This is an updated version of this scenery to correct texturing errors. My thanks to the the good folks on the MAIW forums for catching and correcting this error. Situated in the San Francisco Bay Area and known as the "Gateway to the Pacific", Travis Air Force Base handles more cargo and passenger traffic through its airport than any other military air terminal in the United States. Originally laid out as a SAC base for long range bombers, the original hangar line and facilities for B-36 and B-52 aircraft have been largely rebuilt over the years to accommodate the current cargo operations of the 60th Air Mobility Wing (host at Travis). The 60th supports and deploys both the C-5 Galaxy and C-17 Globemaster as well as its own refueling squadrons of KC-10 Tankers. In addition, the base's former SAC alert facility now supports 2 transient Navy E-6B Mercury TACAMO aircraft detached from Tinker AFB, Oklahoma.

File Description:
King Khalid AB, Khamis Mushait, Saudi Arabia (OEKM) for Microsoft default scenery only. This airport is located in mountainous terrain, in the southwest corner of the country, not far from both the Red Sea coast and the border with Yemen. No material changes were made to the stock airport layout as the ramps and taxiway network were already complete and free of errors. I have added 78 parking spaces:- 23 GA; 26 Mil_combat; 10 BBJ; 8 Gate Small; 3 Gate Medium; 2 Gate Heavy; 4 Mil_Cargo; 2 Civilian cargo. Parking code settings are for SVA, SVAV, BBJ, M000-M003. At the time of writing, scheduled airlines fly to nearby Abha airport. If you use Ed Kooymans' AI flightplans then you will see some AI activity at Khamis. Flights from OEKM direct to OETB overfly Jeddah en route but, when writing your own flightplans, note that the elevation of OEKM is 6778' and local terrain is higher still.

The Airspeed AS.5 Courier was a British six-seat single-engined light aircraft that saw some use as an airliner. Production aircraft were built by Airspeed (1934) Limited at Portsmouth. It first flew on 10 April 1933 and was the first British type with a retractable undercarriage to go into production, with a total of 16 built.
Owing to its advanced aerodynamics, two AS.5's were used as research aircraft, one by the Royal Aircraft Establishment and one by Napier's, who used it for development of the Napier Rapier engine.
The Rapier was the first of Napier's H cylinder engines. The rationale for the H is fairly straightforward, in that rather than having an engine with fewer large cylinders, more small cylinders could simply be added. It was believed that an H pattern engine would provide substantially more power and higher RPM's for the same frontal area as a large liquid-cooled V engine.

File Description:
Nimpo Lake is less than 10 miles south of Anahim Lake, and is a centre for fishing lodges and other "nature" activities such as hiking and hunting etc. As a result there is considerable float plane activity on the lake as clients are flown in, or out, to other lakes that are nearby, or just on sightseeing jaunts. This one, CF04, is the last of a trio of Nimpo Lake float bases, and is at the far end of the lake from the other two. It is for Nimpo Lake Resort, a lodge and cottages to accommodate anglers and hikers etc. To the south of the lake, and included here, is what I have called Nimpo Lake Land CF51. It cannot by any stretch of imagination be called an airfield, but it is a cleared area and it has been used by wheeled planes. There is no runway as such and it is somewhat bumpy. The AI and the Beavers were included in the posting of CAF8.

Low polygon version Lockheed Martin (General Dynamics) F-16C and F-16D by Henry Tomkiewicz. Features animated landing gear, flaps, air brakes, and LANTIRN navigation pod. Also features conditionally activated canopy and pilot(s) as well as a realistic afterburner effect along with customized lights. This package includes 20 different visual models ranging from 1975 to 3288 polygons (ACM). All models feature 10 levels of detail (LODs) and are designed for AI use. The F-16C has both standard and drag chute tails along with 7 different loadout options: Clean, Normal, Long Range, Air-to-Air, Mk.84, JDAM, and AGM-65. This German assault/freight glider, developed by the DFS (Deutsche Forschungsanstalt fur Segelflug / German Research Institute for Sailplane Flight), was used for the first time during the operation against the Belgian Fort Eben Emael near Maastrich (May 10, 1940). They were also used during Krete invasion (Maleme, 1941), in the Western Desert and on the Russian Front for transport purposes. Were used also to deliver the Otto Skorzeny's commandos against the Gran Sasso mountain-top hotel that was used to hold Mussolini (Sept.12, 1943).
The Royal Italian Air Force (Regia Aeronautica) received from the Luftwaffe almost 20 '230 and 4 Gotha Go-242, but they were used only for training.
UPGRADED VERSION, now with functionally jettisonable undercarriage, drag chute and revised flight dynamics. Complete aircraft. Original GMAX hi-res model, features the usual moving parts, such as all flight controls, canopy and doors (5 different versions); Five different liveries (4 'LW' +1 "R.A.'); multiview 2D panel (NO VC). Luftwaffe Fiat/Aeritalia G.91. I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this backbone of close air support in Europe during the Cold War years. The G.91 was built to suit a requirement for a NATO-compatible aircraft for close air support and light strike roles, able to operate from terrain as primitive as a flat grassy meadow (I found photos during research that support this). Going into production in 1961, this aircraft was manufactured for 19 years and served three European air forces for 35 years. The G.91 saw extensive combat service in Africa while operated by the Portuguese Air Force.
An original 7-LOD model brings this historic aircraft to the flightsim world. This package represents the G.91 in the service of the Luftwaffe; with a total of 10 models and 86 repaints. Aircraft models covered are the G.91R3, G.91R4, and G.91T3. Aircraft, textures, and flight dynamics by Michael Pearson.

Note: The B762 livery has a special feature on the right fuselage not to be found on the original due to obvious reasons, though I thought it would be a toughtful gesture to have it there.
Note: FAIB resized to 1024x1024 for FS9. Night texture down to 512x512. If there are issues let me know. All other textures are 1024x1024.

| Douglas VC-118-DO 'The Independence' |

File Description:
This Douglas VC-118-DO was the personal aircraft of President Harry S. Truman. It was named 'The Independence' after President Truman's home town in Missouri. The aircraft was delivered on 1 July 1947 and served from 4 July 1947 on as a presidential aircraft till 1953 when Gen. Dwight Eisenhower became President of the USA. It seems that the rather special paint job was based on an idea by President Truman himself. 46-0505 served on as a general VIP transport till 1966 when it was donated to the Smithonian Institute for preservation. It is on loan to the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.'The Independence' could accommodate for 24 day or 12 sleeper passengers (in the main cabin). It had a luxurious State Room aft of the passenger door. Usually there was a crew of eight. It is featured here in its original tan, blue and metal livery. You will require Jens B. Kristensen's great FS2004 Douglas DC-6 (early version) (dc6_v20.zip). Original textures by Jens B. Kristensen. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.
