Googly scenery for WAML Palu/Mutiara, Indonesia. In Flight Simulator 2004 little
is provided other than a runway at this small domestic airport, although in the
real world it sees regular jet flights from airlines such as Batavia Air, Bouraq
Indonesia Airlines, Garuda Citylink, Lion Airlines and Merpati Nusentara and
smaller aircraft from operators like Airfast Service and Indonesia Air Transport.
These scenery files add aprons, taxiways, buildings and other airport features
to Flight Simulator's limited representation and allow "AI" traffic to land,
taxi, park and take off in a realistic manner.
The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on high-detail satellite
imagery from Google Earth, the layout is proportionally correct but the added
airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects
and add-on libraries so will not look exactly like the real thing.
You are not obliged to download and install any additional scenery libraries,
but to enjoy this scenery in its entirety, you may wish to. It will work fine,
with or without.

| Alaska Bush Scenery: Stony River Bend & Old Stony |

File Description:
Here's your big chance to take-off and land using a curved airstrip. Stony River Bend is located just west of Merrill Pass, very close to Tom Fica's cabin at Two Lakes (part of his 'Merrill Pass' scenery add-on). The bumpy dirt runway - becoming slightly overgrown and prone to waterlogging - is marked out with wooden posts (lit at night) and presents a unique challenge: one that I haven't really sorted out just yet! There's a small settlement just up a log-lined trail from the airfield with a gravel service track connecting with a basic NDB/DME facility to help out with night or low visibility approaches. Although Stony River Bend is fictional, it has been based loosely on a real life runway at Elk City in Idaho. Three miles downstream is another simple backwoods strip called Old Stony - the narrow gravel runway here is conventional, but it's probably in an even worse state of repair. Designed for use with Eddie Denney's FS2002 mesh of Alaska, but the scenery is usable without it.

Googly scenery for OPDB Dalbandin, Pakistan - a quiet domestic airport for
which no operational facilities are provided in Flight Simulator 2004. These
scenery files add/correct the runways, apron, taxiways, buildings and other
airport features so that you and your "AI" traffic can land, taxi, park
and take off in a realistic manner.
The airport appears to be served all of once per week by ATRs of Pakistan
International Airways so will hardly buzz with activity, but you will be
assured of a friendly welcome when you arrive.
The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on high-detail satellite
imagery from Google Earth, the layout is proportionally correct but the added
airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects
and add-on libraries so will not look like the real thing.

Googlyafcad A&F Data file for Depati Amir, based on Google Earth satellite data. It is a domestic airport located on the east coast of the island on Bangka serving the serving the largest town on the island, Pangkal Pinang, which is also the capital of the province
Bangka-Belitung.
The facilities in Flight Simulator 2004 only allow for general aviation traffic, but the
airport is regularly served by Boeing jets of Adam Air, Batavia Air and Sriwijaya Air as
well as smaller prop-driven craft of airlines like Merpati Nusentara. These files will
allow you and your "AI" traffic to land, taxi, park and take off in a realistic manner.
Like many airports in Indonesia, the ICAO code has changed in recent years. Microsoft
Flight Simulator 2004 uses the old code (WIKK) but this changed first to WIPK (in error)
and now WIDK. These files allow you to continue using the old code or change to the new

Googly scenery for VAAH Ahmedabad International, India - an enhancement to the airport provided in Flight Simulator 2004 which is incorrect in many respects. These scenery files correct and improve the terminal location, apron, taxiways, buildings and other airport features so that you and your "AI" traffic can land, taxi, park and take off in a realistic manner.
The airport is served by aircraft as large as Jumbo Jets from a range of domestic and international Indian airline operators, together with flights from other countries' airlines such as Kuwait Airways and Singapore Airlines.
The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on high-detail satellite imagery from Google Earth, the layout is proportionally correct but the added airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects and add-on libraries so will not look like the real thing.
You are not obliged to download and install any additional scenery libraries, but to enjoy this scenery in its entirety, you may wish to. It will work fine, with or without.

AFCAD2 File for :
Lisbon, Portela Intl Airport, Portugal ( LPPT )
for PPP Scenery of Portugals's LPPT, LPPR and LPFR airports.
Although Runway 17/35 is rarely used, I have decided to open it for Take-off and landing .
Primarily 21 and secundary 35 ( Can't make 3 and 17 work, though I haven't tested it with wind.
Can be found on Avsim as ppp30.zip ( PPP version 3.0 )
All credits to the PPP team for LPPT/LPPR/LPFR sceneries, many many thanks .
( Not to bo used with the default scenery )
You may have to delete Airport.bgl in the scenery file of PPP, otherwise this Afcad file will not work .
For that reason also back-up Afcad files for PPP's LPPR and LPFR included.
Also included Hamburg, Fuhlsbuttel airport, Germany ( EDDH ) for Jan Martin's
jtacof_4.zip ( Jetways & Terminals For ACOF Package Four ) ( can also be used with default scenery )
Primarily Runway 15 and secundary 05 ( again I am not sure if 33 and 23 work , haven't tested
it with wind .
Tested them in my own FS2004, and it works well .

File Description:
Seldovia is a small airfield across the Kachemak Bay from Homer, 15 miles to the south. The runway is gravel and without lighting; the runway edges and the apron edges are marked by cones. The runway in real life is aligned 16-34 and is just over 1,800 feet, increased here to 2,200 feet to accomodate FS9 AI plane capabilities. The video is one of a series that are well worth watching and this one demonstrates the technique of short field landing and take off.
There is AI, with flights between Homer and Seldovia. I should mention here that the I can only make scenery to fit into my version of FS9, and probably your version is not exactly the same. Also, you may not have the planes that I have used for AI. Unfortunately I cannot cater for something I do not have myself. Homer PAHO will follow on from this post. FSX Zip is a useful tool for unpacking Zip files downloaded from FS file libraries without the need for an existing 3rd-party Zip application, but the big handy feature is that it has a tree display of the Zip folder structure giving you a clear view of how the files will unpack and into which location. This folder layout display is also be useful for developers creating Zips to distribute their own work and aids in checking that no files are missing from the archive. It is "FSX aware" and can automatically detect the FSX folder location. Due to this feature it has several handy folder location presets making it quick and easy to install aircraft, scenery and other add-ons which come in Zip files that include folder path information. Many Zip files downloaded from FS libraries have a specific folder structure which the author has included and is required so all files go into their correct locations, and with this utility generally all you will need to do is: 1) Drag and Drop the Zip file onto the "Extract Zip" page, 2) Select the "Extract & Preserve Folder Structure" option, 3) Check the "Extract to Specific FSX Folder" option, 4) Select the preset folder location from the drop-down box and 5) Click the "UnZip" button. It has a small file size when zipped (around 940 KB) and can be freely distributed by freeware/commercial developers to help users install their files. The Create Zip tab also supports Zip Comments for adding any other information such as copyright notices.

File Description:
This program acts as a link between Flight Simulator 2004 and Google Earth, letting to follow a flight in real time, over the satellite images generated by Google Earth. Flights can be saved, and many options are available for fine tuning the performance, as well as the map's style (zoom, tilt, orientation). Works on a single computer running FS2004 and Google Earth all together or, for best experience, can be used on two networked computers running respectively FS2004 (master) and Google Earth (slave). AI and Multiplayer traffic is also displayed in Google Earth, with course prediction and other information. Requires Flight Simulator 2004 and Google Earth. The program running in trial mode works only around Anchorage, Alaska, (PANC / ANC) for a maximum of five minutes per flight session. Version 5.2 has new aircraft icons & labels and improves the compatibility with Windows Vista. A version for FSX is available also.
