FSX Scenery - Livermore Municipal Airport (IATA: LVK, ICAO: KLVK) is in Livermore, California, USA, east of San Francisco Bay. The airport is three miles northwest of the downtown area. Near the 650-acre airport are the Water Reclamation Plant and the Las Positas Golf Course. There are two parallel asphalt runways. The main lighted runway is 5,250 ft long and the second runway, unlighted, built in 1985, is 2,700 ft long is used mainly for training. Besides the 2,400 sq ft Terminal building, built in 1969, there are nearly 400 aircraft storage hangar units as well as a corporate-style hangar building containing 20,000 sq ft of space along with an aircraft storage shelter. SanFran 2006 is a complete upgrade of the San Francisco scenery region, and includes AI modifications to the Unicom and tower controlled airports, a significant upgrade of San Jose International airport, a version of Oakland International airport that has been split into two separate components, hundreds of trees at virtually all of the airports and airfields, five extra real airfields (including a fully operational, tower controlled version of Hamilton AFB), a new version of Byron Municipal airport, six Unicom airports upgraded to tower control (Byron Municipal, Davis Woodland Winters, Half Moon Bay, Nut Tree, Rio Vista, and University), an animated objects package, and lots of interesting objects scattered throughout the region (marinas, parks, ports, bridges, oil terminals, electricity pylons, electrical substations, water towers, radio masts, fire lookout towers, lighthouses, and wind turbines).

"Emerald Lake" (YEWA), Queensland, Australia.
Emerald Lake is the international headquarters and home base for EastWest Airlines VA and is situated 18 kilometres from Emerald. Emerald Lake is nestled on the foreshores of Lake Maraboon, Queensland's second largest lake. It is 265 km west of Rockhampton and 900km from Brisbane. The lake is a massive 15000 hectares surface area.
Emerald Lake consists of two ILS runways 13000’ & 6000’ a space-age international and domestic terminal cluster using 8 Skyways, super sized hangars to accommodate future super jets, a flying club, cargo division, RFDS Base and a fully manned tower, a water runway and amphibian base.
There is a resort, a marina, residential area (under construction) on the shores of the lake adjacent to the airport and connected by a road network.

File Description:
Here is an improved version of the stock Simmons AAF. I adjusted and added aprons, roads and
taxiways to more closely match real life. I added many Military_combat parking spaces. I replaced
most buildings and added additional buildings. I added parking lots and static vehicles, lightpoles,
and other filler objects and adjusted the boundary fence to clear UTX water features.
This base is intended for use with the MAIW Simmons AAF AI package. The MAIW packages work well in FSX,
but the included scenery files are FS9 files and give poor results in FSX. The MAIW scenery files should
be removed before using these files. Of course, these files can be used without the AI but the base looks
so much better filled with Chinooks and Apaches, and they actually fly like helicopters.

File Description:
This is a fish farm, at the southern end of Baranof Island and Chatham Strait in southern Alaska. It is named on the chart of the area, and there is a section of the chart included here. This scenery is designed specifically for use in the Tongass Fjord scenery. The fish farm (or hatchery, the description varies) has an identifying code so it will show up on a gps as PAG. There is no interaction with atc as there are no designated water runways, so PAG on the gps just acts as a waypoint. I may have incorrectly identified Tongass Fjords as being required for Hawk Logging when Glacier Bay is needed. Ah well, it is one or the other of them. I still find these scenery areas by Holger and his crew the most satisfying in FS9.
