| Air Viking Vanguard 952 TF-AVA |

File Description:
The ex Air Canada Vanguards acquired by Air Holdings were flown by many airlines in the early days. Many of them were only for a short time as startup airlines took them on with high hopes only to fail or change direction. Air Viking was one of two Icelandic airlines leasing Vanguards in 1970-71. Operating this single Vanguard from a base in Keflavik it flew to many destinations even flying as far as the Canary Islands. Delivered in June 1970 it was repossessed by Air Holding when the airline failed in December of that year. This particular machine came of note when, as CF-TKD it flew the first TCA Westbound flight on 01 February 1961 and again when flying for Invicta as G-AXOY it made the last ever UK passenger Vanguard flight flying a Luton-Luton charter on 26 October 1975. Sold to EAS as F-BXOH it did not enter service but was stored as a spares source at Perpignan. Requires the FSDS Vanguard model by Rick Piper.

To CAC Fishermans Bend for major repair 28/09/55. At some stage modified to Mk.31. To 1 AD 15/01/57. To 78 Wing 19/11/58. To 2 (F)OCU 12/01/59. To 1 AD 18/08/60 for E Servicing. To 81 Wing 06/04/61. To 1 AD 24/05/62 for Mods and back to 81 Wing. Part of the Black Panthers Aerobatic Team 1961-65 (76 Sqn). To 3 AD 18/12/63 for E Servicing. To ARDU 30/06/64 for vibration tests. To 81 Wing 10/64. To 3 AD 11/11/66 to be held pending inspection. According to RAAF status card it was due to be converted to componants 20/12/66. However it survived and was displayed at the Mildura Warbirds Museum, Vic.

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Shockwave World War II Fighters P-51D Mustang. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by John Terrell. It is for FSX only, as it contains 2048 x 2048 textures. For FS9, look for my earlier "Sierra Sue II" repaint, which contains a low res version of this repaint.
This aircract represents a J-26 of the Royal Swedish Air Force. A/C 26152 was previously 44-63675 E6-D "Sierra Sue II" of the 402nd FS, USAAF, flown by Lt. Bob Bohna. She was sold to Sweden after the war and flew with with 3rd squadron of the F4 wing, based on the island of Froson, with Cpl Sten Soderquist as her regular pilot. In 1954, she was sold to Nicaragua were she flew with registration GN91. She came to the US in 1970 and is currently owned by Roger Christgau, who flies her as "Sierra Sue II / Gul Kalle". Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by John Terrell.

c/n 10144. Ordered new by Ansett-ANA for Airlines of N.S.W. and delivered 20 February 1960. Sold to Comair in November 1976. Leased to Royal Swazi Air and Air Lesotho between November 1981 and October 1985. Withdrawn from service on 30 June 1993 and broken up in 1998 after being used as a cabin crew trainer. c/n 10264. Ordered new by Ansett-ANA and delivered 9 December 1964. Sold to Comair 26 November 1980 and registered as ZS-KVJ. Withdrawn from service 30 October 1997 and used by Johannesburg Airport fire services. Broken up in December 2001. c/n 10227.Delivered new to All Nipon Airways on 31 May 1963. Also used by Air Polynesie, Touraine Air Transport and British Midland December 1983. Purchased by Comair and registered as ZS-LMZ. Sold to Amazone Linhas Aereas 21 May 1999. This AFCAD of the airport Wien Meml - Kotzebue (PAOT), Alaska, fixes some issues for Scenery Solution's UTX Alaska users who want to use mesh and texture resolutions better than 38 m and 1 m, respectively. Unfortunately this discloses some additional problems with lagoons surrounding runway 09/27. Some of the ponds had been elevated over apron level, the fence Microsoft had drawn around the airport ran through (elevated) water and so on. Runway 27 has no direct connection to the mainland like it is realized by UTX and furthermore a lot of water polygons (including the lagoons) had 'forgotten' shore line vectors. Included corrections are: fixed main waterpolygons around the airport (according to Google Maps), fixed airport layout, including aprons, GA parking, additional airport buildings (default FSX objects), fixed Runway designators (now 09/27 resp. 18/36 instead of 08/26 and 17/37, Nov. 2013), added shoreline vectors (compatible to UTX textures) and some more.
Again, THIS AFCAD IS INTENDED FOR USERS OF UTX ALASKA ONLY and will likely look horrible in other environments as it partially amends missing features only.

| Union Island TVSU in the Grenadines |

File Description:
Union Island is in the southern tail of the chain of islands known as St Vincent and the Grenadines, between Canouan and Carriacou. Union is another small island, 3.5 miles long and at its widest 1.5 miles wide; the resident population is around 3,000, mostly in the two towns Clifton and Ashton.
The airport is at the eastern end of the island, and has been extended into the sea on landfill. The runway is now around 2,480 feet long, aligned 08 (and with the southeast trade winds it is unlikely that you will find yourself using 26) and with a displaced threshold of 530 feet due to the hill to the west. The terminal is adjacent to a rather small apron; there is parking on the grass north of the taxiway. There are connecting flights by SVG to Barbados and the other islands and these are reflected in the AI. The airport has no lighting, and flights are obliged to land and depart in daylight hours only, outside of which the airport is closed.

Gang Ranch is on the eastern side of the Coast Mountains of British Columbia, around 50 miles west of Green Lake and 5 miles west of the Fraser River that runs north-south at that latitude (51 degrees 30 minutes north, in round figures). The airfield is among some farm fields and difficult to spot (this will depend on your personal textures and settings) and the ranch buildings are scattered and a mile or two away, the nearest being the owner's house. The runway is gravel, only 1,800 feet long and aligned 08-26 at 2,150 feet above sea level. There is no lighting. I have posted it as Gang Ranch CAY2, but I suggest that you just add it to your previously created "BC airfields" (if you did that) and avoid the inevitable doubling up of common textures etc. Plus that way you will have just one FS9 library post to do and new airfields will not need yet another posting.
