I originally released this aircraft here on January 26th 2007. I recently received some valuable input from He Lingyuan, a fellow simmer from the great land of China. This input lead to a correction on the Chinese lettering on the right side of the fuselage. Thank you He Lingyuan. So, I took this opportunity to correct another problem with this aircraft repaint; the Rolls Royce engine logos. They were missing from the original repaint. They are now present. So, with these changes consider this re-release as a version 2.
Repainted textures are 32-bit with no mipmaps. As before, this is a full install; Dreamwings Design ERJ-145 model and air files included. Uses default panel and sounds, but see README file for panel and sound suggestions.
NOTE: This is a re-upload due to the AVSIM site compromise.

Tips and Tricks - 24 - The FINAL issue. Issue number 24 officially brings to an end the Tips and Tricks for FS2004 series. This issue is packed with some useful tips and how-to's, valuable web-site links and much, much more. The "From the E-mail bag" segment explores several ways to recover disk space and there is a special interview with a prolific author of FS scenery. You will also find a Bonus File which will make the startup of a reviewed aircraft considerably easier. Look for a special Holiday recommendation (for kids of all ages). I have even thrown in a bit of Aviation humor. An updated index for the entire series (by John Burford) is also included. Hopefully you will find something of use, be you a "newbie" or a long time simmer. Please unzip (using folders option) to a temporary folder. Compiled in pdf format for your flying enjoyment by David "Opa" Marshall.

If you have downloaded PART I - Flying the Boeing 737 Made Easy then it is a must to download this file to help you land this beautiful aircraft. The tutorial is in PDF format and the file should be easily read by most Adobe © Acrobat Readers.
This visual tutorial is to help the many simmers old and new to make landing the Boeing 737 as easy and enjoyable as possible. This tutorial was developed for FS2004/FS9. This technique has not been tried in earlier versions; however, I believe that the techniques are pretty much the same.
The most frustrating part as a new simmer is to successfully take off enjoy a nice flight and land the aircraft without incident. That is the reason why I developed this tutorial and PART I: Fly the Boeing 737 Made Easy.

SkyHigh Audio Simulations is proud to present our brand new radial engine Douglas DC-3 Pratt and Whitney R-1830 sound pack for FSX! This sound could also be used for other twin engine P&W R-1830 powered aircraft such as the PBY Catalina/Canso.
FSX's sound cone technology has been extensively used to provide as much of a realistic sound experience as possible in the exterior view. Features include propwash sound effects from immediately behind the propeller, realistic radial engine start-up sounds, and a very realistic sounding fly-by! SkyHigh Audio Simulations' usual touches have been added such as using audio recordings only from Dogulas DC-3 and other P&W R1830 radial engine powered aircraft as source files to provide a fully authentic sound experience for the simmer. If you're a keen flight Simmer like myself you strive for realism - you have found the most detailed favourite aircraft in your airline colours - you have downloaded accurate scenery and AFCAD files for your flying area, but when it comes time to fly, the realism is shattered because your aircraft's panel looks 'comic book' or far from the real thing. It is with this in mind that I developed this final version of my previously designed 737 700/800 panel. Although it is hard to accurately position every gauge and function of the real panel into the sim one - because of size constraints I believe this panel is as realistic as is possible. You have the glass 'usuals' HSI, EICAS, FMS, NAv AI TRAFFIC RADAR as well as the stanby 'steam' gauges. I have tried to rework the photoreal panel bitmap with appropriate graphics to achieve shadowing. I hope you enjoy using it.

This FS2004 scenery reproduce the second-busiest italian airport "Milan Malpensa" (Iata: MXP, Icao: LIMC) located in the northwest area of Italy. The airport is used by over 100 airlines (passenger and cargo) that fly to Milan from all over the world, so this scenery is a “must have†for every simmer!
In the scenery you'll find almost all airport buldings exsisting at the real airport, hundred of custom made detailed objects, static and animated vehicles and a photoreal airport background with night lighting and hard winter textures. Each scenery part and object (frame-rate friendly thanks to the hi-performance design) has day and night photoreal textures and everything is placed in the right position which has been seen on autumn 2020 at the real airport.English extendet handbook is included and AES support is working too. Dear Friends simmer, as always taking advantage of the beautiful objects bgl Gianluca Giovannini, I tried to improve with a symmetric pairing of autogen trees / towns / industrial buildings and grass in 3-D, the urban area near the Intercontinental Airport in Rome Fiumicino in the amazing scenery by the ISD project. "With the current integration I have created the town of Fiumicino located on the south west of the airport.The scenery is based videos of real landing and satellite photos availables on the web.
The purpose of visualization tasks is an overall improvement of the work of Leonardo da Vinci airport . The scenery is designed only for ISD project (even better with UTE by Flight one software), but i dont exclude that (which you should remove the file from the folder scenery the bgl Groups houses) or the more recent Payware published by Aerosoft. This is a new repaint for an old freeware Aero Commander Shrike - the work of the Milton Shupe Commander Team. I think Paul Sounders is listed as the developer, but several team members contributed lots and lots of hours. This was a native FS2004 model that someone ported over to FSX. The interior evidently did not get the same attention that the flight model and panel received. I asked Tom Tiedman, a fellow flight simmer, to update the interior for my personal taste and he did a great job in a matter of a few hours. You will notice the improvements when compared to the other texture files. You will need the FSX version of the Aero Commander Shrike that is not that easy to find but keep searching. The file I downloaded is ac500sv.zip (freeware). This is nothing fancy at all, just another repaint but a greatly improved interior. Thanks to TomT and I hope you enjoy the repaint.

| Arik Air Airbus A340-542 (CS-TFW) |

I am very proud to present this, the latest (and very much anticipated) aircraft to join the Arik Air fleet, an Airbus A340-542, registration CS-TFW named "Our Lady of Perpetual Help" repainted in great detail in the outstanding Overland/Simmer Sky model. This aircraft was delivered on December 1st, 2008 to Arik Air and will be flown under their logo by HiFly (a charter airline based in Lisbon, Portugal). This is the first of 3 A345's for Arik Air which will be used on international long-haul routes to London, New York and Houston.
As you already may know if you have downloaded my other Arik Air repaints, Arik Air is a wholly owned Nigerian airline incorporated in 2004 with a commitment to deliver new standards of aviation quality in Nigeria. This aircraft represents a big step in that direction. Arik Air is based in Lagos, Nigeria. All repainted textures in this package are 32-bit with no mipmaps. This is a textures only package; you must own the Overland/Simmer's Sky Airbus A340-500.
