missing ground and water features added, land class adjusted.
* All default buildings replaced. Custom terminal building and other custom objects.
* Roads and railroads in vicinity of airport redone.
* Buffalo Airways AI traffic and static water bomber aircraft.

File Description:
This is Kai Tak airport as it was in 1963. Kowloon Bay has yet to be filled in, and the runway is only 8405 ft long. Includes mesh files by Holger Sandmann and charts of the era scanned by Chic Eather. Navaids backdated to the early 60's, except the IGS for runway 13 is included although not actually installed until 1974. Curving approach lights will help you find the runway. Chek Lap Kok airport has been removed. The IGS and other approaches created by Jim Vile. The AI aircraft will follow the curved approach to runway 13 in good weather or bad. Please note that Jim Vile has produced a modern version of this airport (kaitak98.zip).

Story as follows: NEWS FLASH! 08/18/2005 - BUSH PILOT GROUNDED PENDING INVESTIGATION - KETCHIKAN (APX) - The alaska wilderness is no stranger to strange tales. At least that's how it appears in the case of a local bush pilot, Randy Morgan, who had quite a large one to tell.
At 6 PM on the evening of the 16th, Randy and one passenger took off in a Cessna 182RG from Maloney's Tavern on his way back to Ketchikan. "The weather was good and I had no idea what was about to happen" said Randy Morgan. "We had planned our flight to pass over Raptor's Roost and Punchbowl Lake before heading into Ketchikan when I saw it." File Description:
La Nubia Airport (IATA: MZL, ICAO: SKMZ) is located in Manizales, Colombia, 8 km[1] southeast of the city's downtown. Due to its short runway and limited ramp space, the only aircraft which can use the airport are turbopropeller
aircraft such as the Fokker 50, ATR 42 and the Dash 8 models. The main problem of La Nubia airport is weather. Sometimes shut down to fog, rain or winds, it is difficult for airlines to offer a reliable schedule for the passengers
wishing to visit Manizales and Caldas, and combined with its limited hours of operation (just daylight), this fact has been an obstacle for the region's development.
This file is the airport with the runway and taxi ways resized, airport buildings; the airport charts required to navigate in and out of this airport can be found at www.aerocivil.gov.co/ under Informacion Aeronautica click AIP;
on AIP click Aerodromos then click at SKMZ.

I've produced this scenery to provide all of the Ocean Stations I know about in the 1950's and 1960's. There is a ship on station (painted in the colors of the USA, UK, France, Norway, and Japan), an NDB to give you a bearing to the ship, a way to contact the ship using voice (you can get your position relative to the ship this way), and a DME for distances further than the limited 30 NM FS ATC gives you (normal communications would reach about 100 NM). You can also get a weather report, and if you are a seaplane you can be cleared to land. If you are a landplane, I guess this would constitute permission to ditch...

| Little Port Walter for Holger Sandmann's Tongass Fjords scenery |

File Description:
This is a second fish farm at the southern end of Baranof Island and Chatham Strait in southern Alaska. Big Port Walter is named on the chart of the area, and there is a section of the chart included here. Little Port Walter is a much smaller offshoot bay, sheltered from the weather and ideal for a fish farm. This scenery is designed specifically for use in the Tongass Fjord scenery. I may have incorrectly identified Tongass Fjords as being required for Hawk Logging when Glacier Bay is needed. Ah well, it is one or the other of them. The fish farm (or hatchery, the description varies) has an identifying code so it will show up on a gps as PWL. There is no interaction with atc as there are no designated water runways, so PWL on the gps just acts as a waypoint. There will be further posts for use with Tongass Fjords, Misty Fjords, and Glacier Bay, and I still find these scenery areas by Holger and his crew the most satisfying in FS9.

| Funny Farm (4CA2) Brentwood, California Scenery |

This is a scenery upgrade for Funny Farm Airport, Brentwood, California (4CA2) (Why Funny Farm?) This is part Nine of a series of small airstrip and minor airfield scenery enhancements which are based on real world data from Google Earth. The scenery mainly reflects the appearance of the airpark from directly above, so if you are familiar with the place then on the ground it probably looks quite different, due to the limited number of buildings available. This scenery includes the Private lake and dwellings to the southwest of the airstrip proper plus extensive landclass alterations to make the small paddocks in the same area. This is a tough place to land neatly in anything past a C172 in calm weather; the runway is only 20 feet wide! Built using EZ_Scenery, Lee Swordy's AFCAD and SBuilder. You must have rwy12 and EZ scenery libraries installed for the buildings to show. Both libraries of objects are free: EZ Library is available from http://www.abacuspub.com/pub/AbacusEZLibraries.exe and rwy12 and additional EZ Custom libraries from Avsim. Search under Scenery design.

| 13 Northern Ontario Airfields in Canada |

These are 13 airfields in northwest Ontario, Canada. They were previously posted individually, but not on Avsim. There is a screenshot of Google Earth showing their names and locations. There are also updates to two previously posted airports, Red Lake CYRL and Sioux Lookout CYXL, and AI with the supply flights that are vital for these isolated outposts. Pickle Lake is a northern airfield that is connected to the rest of Canada by an all-weather road, and a large number of the supply flights originate from there. In fact these flights are the primary reason for the small towns existence. This will be followed by a posting of a similar number of northern Manitoba airfields. You may wonder about the numbers of fuel tanks at these airfields. These are not for the airfield use, they are for the settlement to be able to generate electricity and also to provide heating in the winter. This version uses scenery ships, which will not disappear in multiplayer. There is only a US ship, however. For the AI ship version (with ships of several countries) download OceanStations.zip instead.
