This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of C-47 43-15661 of the 81st TCS, 12th Air Force Troop Carrier Wing, as it looked during the invasion of southern France, 15 August 1944. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom for Manfred Jahn's C-47 version 3.14, based on the paintkit by Gman5250.

Daallo Airlines has entered into a strategic partnership with Istithmar World Aviation Holdings, an investment arm of Dubai World, and the Government of Djibouti in November 2007 to enhance and promote air transportation services in Africa. Daallo serves destinations in Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, France and UK. Flightplans effective 1st October 2007 to 31th March 2008. Tested with TTools, bgl-file included.

London Ashford or Lydd as it's also knows is a small airfield in the south of England. The airport at this point in time is private traffic only and is perfect for flying into from France due to the airport being located outside the London TCZ.
This scenery uses a few new design tricks to make the scenery "pop" and look that much better.

From 1950 to 1967 the USAF set up and maintained bases in France, with the agreement of the French government, as part of its commitment to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. Chaumont AB was one of the ten main air bases which supported both attack and air defence capabilities. Many people do not appreciate the sheer extent of the USAF bases in France at this time and the reasons leading to the USAF departure in 1967. There is a link to a fine article on all this included.
This scenery and traffic represent Chaoumont Air Base during the years 1955 to 1962. Custom Tower and Hangars by Dan French along with a large number of custom paints by DeltataDart for the many types of aircraft represented over this period. Traffic files and the aircraft and paints needed are provided for 1955 (including the Skyblazer Demonstration Team), 1957, 1959 and 1962.

This folder contains a repaint for the Aerosoft PBY Catalina for FSX. It is shown here as C-FCRR, with Air France colors. Built by Boeing of Canada at Vancouver, it became RCAF Canso 9767 on March 4, 1943, and was allocated to Squadron 162, coded S, at Reykjavik, Iceland. In 1944, piloted by Flying Officers Thomas Charles Cooke and Eric Walter Wiskin, 9767 sank the German U-boat U-342 off the coast of Iceland on April 17. The amphibian was removed from the military service on April 1, 1946. The same year it was sold to Canadian Pacific Airlines, registered CF-CRR and assigned fleet number 233 (later 933), it was operated until 1959, thereafter by Northland Airlines (1960-1968), Midwest Airlines (1969-1970), and Ilford Riverton until 1973. The registration was changed to C-FCRR when Avalon Aviation acquired it as a water bomber in 1977, listed as Tanker number 791.
In 1995 the aircraft was bought by Powell Eorp. Of Parry Sound, Ontario, subsequently it was owned by the Canadian Air Legend. The French pilot Franklin Devaux bought C-FCRR in 1995 and converted it to a flying television studio, it was based at Le Bourget, Paris, France. During 1996 C-FCRR was the star of monthly French television programme Operation Okavango, while in September 1998 it was the eye catcher of the three-week Champs-Elysees (Paris) static air show. The following October the aircraft started an 8,078 mls (13,000 km) trip to Chile via Dakar (Senegal) and Natal (Brazil) to commemorate early Air France South Atlantic mail service, returning to France in June 1999. On January 19, 2002 the aircraft was stored at Orly Airport, Paris, and has not flown since. Its Canadian registration was cancelled on October 7, 2005. This folder contains a repaint for the A2A North American T-6 Texan/Harvard in the colors of North American T-6G F-BJBF, 1970. Originally built as 41-33931 (c/n 88-14948), it went to the RAF as EX959. It was used by the 20 Service Flying Training School in Rhodesia from January 1943 onwards. After the war, it was transported back to the UK, where it was sold to the Belgian Air Force, where it became H-9. It flew from Brustem until 1959. The Belgian Air Force then sold it to Air France, with 14 other Harvards, for use at its flight school in Pontoise Cormeilles en Vexin, west of Paris. It flew with Air France until 1965, when it was sold to Mr Urbain of Cannes, who flew it in bare metal with a checkered rudder until 1971. This is the paintscheme depicted here. It then went to the UK, becoming G-AZJD. It remained based at Biggin Hill until 1984, when it went back to France as F-AZDU, being bought by Guy Robert, a former Mirage pilot who recieved his training in the '50's on a Harvard in Marocco. In 2001 it was sold to John Colors SL in Barcelona, but it retained its French registration of F-AZDU. It is still airworthy, based at Sabadell in Spain. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.
