P-38L Lightning "Ruff Stuff" N79123 Download

File Description:
This is a repaint only for David C. Copley's freeware P-38L Lightning. This airplane, owned by Ron Fagen, just finished an extensive rebuild by Fagen's Warhawks Inc. of Granite Falls, Minnesota and became the fourth currently flying P-38 in the world. Making its first air show appearance at EAA Airventure 2007, the aircraft was completed in the markings of Norb Ruff's P-38G "Ruff Stuff". Norb Ruff, a Wisconsin native, completed 50 combat missions in the original "Ruff Stuff" during WWII, based in the south Pacific, operating with the 80th FS, 8th FG, "The Headhunters". This repaint replicates a wide assortment of details, from a full set of factory stencils to inspection stickers on every removable panel, hand painted nose art and more, matching the real example in nearly every way possible.

Far Eastern Air Transport, McDonnell Douglas MD-82, B-28035 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is the livery repainted by use of the Paintkit which was made by David Rawlins. The "zip" file contained texture files only and to be used with the AI Aardvark MD-8X Base Model available separately: (aia_md8x.zip). Far Eastern Air Transport was ever the biggest domestic airlines in Taiwan. The company was forced to shup down operations due bankrupt in May, 2008. After three years effort, the company was restructured and restarted its services on April 18, 2011. Currently, the company got four MD-82, four MD-83 and two B757-200. However only 3 of them got the certification to operated which were B-28025, B-28027 and B-28035. This Aircraft was bought from U-Land Airlines several years ago and ever wet-leasted for Vietnam Pacific Airlines by U-Land.

Frozen rivers and lakes for winter ski operations along the Canada/USA border and Alaska Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This "freezes" lakes and rivers in a wide strip along both sides of the Canadian and US border and part of Alaska (and is reversible with a tick in the FS9 library) and can be landed on with skis or wheels for winter operations. The area covered is from east of Quebec City to west of Calgary and Edmonton, with an extension north to cover Hudson Bay, so from from 70 west to 100 west and 40 north to 56 north (65 north in the Hudson Bay area). This includes large parts of Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, and most of North Dakota and Montana, and the Alaska north shore and around Anchorage. This is really for use with Ultimate Terrain, though it will work without it. But as UT is what gets all the lakes and rivers there and in the right place it would be a shame not to be using UT.

RCAF Avro Arrow 416 Lynx Squadron Download

File Description:
Textures only. Avro Arrow in 416 Lynx Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force. Real plane, real livery, but fictional that this livery was on this plane, as the real plane was never addopted into service. Inspired by a repaint by Shane Strong (do a search for his repaints, some 190 quality paints!) on the Alphasim Voodoo, I undertook to replicate (nothing coppied from his work) the feel of that historic 'special' livery, on what the RCAF pilots SHOULD have been flying...the Arrow. If you don't know this plane, or it's history, you really ought to do a search and check out it's story. Amazing, powerful, speedy, had many technological firsts, and many more which were being designed but never completed (imagine for instance it's missiles, which were basically simple AMRAAM's in the 60's) Requires:Mike Stone's Avrow Arrow, get it at: http://www.pmstone.com/ or any of the usual big sites. Optional:"Version 2 Update" (edit/tweek, effects) by Bob Chicilo (got mine at Avsim).

Beaver DHC-2 Avionics Upgrade for the 2D and VC Panels Download

File Description:
Having spent significant amounts of time flying in the less-hospitable territories in the FS world such as Alaska and the Canadian Northern Territories, I've grown fond of the more rugged and capable aircraft which operate in these areas. The DHC-2 is the workhorse of the North. Granted, modern times have introduced aircraft with turbo-powered airframes and all sorts of electronic gadgetry to enhance airborne capabilities, but I cannot think of a single plane flying in these areas today which could fly safely with zero batteries and fuel. The DHC-2 is a rock, and it was for this reason that I found it both fit and suitable to upgrade the already-included Bendix/King suite with a 2-axis autopilot, a fuel burn status gauge (worth its weight in gold in Alaska and Canada), and a red-light nighttime digital OAT gauge. REQUIRES THE AEROSOFT BEAVER DHC-2 FOR FS2004/FS9.

CWCP - Cape Parry - Northwest Territories, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a DEW line Main Station on the shore of the Canadian mainland at the far northern tip of Cape Parry. It is 60 miles north of Paulatuk, which is at the base of the Parry Peninsula, and 120 miles south of Sachs Harbour on Banks Island. The station ceased operations in 1989 and a North Warning System automated station was opened in the same year; the NWS station is not shown in this scenery as I have no information regarding it's location or layout. The runway is just over 5,000 feet of gravel 150 feet wide, aligned 037T at an elevation of 119 feet ASL. There is a large apron with a large hangar and a small shelter building for passengers. There are of course no lights, signage, or windsock. The station is up on the hill at 210 feet ASL. This is one of the more interesting stations in terms of size and complexity.

Arik Air Bombardier CRJ-900 'Patrick' (5N-JEB) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
In August of 2006, I released a repaint of Arik Air's first CRJ-900 in the Project Opensky model, still bearing the Canadian registration number. Well, it's been a few years and Arik Air has a fleet of 4 CRJ9's in service. This is registration 5N-JEB and bears the name "PATRICK".

This release of the Arik Air CRJ9 is a very detailed repaint with custom textures. Logos are all hand-painted. All windows are custom, hand-painted, 3D with window shades. The night textures are custom as well. The repainted textures in this package are 32-bit with no mipmaps for best clarity and quality. This is a complete install; Opensky CRJ-900 model and air files included. Uses Project Opensky CRJ panel and default Lear45 sounds. (This is a reupload of a work from October 2009 that was lost as a result of the AVSIM site compromise.)

Inukjuak CYPH - Northern Quebec, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Inukjuak is a fairly large village on the east coast of Hudson Bay, in Quebec, around 115 miles south of Puvirnituq. The usual Hudson Bay Company post was established there in 1920, and with the opening of a school in 1951 the population grew as the nomadic way of life faded away; the population is now around 1350. Some of the population was forcibly relocated to Resolute and Grise Fiord in 1953 as "human flagpoles", a shameful act by the Canadian government that is hard to believe could ever happen. The airfield is a mile inland from the village and the 3,520 feet of gravel runway is aligned 07/25, and these are magnetic bearings as Inukjuak is not in the Northern Domestic Airspace zone. Both JETA-1 and 100LL fuel is available, though there may be only a limited quantity of 100LL, and probably in drums. The visiting AI airline is Air Inuit.

1938 Aeronca K Download

File Description:
An elegant little princess, the K was the only Aeronca model to survive the catastrophic 1937 flood. It's also my first successful (I think) cabin plane. The K still used the 37 hp engine of the homely model C, but included yoke control in a fully enclosed cabin and provided a more comfortable, much safer and certainly better looking aircraft. The virtual aircraft includes my usual mediocre 2D panel, a VC, standard animation for the type and reflective textures. Doors open with Shift+E. You can toggle the wheelpants on or off with the strobe light key. Also includes U.S. and Canadian versions, and Dave Eckerts' pilot figure. I've optimized for FS9 in that almost all the gauges are FS9 and I've started with an FS9 airfile. PLEASE read the Readme!! Not being the brightest fellow, I've had trouble getting images to appear in the description, use Zipdive to see some in the Zip file.

CYKF Version 2.1 Full Package Download

File Description:
I have now overhauled the CYKF Airport and made it the lively place it is today. I used the Canada Flight Supplement and my real life knowledge of the airport as this is where I do my flight training. --Extended runway 25/07 and added the new taxiway and renamed the others --Changed the landclass for the runway 25/07 extension --Updated the airport in AFCAD for AI to use the runway 25/07 extension --Added 6 AI flightplans to the 3 already there. AI will model real life training and commercial operations of the airport --AI use proper Canadian registration codes --Tested the files to make sure it operates correctly including AI --2.1 Revisions I updated the Traffic_CYKF file to use UTC times instead of local which I did by mistake. The AI will now fly at the proper times. ---**NOTE for those who have version 2.0 a separate upgrade only file is available **---
