Kick the tires and light the fires and fly with 3 RCAF Sabre Squadrons as they cross the North Atlantic ferrying aircraft to Zweibrucken Germany from Ottawa Canada. Choose whether you fly in formation, hands-off or in an individual flight. Custom aircraft paints, sceneries, and detailed instructions are provided as well as historical background and photos for this historical 1953 event. This project, for FS2004, has been in the works for 2 years and represents a team effort from Flight Ontario. | TACAN Replacements, Waypoints & Routes - UK Modern |

File Description:
By default, all of the TACAN navigational aids present within FSX have the bearing component turned off, so as to properly represent the real world result of tuning in the DME component of a TACAN with a civilian plane. However, this limits their functionality when you wish to use them in conjunction with a plane (generally military) equipped with a representation of a functioning TACAN system.
This download contains replacements for all of the currently active TACAN ground stations present in the UK, along with custom TACAN route waypoints as well as UK MIL AIP documentation and maps. These allows the user to fly the TACAN routes as per real world operations, as well as use TACAN approach charts.

This modified version installs new taxiway lights and windsocks, and updates the AI. This is a complete version and does not require you to have installed the original. Salluit is a village of 1,250 or so inhabitants at N 62 W 75 40 on the shore of Sugluk Inlet, which is in northern Quebec off the Hudson Strait. It's name means "Skinny Ones" in Inuit, and refers to a time when there was not enough to eat, which is a rather scary reminder of just how fragile Inuit survival used to be. The airfield runway is 3,510 feet of gravel 100 feet wide aligned 03-21, and is some 740 feet higher than the village on the shoreline.
