| Helmericks 22AK on the North Slope, Alaska |

Helmericks is on the northern coast of Alaska, 150 miles east of Barrow and 50 miles west of Prudhoe Bay. It is on the shore of Colville Island in the delta of the Colville River, and hasn't changed much from when Harmon Helmericks set up house there in the late 1950's. He lived there with his wife and two sons guiding hunting trips and running a fishing operation, and then in 1966 he was involved in the first north slope exploratory oil well drilling operation by Sinclair Oil, which was to lead to the opening up of the north slope in the 1970's. Read "The last of the Bush Pilots" if you want to know more about it. The dirt runway is around 2,400 feet long (long enough for the Wien DC3 to get in with supplies) and the house is still there along with storage sheds. To the southwest are the other houses (three of them) which make up the rest of Colville Village. If you want to have the frozen lakes and river and sea then look for my recent post which will freeze them until you get bored and want to put your floats back on.

| Clyde River CYCY & Cape Christian in Nunavut Canada |

File Description:
Clyde River is a village on the northeast coast of Baffin Island, 250 miles above the Arctic Circle and around 150 miles north of Cape Hooper. It is on the shore of Patricia Bay at the entrance to Cylde Inlet, a fjord which stretches over 60 miles inland. The population is around 880 folks, and it was named by the explorer John Ross in 1818. The airfield is just east of the village and the lighted runway is 3,501' of 100' wide gravel at 87' ASL, aligned 018 True 198 True; "True" as opposed to magnetic in the Northern Domestic Airspace. There are two aprons, one with the new terminal building and one with the old terminal and the garage. Five miles northeast of Clyde River is Cape Christian, where there is a gravel runway around 3,000' long and adjacent to the beach, built to serve what was started as a weather station and later became a LORAN navigation system station. The station is still there, though it was closed some time ago and is now the subject of decontamination work. The runway is usable, though only for light planes as it is a bit rough. First Air and Canadian North are the AI planes visting Clyde River.

| North Manitoba Airfields 20# in Canada |

These are 20 airfields in north Manitoba, Canada. They were all previously posted individually But not on Avsim. There is a screenshot of Google Earth showing their names and locations amid other airfields. "Lodge" indicates the fact that there is a fishing lodge and airfield at that location but that I have no information to enable me to make the scenery. There are also some airfields that I downloaded years ago and are part of my FS9 set up, such as Flin Flon. There is AI with the supply flights that are vital for these isolated outposts. Gillam is a northern airfield that is connected to the rest of Canada by a railroad that continues north to Churchill Manitoba on the Hudson Bay coast and is used for grain exports during the ice-free summer months. A large number of the supply flights originate from Gillam. You may wonder about the numbers of fuel tanks at these airfields. These are not for the airfield use, they are for the settlement to be able to generate electricity and also to provide heating in the winter. | Cape Hooper CWFH and FOX-4 DEW Line Station in Nunavut, Canada |

Cape Hooper is around 60 miles north of Kivitoo (FOX-D) and 140 miles south of Clyde River CYCY on the northeast-facing coast of Baffin Island. FOX-4 is still in use as a new and mostly-unmanned North Warning System site was established there in 1990 before the DEW line station was closed in 1991. Actually the DEW line station was not "closed" as such, they just stopped using it. The site of FOX-4 is on the top of a bump at the end of one of many long promontories that stick out into the Davis Strait between Baffin Island and Greenland, close to the far eastern end that is called Cape Hooper. There is a gravel runway to the west, down at 65' ASL; it is only just over 3,000' long and most material was delivered by sea to the beach at the southern end of the runway. The runway is signed as
"324T - 144T" as this is Northern Domestic Airspace where all runways are signed "true" and not "magnetic"; it is 013/193 magnetic with a huge magnetic variation of 48.9 degrees in this area where the magnetic field is mostly vertical, and so useless for navigation.

Scenery homage to a beautifull little town in north of Como lake of Italy; builded-up mainly with some existing objects and some buildings sintax made. It DOES NOT INCLUDE any airport, but represents only some pictures of Dervio town, reachable from Como Idroscalo floating airport or Samolaco or Sondrio Caiolo airports (closest ones); this is one of the moorings of Navigazione del Lago di Como. Informations: Dervio is one of the beautiful towns on north east area of Como lake, on a handland created by Varrone river. North and closed to the town, you can find Corenno Plinio old castle and in the opposite side of the lake the S. Bernardo church; you can also have some fireworks, obviously suggested with the night. Contents:
Mooring pier at snack bar, with awning and tables; Ferryboat in the lake with some sailbots in race between two buoys; Walk alongside the shore of the lake, with benches and some fisher piers; Main church with related church house and footbal soil; Several buildings, parking area, factories, bar and restaurant with tables chairs and gazebos, gas station and cars; Rail station with a small train and road gates; Sailbots on ground inside Centro Vela Dervio area and slipway with dinghy; Little marina with boats; Public park with entering gate, covered stand and tables; Residence La Boldona bloks with buildings, swimmin pool and tennis facilities, fenced; Campsite with campers, roulottes and tents; Corenno Plinio castle with tower and S. Bernardo little church; Spread of trees in all the scenery; (night scenery)two floating platforms wiht fireworks; six wood bonfires on shore of lake and on the mountains; One big ship with some other sailboats and speedboats

| Chilko Lake CAG3 & Scum Lake CAW3 in British Columbia Canada |

File Description:
Chilko Lake and Scum Lake are both on the eastern side of the Coast Mountains of British Columbia. Chilko Lake CAG3 is around 30 miles south of Puntzi Mountain and at the northern end of the lake, serving Tsylos Park Lodge, which caters for trekking, horse riding, mountain biking, fishing etc. The runway is 3,200 feet of gravel aligned 18-36 and unlit, at 3,850 feet ASL (above sea level). Scum Lake is around 30 miles southeast of Puntzi Mountain and 25 miles northeast of Chilko Lake. Don't ask me about the name. The airstrip appears to serve a small village and is noted as "private", so perhaps also a lodge operation. The runway is 3,500 feet of gravel aligned 03-21, unlit and at 3,921 feet ASL. I have posted these as a separate scenery, but I suggest that you just add it to your previously created "BC airfields" and avoid the inevitable doubling up of common textures etc. Plus that way you will have just one FS9 library post to do and new airfields will not need yet another posting. This is a minor update to my previously released KOTH.zip. This fixes a few taxi signs that were facing the wrong way, as well as flattening the commercial ramp area for users that have Ultimate Terrain/FSGenesis 38.2 mesh installed for the area.

| "Caiolo" Sondrio Airport, Valtellina, North Italy |

File Description:
In this airport reside AvioValtellina and VolaValtellina, as well as the operational base of the Health Service 118 and Mountain Rescue. It also base of the Aeroclub Sondrio with its Flight School VDS. Site at the beginning of the Valtellina, in Caiolo municipality (N46 09.0 E09 48.0), has an asphalt runway from 1050x23 mts, ground communication frequency 129.50; ICAO code: LILO. It is also enclosed the base of INAER Aviation, located in Colico-Piantedo (N46 08.18 E09 24.19 - code LIEI), that operates in Medical Emergency, rescue operations in the mountains and off-shore. Scenery realized on the real cooordinates of the airport (except for elevation) including the scenery of the heliport INAER Colico. Requires the use of the libraries' dva51 "and the system of vegetations "TreePlanter".
