File Description:
Lanyu airport (RCLY) is the only airport in Lanyu Island. Lanyu, or Orchid Island, is situated off the southeastern coast of Taiwan. The island is inhabited mainly by Tao tribespeople, the most primitive of Taiwan's aborigines, who still retain much of their traditional culture and lifestyle. They call their island "Ponso no Tao", which means "the island where we live" in Tao language and also implies their rich culture. Based on Tao's traditional decorated canoes, Lanyu airport has the most special airport building in Taiwan. With Gmax technology, this package provides Lanyu airports with several improvements based on Part1. Require el_formosa_part1.zip.

FS2004 Scenery for Hilo International Airport, Hawaii. The Hilo region is blessed with dramatic waterfalls, fertile rainforests and blooming gardens; the geographic flipside of the volcanic Kohala Coast. A busy farming and fishing area in early times, Hilo evolved into a commercial center for the sugar industry in the 1800's. Downtown Hilo was built around its crescent-shaped bay and became the seat of county government. Today Hilo is a vibrant town, home to great museums, art galleries, unique shops and perennial favorites like the Hilo Farmers Market. Scenery contains custom and default objects as well as custom AI aircraft.

Fort Smith is just north of the border between Alberta and Northwestern Territories, midway between Lake Athabasca to the southeast in (mostly) Saskatchewan (80 miles) and Great Slave Lake to the north west (90 miles). The runways all used to be larger, and while I don't know the history it looks as if it is ex-military and these are the remains of what were once 10,000 feet of asphalt. The main runway is now 11/29 and 6,000 feet long, and the secondary one is 1,800 feet of mostly gravel. There is an airline based at the field, Northwestern Air, and fuel (both 100LL and JA-1) is available at a self service point so long as you give it a credit card to read while you fill. The town of Fort Smith is two miles east of the airfield, on the bank of the Slave River and where there are some rapids that require a portage to get around them. Before aviation came along the river was a major route to the north and all those furry animals, which was why the Hudson's Bay Company established an outpost there in 1872. Today it has a population of 2,400 and the main activities are government administration of much of the Northwest Territories, education, and tourism.

All of these airfields are in or close to the Athabasca Tar Sands in Alberta, modelled here along with the airfields. The tar sands workings extend along the Athabasca River for over 60 miles north of Fort McMurray in northern Alberta, and the huge cleared areas, surface mining, tailings ponds, and refineries along the Athabasca are right up there as Alberta's biggest VFR landmark. One look at a tailings pond (sea? ocean?) makes it clear that someone was worried about public reaction to the size. As well as the surface mining there are also large areas where there is underground extraction with a grid of dirt tracks between equipment installations. There are four airfields associated with the tar sands. Horizon CYNR is a public service airport operated by Canadian Natural Reources Ltd. Mildred Lake CER4 is owned and operated by Syncrude. Albian CAL4 is owned and operated by Shell Canada, and Firebag CFG6 is owned and operated by Suncor Energy. The fifth airfield is the nearby Muskeg Tower CFW4, which is there solely to support folks during their fire watch in the 120 feet tall tower. There is also a sixth airfield east of Horizon across the river and still visible, Bitumount; this is no longer in use. There is Ai included involving Canadian North, North Cariboo, Wasaya, HTS, First Air, Suncor, etc.

| Repulse Bay CYUT in Nunavut Canada |

This is a scenery that I started in 2013, temporarily abandoned when I found there was a fault in the coastline that reduced it all to straight lines, and then totally forgot about. Until now, when I discovered that while I had made the Repulse Bay terminal building I had mysteriously not made the scenery. Investigation revealed the reason why and here it is with a coastline that has been repaired to the extent that the fault allowed. Repulse Bay has a population of around 1,100 and since 2015 has been officially named Naujaat, the traditional Inuit name. It is located exactly on the arctic circle on the northern extension of the western side of Hudson Bay, in a large bay off the northern tip of Southampton Island. Coral Harbour is on the far side of the island, 180 miles to the south. The airfield is alongside the town and the coast, with the runway 3,400 feet of gravel with PAPI at both ends, aligned 161T-341T with "T" standing for true as opposed to the unreliable magnetic bearing this far north. The regular scheduled flights are by Air Baffin (an Air Nunavut subsiduary), connecting to Iqaluit some 550 miles to the east. The helicopters are there in the summer with their own fuel in drums around their own parking apron. They land directly on the apron, which cannot be replicated in AI, so they are present only as parked choppers and not flying ones.

These are 13 checkpoints of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race that starts the first week of March. The support pilots must deliver food, medicines, and other stuff to the competitors on each checkpoint. The race begins at Anchorage, AK and runs through the Alaskan territory until reach Nome, AK in the north part of the state. More information about the race and trail maps on www.iditarod.com

Details in the download. There is also docking facilities for seaplanes. At night, fires are set in the field to guide you in. There are also some animated Northern Lights that dance in the sky.

Ust-Kamenogorsk is located in East Kazakstan approximately 1200 km to the north of Almaty and at about 3500 km to the east of Moscow. The Ust-Kamenogorsk airport, called (TOF / UASK), is located 5 km to the west of the city. It's very close to the real one. High detail and a very accurate representation of the airport is given. | Northern Venezuela SRTM Mesh Part 1 |

This terrain mesh scenery covers north of Venezuela (southern boundary is 8°48'N) and Dutch caribeans: Aruba, Curacao & Bonaire islands.
Based on SRTM Data (3 arcsec, 90m), generated with Matthew Styles's program "SRTM To BGL v1.04", sampled to LOD9 resolution (76m) with 5 interpolation passes.
This part contains Venezuela-NE.bgl, Venezuela-N.bgl plus all islands. See venezuela_n_mesh_pt1-1.jpg for the .BGL files coverage.

File Description:
Bitburg lies among the hills of the of the Eiffel about 50 km north of Trier, Compared to most Air force Bases Bitburg is quite small, but for its entire existence it was the best assignment in the Air Force. Bitburgs punch came from the 36 Fighter Wing and its 3 Squadrons of F15 Eagles, the 525th, (Bulldogs) Big 22, (Stingers) and the 53rd (Tigers).
