File Description:
Presenting the new TDS Boeing 757-200! This model features, dynamic shine, opening passenger & cargo door, standard animations, realistic FDE, new detailed lighting effects, and much more. Model design by Hiroshi Igami. Flight dynamics design by Nate Rosenstrauch. Additional development, testing, and textures by TDS members Nick Wilkinson, Carlos Eduardo Salas, Yosuke Ube, Stian Svensen, David Biggar, and Luiz Antonio Perina. More information can be found at https://www.facebook.com/groups/214187952530554/ Song was a low-cost airline brand within Delta, operating from 2003 to 2006. It's main focus was leisure traffic between the northeast, Florida, and the west coast, to compete with growing LCCs. Its fleet of 45 757s featured a lime green livery and an all-economy seating configuration with seatback IFE. One aircraft however, N610DL, was painted in a special pink livery to raise awareness of the fight against breast cancer with partner, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Also includes custom Delta ground crew and equipment. Enjoy!

Canadian and Northern USA Winter Flying Download

File Description:
This is an expanded version of a previous post a year ago, and stretches from east of Quebec City through Quebec, Ontario, and Manitoba, and now also through Saskatchewan, and into Alberta (past Calgary). There is also a northern area roughly centered on Hudson Bay. The exact coverages are given in the notes. All rivers and lakes within the area will "freeze" and allow ski planes to land, or even wheeled planes come to that. And it is not permanent, when you want to go back to floats just "untick" it in the FS library, and it will melt. The area covered crosses into the US too, down to around 45 degrees north, so that means most of Montana, all of North Dakota, half of Minnesota, and some of Wisconsin, Michigan etc. It seemed silly to stop at the border. Ultimate Terrain is highly recommended, so that there will actually be the right lakes and rivers ready to freeze.

Waskaganish CYKQ in James Bay, Quebec, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Waskagansh is a village with 2,500 or so inhabitants at N51 28 W78 45 on the southeast shore of James Bay. It was founded in 1668 as Fort Charles (later it became Fort Rupert) and was the first Hudson's Bay Company trading post in the James Bay area. The village's current name means Little House in the Cree language. The village does not feature in FS9 but is included in this scenery with approximately the right shape; just think of it as a hand-made auto-generated village.

I also had to add the roads (the file called "waskROADS"), delete the stock airfield background ("WaskDELETE"), and add a new background ("WaskGRASS") plus of course there is the usual scenery file and the AFCAD and AI. There is also a note in here on what to do about a possible texture problem for the village that I have discussed with two downloaders and solved. I hope.

Flying Tiger Line - Flight #152 - Los Angeles to New York, May 1955 Download

File Description:
Three separate IFR flight-plans covering the scheduled Flying Tiger Lines service #152 from Los Angeles to New York as at 1st. May 1955. The aircraft used on "Daybreaker" Flight #152 was the Douglas DC-6A. This particular flight commences in Los Angeles at 23:00 Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), arrives in Chicago at 07:15 Central Daylight Time (CDT) the next morning, departs Chicago at 08:30 CDT, arrives in Detroit (Willow Run) at 09:45 Eastern Standard Time (EST), departs Detroit at 11:00 EST and finally arrives in New York (Newark) at 14:10 EDT. Talk about a confusion of timezones! To make the most from this package you should download and install the CalClassic DC-6B model and also the Flying Tiger Lines livery created by Wayne Tudor. The latter is available from www.avsim.com and is file ftl_dc6a.zip. The aircraft itself is available from www.calclassic.com/dc6b.htm. Note that it must be a small-spinner model, not the aircraft with the larger streamlined spinners.

CWBH - Bernard Harbour - Nunavut, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Bernard Harbour was a DEW line "iStation" (a small station with a staff of 5 or 7 people) on the nothern mainland coast 75 miles north of Kugluktuk, and 45 miles west of Lady Franklin Point. It closed in 1963. The slowly deteriorating buildings are still there, along with a fallen radio communications mast. The runway is also still there and has 3,040 feet of gravel, aligned 122T/302T. There is now no runway lighting, no signage, no windsock, and the bushes growing amid the gravel are winning, though slowly. In 1991 a North Warning System (NWS) automated station was established 3 miles to the southwest and there is a second smaller runway there (1,450 feet) along with a helicopter pad. A road joins the two sites for when diesel resupply is undertaken from a ship in the summer, and the zigzag route is (in reality) dictated by the numerous ponds that are too small to be picked up by Ultimate Terrain.

South African Air Force Trainer Set Download

File Description:
If you would like to start your military flying career, this file is for you. First, cut your teeth on the basic North American T-6 Texan (Harvard) and then move on to the twin-seater Atlas Impala Mk. 1 (Aermacchi MB326M) to start your jet training. Finally, move on to your own single-seater jet, the Atlas Impala Mk. 2 (Aermacchi MB326KC) to become fully operational. All three aircraft include checklists and virtual dynamic cockpits. They are all fully animated (including opening canopies), have full lighting effects and include custom panels. The "Aircraft overstressed"-problem that occurs when trying fast maneuvers has also been rectified, so you can throw them about at your hearts content. HAPPY FLYING!!
