| PIA - Pakistan International Airlines (aircraft repaints included) - winter 2008-09 with Hajj flights |
|
File Description:
Flightplans and AI repaints of PIA ATRs, B747s and part of the B737 fleet. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is operating a fleet of ATR 42s, Airbus A310s and various Boeing aircraft on mainly domestic flights and flights to destinations in the Middle East and Asia. They also have some long distance flights to the USA, Canada, Great Britain and various destinations in Europe. The EU restrictions have been lifted again so in these flight plans the A310s are back on flights to European destinations. The flight plans are based on information from PIA's own website for the week 5th to 12th of January. At this time - apart from their regular schedule - PIA was also operating Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca) flights to Saudi Arabia which are included in the flight plans. Repaints of the whole ATR and 747 fleet are included as well as missing repaints of the 737 fleet. File for use with MRAI installer included.

| Boeing B-17G 91st BG (LL-E) "Shoo shoo shoo baby" |

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G in the colors B-17G-35-BO 42-32076, which rolled off Boeing's production line in Seattle in march 1944. This was around the transition from camouflaged to bare metal aircraft, which led to the odd situation that the datablock was stencilled onto a OD panel, while the rest of the aircraft was left bare metal. This was because the datablock was sprayed on right at the beginning of production. The aircraft was assigned to the 401st BS of the 91st BG, and was collected at the depot in Burtonwood by Paul McDuffee, who was so impressed with its smooth handling that he asked to be assigned to it. The aircraft was named by its crew chief, Hank Cordes, and was named after a popular song by the Andrews Sisters. Originally, the name was 'Shoo shoo baby', applied in gothic letters, which was later replaced by a Vargas girl and an additional 'shoo', painted by Cpl. Tony Starcer. McDuffee flew 13 missions with 076, before completing his tour of duty. On completion of his last flight, he buzzed the airfield and flew so low that fencing wire became entangled in the tail wheel. On the plane's 23rd mission, on 29 may 1944, Lt. Robert Guenther was flying 076 on a raid to Poznan when he suffered engine failure on one engine, and a while later, flak knocked out a second engine. 'Shoo shoo shoo baby' started to fall behind, and when a third engine started to falter, Lt Guenther decided to turn to neutral Sweden, with the crew jettisoning all loose equipment. A group of FW190's closed in, but did not open fire, peeling away. By the time 076 reached Bulltofta airfield near Malmö, it had only one engine left, but it did manage to perform a safe landing. The crew were interned, and the aircraft was impounded. The crew returned to the UK in October 1944, and 'Shoo shoo shoo baby' would later tour the world...

| Mumbai (VABB) with Active Crosswind Runways (v3) |
|
File Description:
A high quality AFCAD2 for Chhatrapati Shivaji Int'l Airport, Mumbai, India. This AFCAD file is for the default FS2004 airport and has been built from scratch. The airport has concrete taxiways, remodelled aprons and full night lighting, including approach lights on all runways. All gates and cargo ramps have airline assignments. Using the crosswing runway technique, both runways can be used at the same time for take-offs and landings. Runway 14 features a holding area/turning loop, making aircraft turn arounds easier on that runway. The domestic terminal features 35 aircraft stands, the international terminal has 24 stands (18 for 747 sized aircraft) and the cargo ramp has 9 stands (all capable of holding cargo 747s). If you have lots of traffic flowing through Mumbai, this file will bring your airport to life. New in this release, Taxiways updated slightly to avoid AI jams, and now aircraft landing on runway 14 will no longer halt eastbound takeoff operations by taxying along runway 09 to get to the terminal. Thanks to Jerel Hayes for the heads up. Enjoy!!

| SLM Mc Donnell Douglas Super 80 'Dirty' Scheme |
|
File Description:
Highly detailed and dirty photoreal repaint of CoolSky's Super 80 in Surinam Airways' livery. SLM a small time operator from Surinam, is what you may call a Mc Donnel Douglas operator. Not that they have heaps of these planes, but the ones they do own/have owned are from this once renowned manufacturer. Back in '89 one of their Super 62's crashed while executing an illegal ILS at SMJP killing all, but 11 and if I'm correct -at present time- they only operate a MD-82 on their South American en Miami routes and a 747-206SUD for the Long Hauler to Amsterdam. There's rumors for the aquisition of a second MD-82, but that rumor has been buzzin' around for quite some years now. These are textures only and are intended for use on the Flight1/CoolSky Super 80. This texture must be processed using Flight1's "Text-o-Matic" utility in order to create a new aircraft with this livery on it. I hope you enjoy it...
