File Description:
There are four main northwestern Alaska towns which are serviced by Alaska Airlines, and from which local flights spread out. The northernmost is Barrow. Southwest of Barrow is Kotzebue, then Nome, and the furthest south is Bethel (not yet made). This is the second in a series for local flights from Nome, and it is on the furthermost mainland western point of Alaska, Wales IWK. It is 110 miles northwest of Nome and on the eastern shore of the Bering Strait, with a view of the two Diomede Islands. Wales is a small village with a population of only around 145, strung along the beach on a single road. The airfield is at the northwestern end of the village, with a runway of 4,500 feet of lit gravel aligned 35-17 and an apron at the southern end. There are scheduled flights by the usual Era and Bering Air, both of them originating in Nome and also visiting Shishmaref. The AI includes these flights along with Northern Air Cargo and GA. The runway is just long enough to accomodate a DC6 (as is Shishmaref) and I have revised the AI to include this, along with a revision of the parking at Shishmaref. To the southeast of Wales is Tin City, which was built as a base for the support of radar on the hills between the two. The radar is now automatic and unmanned and the base is unused except for the annual maintenance and fuel supply; I have left the airfield untouched but I have added the hilltop radar and the remains of the cable lift, which was used to get the material for the original station up to the top from the beach below.

File Description:
There are four main northwestern Alaska towns which are serviced by Alaska Airlines, and from which local flights spread out. The northernmost is Barrow. Southwest of Barrow is Kotzebue, then Nome, and the furthest south is Bethel (not yet made). This is the fifth in a series for local flights from Nome, and it is on the coast around 55 miles east of Wales and 55 miles northwest of Nome. There are two other airfields around a large lagoon that is almost totally enclosed from the sea, and Teller is on the easten shore, just 15 miles east of Port Clarence and 5 miles southeast of Brevig Mission, both already posted. Teller has a populaton of around 230, down from the 5,000 or so in the early 1900's after the Bluestone Placer Mine struck gold. Tollef Brevik was a Lutheran missionary who was both a pastor and teacher for the Inuit in the area from 1894 onward, travelling from community to community but based in Teller, where the Teller Mission Church was later renamed the Brevig Mission. The name was later appropriated and used for the curent village of that name; he was surely very well regarded by the local population. Unusually, it is possible to drive from Nome to Teller in summer, on a dirt road. Conversely, the road that shows in FS9 to the north towards Brevig Mission (courtesy of Ultimate Terrain) does not in fact exist except in winter, when it is estabished on the snow by the tyre tracks of users. The airstrip is southeast and 2 miles by road from the main part of the village on the spit, with a gravel runway 02-25 which is 3,500 feet of gravel. The AI is the usual for this area, Bering and ERA with some GA and cargo by Everts.

File Description:
Created as a means to display the potential of a ducted fan rotorcraft powered by multiple electric motors. The system made its launch in 2015, since then advances and improvements have been completed to the airframe and power plant configurations. Delivering an efficient means of lift using smaller and therefore quieter propeller then traditional helicopters. The function of the ducted system serves as a mean of channeling pressure and vectoring thrust. Giving the UV-4 a unique control system and improved maneuverability. The design of a low speed "T-Tail" houses the function of yaw control with multiple rudders located on its vertical stabilizer, and elevators on its horizontal stabilizer. In addition the rear ducted systems may pivot up to less then sixty degrees forward and backwards to deliver the vector thrust where the aircraft needs it to be. The cargo bay may house up to four thousand pounds of deliverable payload. As its max gross take-off weight is designed to reach twelve thousand five hundred pounds. The electrical systems on the aircraft use a network of batteries, generators, and its two electrical motors. Proving five hundred horse power each, totaling an amount of one thousand horse power. An electrical charge then powers the mechanization used to spin the propeller to its desired rate per minute. Perhaps in the near future an additional system can be created to then generate electrical charges created by the spinning propeller of inside the duct back into the aircraft to then power systems or recharge the battery. We forward to providing this aircraft on Microsoft Flight Simulator X, Lockheed-Martin Prepar3d, and X-Plane 10 for download by the end of 2016. Aircraft by Rob Gomez & Kris Pyatt

| Bethel area airfields in southwest Alaska close to the Yukon River |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This presumes you have already installed my post of Bethel PABE. In the Yukon River area of Alaska there are a lot of small villages close together, which is unusual for Alaska. Almost all of them are on the coast or a river bank, and the local economies depend on fishing. Some are larger than others and have a fish processing plant, such as in Emmonak. This is the largest such plant and it exports prepared fish by cargo planes which fly in on a daily basis, using an extended runway. This post includes airfields to the south and west of PABE, 17 of them; some of them already included and now modified. There will be more airfields to the north and northwest of Bethel in a future post. There are revisions to Bethel to include parking spaces for Yute Air (newly included here) and extra spaces for Ryan Air. Both of these flew Cessna 205 planes into the smaller village strips from Bethel (past tense as Yute Air recently went bankrupt). The northwest area is served both from Bethel and also from St Mary's PASM, which is in the northwest and at a more economical range to the local airfields (100 miles closer than Bethel). These smaller airfields have few airfield buildings or any other creature comforts; featuring heavily are a new standard blue garage building (sometimes not yet installed) and a small and old terminal shed (that has sometimes collapsed and been removed). Go to "http://vfrmap.com/" for free vfr maps of the area, There is a pic of the local chart area included here. The screenshots are a random sample. Kipnuk PAKI is the one that appears to have a second and long grass runway; what it actually has is the ground prepared for a new and long gravel runway but which hasn't been started yet as it has taken 10 years just to prepare the ground. I have no idea why.

| KLM 1998 AI Package |
|
File Description:
By 1998, the KLM/Northwest alliance was in full swing, and KLM was serving MSP, DTW, and even MEM daily with it's own metal while Northwest took over from KLM from BOS, IAD, and some other cities. KLM had a vast route network spanning the globe, serving much of Africa and the Middle East with many "tag on" routes onward from Amsterdam. By 1998, KLM was flying the MD-11, 747-200SUD(stretched upper deck), 747-200SUD Combi, 747-300 Combi, 747-400, 747-400 Combi, 767-300ER, 737-300, 737-400, and 6 mainline Fokker 100s which were short lived before going to KLM UK in late 1998 then on to CityHopper. Unfortunately, in the OAG, KLM only specified if a 747 was a combi or not(as in 747=744/742 while 74M can be a combi version of the 742,743, or 744) and did not differentiate between 737-300s and 737-400s. I did my best using what data I had to make the routes realistic, but the aircraft numbers at least are correct except for some extra 767s and 737s that you may remove if you wish. I also had issues making sure the TPE flights were all operated by "KLM Asia" 747s, so I ended up assigning 1 extra 747(I have 5, in real life there were 4) the Asia livery to ensure that you do not see a standard KLM 747 at TPE as they did not visit in real life. You may switch this to a normal 747 if you choose. Repaints by Raphael Rodrigues for the AIA Fokker 100 and FAIB 737-300, 737-400, 767-300, 747-200SUD, 747-300, and 747-400 along with flightplans by Chasen Richardson are included. Note that the 747-200SUD uses the 747-300 model. As a Bonus, the KLM Cargo 747-200SUD is also included.Part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project. | Default Las Vegas McCarran with activated X-Wind Runways |
|
File Description:
A High quality AFCAD2 file for the default FS2004 Las Vegas McCarran airport. This file has been completely rebuilt from scratch using information from the latest FAA charts (17th March 2005). All Aprons have been completely rebuilt and are modelled to be as near real as possible. Improvements have been made to the taxiways, and newly built taxiways 'Romeo' and 'Zulu' have been added to the airport.
The 'crosswind runway technique' has been applied to this airport to activate all runways for simultaneous use.
Runways 01R/19L and 7L/25R will both be used for simultaneous take-offs whilst 01L/19R and 7R/25L will both be used for simultaneous landings, all dependent on wind direction.
Full night lighting has been provided for taxiways, runways and aprons and a 'Tower View' is now available. Full 'ALSF-2' approach lighting has been added to the landing runways to assist your approaches in poor visibility. The final runway modification is a 200ft overrun area at each end of runway 7R/25L only. All real life gates at this airport are now available for use, they are correctly numbered as per real life and have the correct airline assigned to them.
A new 'RJ' area with 12 stands for America West Express has also been added to the main apron, near the B concourse. Terminal 2 now has overflow parking to provide more space during peak periods. The 'Janet' (Area 51) shuttle area has been represented and has 8 coded stands for the 737s that use the terminal. Random parking has also been placed on the Executive Terminal area and also at 'Signature Parking' on the south west side.
Finally, there are a number of parking stands provided on the cargo area also. This file has been fully tested and all traffic flows as it should. If you have a large amount of traffic flowing thru LAS, this file will certainly bring the airport to life. Enjoy!!

| Default New York JFK with Active Runways |
|
File Description:
A High quality AFCAD2 file for the default FS2004 New York JFK. This file has been completely rebuilt from scratch using information from the latest FAA charts (17th March 2005). All Aprons have been completely rebuilt and are modelled to be as near real as possible. Improvements have been made to the taxiways, including slight realignments where needed to avoid building collisions. The 'crosswind runway technique' has been applied to this airport to activate all runways for simultaneous use. This means all 4 runways at this airport will be used for simultaneous take-offs and landings, all the time. Full night lighting has been provided for taxiways and runways. On the default setup, more than 1 runway shared the same ILS frequency and these frequencies have now been altered by +.05 MHz to avoid conflicts. Approach lighting has been upgraded to "ALSF-2" on all runways to better assist your approaches in poor visibility. Displaced thresholds have also been modified to enable better traffic flow for landing aircraft. A 'Tower View' is now available. All real life gates at at each terminal within the airport are now available for use and they are correctly numbered as per real life and have the correct airlines assigned to them. Extra parking can be found at the GA Terminal, cargo bases and maintenance areas, and all real life helipads have been added to the airport. Additional overflow parking (remote stands) can be found at Terminal 4, UA Terminal 7 and AA Terminal 8/9. This AFCAD2 has been fully tested and all traffic flows as it should. If you have a large amount of traffic flowing thru JFK, this file will certainly bring the airport to life. Note: There are 2 versions included within this package: (1) Terminal 5 out of use as per real life (no gates added), (2) Terminal 5 in use, with gates allocated to TWA (as it was back then). See images for info. Enjoy!!

READ THIS !!!
I've tried to the best of my ability to produce and much detail as possible but i'm sure
something has been left out (there always is).
I've used the latest Jeppesen charts and other materials at my disposal and even my own
eyesight at great risk to myself (yep, even pilots are restricted from certain places at
airports)
Also, lots of airports have changed drasticly on the past couple years like Abuja airport
(DNAA) and I would love to do justice to it as its fast becoming a major hub in the region. I
would be willing to join forces to with anyone that is good with AFCAD on this project.
Enjoy!
