File Description: The main airport of Oran was recently renamed Oran Ahmed Ben Bella International in honor of the nation's founding president. The airport recently underwent EUR 20 million renovations which added the new 07R/25L runway and extended and renamed the existing 07L/25R runway as well as taxiway construction. Renovations were also done to the main parking apron and terminal building. This airport serves as a hub for Air Algeria and Aigle Azur with service to points in Africa, the Middle East and Europe. Several other airlines serve the airport with Air France beginning service from Paris in the Summer of 2013. The city of Oran (population approx. 759,645) is the second largest city in Algeria and an important industrial, educational and cultural center in Alegria. Boeing 737-800 Starter Package v1.0.0

File Description:
This is an upgrade package for the default Boeing 737-800. I compiled this package with new simmers in mind. This package has an advanced virtual cockpit that includes switches for LCD, EICAS, PFD, MFT, autobrake, pilot windows, cabin lights and GPWS. It also includes working windshield wipers with rain effects, upgraded virtual cockpit textures, a realistic Flight Management Computer and custom GPWS and cabin announcement sounds. I've included 11 high-quality liveries for Air Berlin, Air France, AirTran Airways, American Airlines, British Airways, Delta Airlines, Lufthansa, Pan American World Airways, Quantas, United Airlines and US Airways. I'll add more in future releases. I haven't asked permission from any of the original developers of these add-ons to include their work in this package. If I've used your work and you're upset about it, please reach out to me and I'll take care of it promptly. This package uses Advanced 737-800 VC by Alejandro Rojas Lucena, Upgraded 737-800 VC Textures by Enrique Cornejo, Honeywell FMC by Garrett Smith, Boeing Callouts by Jimmy Foong and EDO Sounds by Edoardo Ammannati. I collected the liveries from multiple different packages. I'm not sure who the original authors are. If you're the author of one of these liveries, let me know so that I can give you credit. All of the copyrights for these add-ons belong to their rightful developer(s). I've just compiled the best that I could find.

TUI Airlines Belgium Winter 04-05 (version 2)

File Description:
FS2002/2004 "TUI Airlines Belgium" representative charter flight plans for the winter 2004-2005 period, which have been compiled according to the company information for the week 07 Mar 2005 - 13 Mar 2005. This version is an UPDATE of my previous release due to the arrival of their own Boeing 767-300ER. TUI Airlines Belgium (TUB) is a charter airline based in Belgium, flying with three 737-400, two 737-800W, and one 767-300ER from its main base Brussels-National as well as from regional airports of Liège and Oostende. As for all charter company, flights differs from one week to one another but this file comprises its main destinations regularly visited throughout the winter period. The TUB winter season flights comprises both medium- and long-haul destinations from Brussels, Liège and Oostende-Brugge to Agadir, Alicante, Almeria, Cancun, Djerba, Faro, Fuerteventura, Hurghada, Lanzarote, Las Palmas, Luxor, Malagà, Marrakech, Monastir, Montego Bay, Pafos, Palma de Mallorca, Puerto Plata, Punta Cana, Santa Cruz (La Palma), Sharm el Sheikh, and Tenerife-Sur, and Varadero. As from spring 2005, TUB will launch scheduled services to Agadir, Cairo, Marrakech, Tanger, Toulon, as well as new charter flights to Ajaccio, Bastia, Marsa Alam, Funchal, plus many other charter destinations to Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Spain, Tunisia and Turkey. B-24 USAAF 489th BG "Sharon D"

File Description:
This Ford-built B-24H was assigned to Lt Col Leon Vance, deputy commander of the 489th BG. It was Vance who had brought the aircraft from the US to Halesworth. The bomber was named after its pilot’s infant daughter Sharon, who had been born in 1942. Lt Col Vance was flying a different aircraft on the 5 June 1944 mission against a German coastal defence complex near Wimereaux, France-a mission in which the latter aircraft was lost, and for which Vance was awarded the Medal of Honor. He was the only B-24 crew member in the Eighth Air Force accorded this distinction whilst flying a mission from the UK. Vance was heading home to recover from combat wounds when he went down on a C-54 Skymaster carrying wounded and crippled veterans over the North Atlantic on 26 July 1944. In October 1946, at the age of four, Sharon Vance travelled via US Army Air Forces transport to Enid, Oklahoma (now home of Vance Air Force Base), for a ceremony in which Maj Gen James P Hodges gave her the Medal of Honor awarded to her father. Today, daughter Sharon Kiernan of San Diego, California, is an Air Force wife, and she helps to keep alive the memory of her father, and of the bomber named after her. The Sharon D retained its nickname throughout the war, and was eventually transferred to the 445th BG. It survived the conflict, and was eventually broken up for scrap. File Description: Royal Air Force Dassault Mirage IVK/S. I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for Marcel Dassault's follow-on to the immensely successful Mirage III family. Built in 1959, this aircraft served for over 40 years in the roles of strategic nuclear deterrence and strategic reconnaisance. An original 7-LOD model pays homage to this aircraft in the flightsim world. This package is a speculative study, if you will, of the might-have-been progression of this aircraft. The RAF expressed interest in the Mirage IV in the 1960s, but re-engined with the Rolls-Royce Spey turbofan which powered their versions of the F-4 Phantom II. Additionally, exploration was made to use technology from the unsuccessful BAC TSR project for the RAF Mirage IV. This package represents two variants, the Mirage IVK, essentially the IVA with RR Spey engines; and the Mirage IVS, the more re-designed aircraft incorporating some of the BAC TSR technology. Ultimately, this proposed variant did not become reality. In addition to the RAF, Israel, India, and France expressed interest, so paints from all four countries are included. Loadouts are generous, covering heavy strategic bombing, electronic warfare, precision strike, and the original nuclear and recce configurations. In total, there are 32 models and 50 repaints in this package. Lastly, I am including layered Photoshop paint kits for all variants in this package. Original aircraft model, flight dynamics, some effects, and textures by Michael Pearson; tremendous amounts of help from Michael MacIntyre and Frank Safranek.

P-47D 334th FS "Miss Plainfield"

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47C 42-7945 flown by Lieutenant Spiros 'the Greek' Pisanos of the 334th FS, 4th FG, Finschhafen, New Guinea, 1944. Born in Athens, Greece, in the suburb of Kolonos, on 10 November 1919, Spiros Nicholas "Steve" Pisanos, the son of a subway motorman, came to America in April 1938, as a crew member on a Greek Merchant ship. Arriving in Baltimore, Maryland and unable to speak English, Steve found his way to New York City, where he worked in bakeries and restaurants. As he earned money he started flying lessons at Floyd Bennett Field. In August 1940, he setled i Plainfield, New Jersey, his adopted home town, and continued flying lessons at Westfield Airport. He earned a private pilot's license and, although still a Greek national, in October 1941 he joined the British Royal Air Force sponsored by the Clayton Knight Committee in New York City. Steve began his military flight training at Polaris Flight Academy in Glendale, California. Upon graduation, Pilot Officer Pisanos was transferred to England where he completed RAF Officers Training School at Cosford, England and OTU (Operational Training Unit) at Old Sarum Aerodrome in Salisbury. Pilot Officer Pisanos was posted to the 268 Fighter Squadron at Snailwell Aerodrome in Newmarket flying P-51A's. He later transferred to the 71 Eagle Squadron, one of the three Eagle squadrons in the RAF, comprised of American volunteers flyin Spitfires at Debden RAF Aerodrome. When the USAAF 4th Fighter Group absorbed the American members of the Eagle Squadrons in September and October 1942, Pilot Officer Pisanos was commissioned a lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Forces. On 3 May 1943, Lt. Pisanos was naturalized as an American citizen in London, England, becoming the first individual in American history to be naturalized outside the Continental United States. Flying his first mission in his P-47 "Miss Plainfield" out of Debden Aerodrome with the 334th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group, Lt. Pisanos, "The Flying Greek," scored his first victory on 21 May 1943, when he downed a German FW-190 over Ghent, Belgium. by 1 January 1944 he had become an ace with five confirmed victories. On 5 March 1944, he obtained his 10th victory and while returning from that B-17 escort mission to Limoges and Bordeaux, France, Steve experienced engine failure in his P-51B and crash-landed south of Le Havre. For six months he evaded the Germans and worked with the French Resistance and the American OSS sabotaging the German war machine in occupied France. Lt. Pisanos returned to England on 2 September 1944, following the liberation of Paris. Upon returning to the United States, Captain Pisanos was assigned to the Flight Test Division at Wright Field, Ohio. He attended the USAF Test Pilot School and subsequently served as a test pilot at Wright Field and Muroc Lake, California, testing the YP-80 jet aircraft. During his career in the USAF, Steve graduated from the University of Maryland, attended the Air Command and Staff College and the Air War College. In December 1973, after a distinguished thirty years of service in the United States Air Force, he retired with the rank of Colonel. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Martin Catney

Chance-Vought F-8 Crusader (Part 4)

File Description: Chance-Vought F-8 Crusader (Part 4). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this classic aircraft of modern military history. This is an original 8-LOD model, with many animations and features thanks to a growing confidence in XML-coding and making FSDS work for me instead of the other way around. Nicknamed "The Last Gunfighter", this aircraft was the last production aircraft for the US Navy and Marine Corps which used guns as primary armament, and was in service at the twilight of this age, as well as the dawn of the missile age. Like all combat-experience aircraft, it had a relatively short life during its operational use (only about twenty years or so as a fighter), but was used a little longer as a recce aircraft; and beyond that in export service to France and the Philippines. The Crusader was used extensively in combat operations in Vietnam, played a crucial role in the Cuban Missile Crisis, and gave the newer F-4 Phantoms a fair run for their money in terms of air combat capability during this time. It is interesting to note that the 'elderly' F-8 Crusader had a better kill overall ratio in air combat in Vietnam than its F-4 successor. This is the fourth and final part of this model series, covering the export French F-8E(FN) and Philippine F-8P base models; with a total of 20 model options and 77 paints. Additionally, with this release I am including a universal PSD paint kit which will serve all variants. Base model and paint by Michael Pearson, flight dynamics by Michael McIntyre.

P-51D G-SIJJ "Jumpin'Jacques"

File Description:
"Jumpin Jacques" is a P-51D-20-NA model, built at North American’s Inglewood facility in California. Accepted by the USAAF on December 21 1944 as 44-72035, she was assigned to the 332nd fighter group in the Mediterranean Theatre of operations. The 332nd became very famous as the first all Afro American manned Group known as "The Tuskegee Airmen" although references to them at the time refer to them as "The Red Tails". She entered combat with the 15th Air force around March 1945 serving out the last few months of the war on escort and ground attack sweeps over Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia. She still carries the battle scars to this day, with bullet repairs in several places on the fuselage. After the war, she was repatriated to the US and served with several ANG units. She was released from active duty in 1953 and in 1956 sold to Whitman Enterprises, CA, who registered her as N5411V. She remained in the Us until 1981, when she was sold to Colombia. In 1989, she was bought by Jacques Bourret of Aero Retro, based in St.Rambert, France, with the registration F-AZMU. When looking for a colour scheme for the P-5, Jacques came upon the photo of a Mustang named "Jumpin’ Jacques" and could not resist adopting this as the new scheme. The original "Jumpin’ Jacques" was flown by Lt Jacques E Young of the 3rd Fighter Squadron, 3rd Air Commando Group, a unit that operated out of the Philippines. At present, she is with the Hangar11 group of North Weald, UK, flying with the registration G-SIJJ. She has been repainted completely in early 2007, and it is this paintscheme that is depicted with this repaint. LFMQ - Le Castellet

File Description:
Welcome to Le Castellet Airfield - This airfield is situated few Nm east of Marseille Provence - LFML, in the south of France. On the 1,000 hectares of plateau he acquired between Marseille and Toulon, Paul Ricard, forever motivated by innovation and development, constructed in 1962 the largest private airfield in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.

The landing strip at Le Castellet covered a distance of 1,000 metres and allowed for VFR (Visual Flight Rules) operation. Situated on a plateau at the time free of all economic development, it was above all a private airfield. In 1970, the construction of the Paul Ricard Circuit nearby created an economic dynamic for the first time on Le Castellet plateau. In 1972, Paul Ricard invested in improvements to the runway, lengthening it from 1,000 to 1,750 metres, thus rendering it capable of receiving business and private airplanes of up to 38 tonnes.
Over twenty years, Le Castellet Airport saw intense periods of activity due to business and private aviation, notably with the arrival of the first F1 French Grand Prix on the Paul Ricard Circuit in 1971, and more recently, with the creation of the Entreprise Zone at Signes, situated only a few kilometres from the airfield. Stop by for an amazing visit at the medieval village as well, situatued on top of a hill.
Nevertheless, from 1972 to 1999, no investment was made at the airfield. In May 1999, the company Excelis S.A. purchased the site (airfield and circuit) and refurbished and modernised the installations.
A truly amazing place to fly to - I have enhanced the entire apron as it is today, all marking correctly set, acces to runway and the Heli area for the "Eggbeater" fan :) includes the hangar, building and other things around. Hope you'll enjoy your stay at "Le castellet"!

Airstrips of North-West Europe

File Description: The sales blurb for FS2004 announced the inclusion of over 23,000 airfields ... unfortunately a significant number of those consisted of little or nothing more than a runway on a flatten with a rectangular background polygon. To enable the addition of an amount of lightweight GA AI traffic, without overloading those airfields that were designed with parking spaces and taxi-ways, (and are probably already busy), I herewith include over 140 small sceneries, of mostly default airfields, from NW France, up the English Channel and the North Sea coast through Belgium, the Netherlands and NW Germany to Denmark, all with added taxiways and parking spots, aprons, generic buildings and background polygons as appropriate, to enable AI traffic to be generated without interrupting things at the more major airports. A few of the French airfields are "new", not included originally with FS2004, and a couple have been updated to suit more recent developments :- for example, LFES "Scaer Guiscriff" is now LFES "Bretagne Atlantique", LFOR "Chartres Champhol" is now LFOR "Chartres Metropole", EHSE "Seppe" is now EHSE "Breda International" and EKVH "Vesthimmerlands" was previously EKVH "Aars". There's no photo-realism here, just a selection of basic 'generic' buildings, more or less accurately sized and placed to reflect the airfield layout as seen on on-line satellite imagery and aerial photography. These buildings have minimal effect on frame-rates, so are ideal for this kind of job. The airfields are aligned as well as possible with the roads etc. in UT Europe and the Genesis Europe mesh, but should mostly be fine in a default installation or other configuration.
