| Military Helicopter field Parow |

File Description:
The airfield Parow is the one field of a row of military airfield sceneries, in particular of the helicopter places of the former NVA. In the scenery are included the airfield and the technical supplies.
The airfield was put into operation in 1960. He accommodated the 18th Naval Helicopter Squadron with 3 wings . Helicopters of the type Mi-4, MI-8S, MI-8T, MI-8TB and MI-14 were in duty till 1990.

File Description:
In 1945 the airfield was occupied by the Red Army and afterwards used by the 16th Air Army. During the early 1950 s the airfield was expanded under utilisation of the existing infrastructure. By building a 2500m long concrete runway, the necessary conditions to allow the deployment of the IL-28 and Jak-28 bomber squadrons, were created.
Since 1971 the airfield was further expanded, amongst other things special arms depots of the type Granit 2 were built. Simultaneously the reconnaissance aircraft MiG-25 was based in Werneuchen.
In 1991 the airfield was left by the GSSD and afterwards in civil use. Today there are a concrete plant and a solar park in the northern part. The runway was shortened to 1500m.
This scenery shows the airfield situation in a period some when between 2012 and 2013.

The airfield was put into operation in 1958 in duty of the NVA (National People's Army). It accommodated the FAG-15 with Mig-21U aircraft.

Repaint for Alphasim's excellent RF-4F Phantom II, now released as freeware, depicting '35+63' of Aufklaerungsgeschwader (Recce wing) 51 "Immelmann" in its early "Norm 72" camo scheme. Special livery as worn during Tactical Air Meet 1980, held at Zweibruecken AB. This repaint was done utilizing the paint kit by Mark Harper and stencils and maintenance marks templates by Volker Prauss. Some users reported on scenery textures going blurried occasionally when using my previous repaint of 35+62. They may get caused by the stock texture file "BLANKS.BMP" (originally coded in DXT1) which holds the texture of the elevator's outer edge. I've changed this file to DXT3, so copying this specific file into the 'problematic' other texture folders may help getting rid of those blurries!

File Description:
Le Bourget airport north of Paris is one of the world's oldest airports.
It dates back to the early days of World War One,
when land was seized for a military airfield.
The airport opened for commercial operations in 1919.
Possibly the most significant historical event was
Charles Lindbergh's landing there after his historic
solo transatlantic flight on Mai 21st, 1927.
We have produced this scenery to provide taxiways and details
as they were around 1960 in Paris le Bourget
We've also included new parking to allow the AI aircraft to taxi
correctly at the new (old!) airport.
New in version 2 : Upgraded terminal textures by Rui Cristina
and new custom made hangars.

The airfield was put into operation in 1961 in duty of the NVA. He accommodated the 9th fighter wing with Mig-21 and MiG-23. It is located along the Baltic Sea north of Peenemünde, Germany.
