FSX Boeing 747-8i Virgin Galactic with advanced VC by Alejandro Rojas Lucena and VC Textures Upgrade by Enrique Cornejo, founder of the Flightsim Workshop Project. This gives the b747 a payware Virtual Cockpit look and now with green leather tapestry on the sides of the seats. It even has a pilot jacket hanged in the rear of the cockpit (besides the right jumpseat). The panel.cfg and the aircraft.cfg have been assembled and edited by the Flightsim Workshop Team. Now you can pop up "My icons" window in the Virtual Cockpit to easily reach the following windows: GPS, avionics, map, ATC, Climb/Radio Altimeter/Spoiler switch, auto-break switch, throttle quadrant, clock, descent meter, kneeboard and overhead panel. A new feature in My Icons Window I added is a new Pitot Heat switch with ON and Off features, (XML gauge by Enrique Cornejo). cold weather, the Pitot Heat switch works just like in real life, so if its turned off the air speed indicator will stop working, so make sure you turn the Pitot Heat switch on before taking off!
The autopilot ON switches have green lights which make them look more realistic. Center ATC identification in this aircraft is "Boeing 747". We have also fixed the position of the strobe lights so when the aircraft is flying they are in the right place, so turn on the strobe lights switch after take off. The cockpit view from the pilots seat is now more comfortable because the distance between the cockpit and the seat is longer.
The aircraft has new engine views (from both wings) and new Virtual Cockpit interior views from the left, right and central jump seats. The brakes has a differential brake system to make smoother turns in ground. The Virgin Galactic Spaceship texture is wonderful and it has a unique paint scheme by Enrique Cornejo which also includes details such as some stains caused by humidity in the fuselage and the wing flaps and other details just like a real aircraft. Real smoke in the four engines, just select key, more cabin views, realistic cockpit and engines sound & more realistic night VC lights and fuselage night textures, in the VC just select key and reset the overhead Instrument panel light dim switch in the overhead panel. The aileron parameters have also improved, so now the right and left turns are smoother. This aircraft uses the Project Opensky FSX Boeing B747-800 Model OSX748V4_GENX(MDL), and includes the gauge window Posky Utility to view the main stairs, ground cargo servicing, etc. The engine sounds are edited like the real ones with cockpit ambient, so you can enjoy a pleasant flight. The Flight Management Computer (FMC) is fixed and looks like a payware instrument. The VC includes FMC, Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Multi-Function Display (MDF) displayed in the correct size. The virtual cockpit also has an Engine-Indicating and Crew-Alerting System also known as EICAS, Ground Proximity Warning System (GPWS), working wipers, cabin lights, fire suppression, avionics switch, fuel cross feed, and you can identify those instruments in the overhead panel because they are bordered with color lines. You can also find landing lights switches, taxi light switch, engine generators, APU generator, battery switch, starter switches, de-ice switch, general lights switches which are a great work of Alejandro. So now the whole cockpit and texture upgrade with all these improvements looks better than a payware version. The clock numbers are now in orange which makes them look better and easily recognizable. This is a new version of the original post from March 2014, made in 2018. It was made mainly to provide some missing textures, but has been modified to also add parked trucks and floodlights to the de-icing area (the floodlights are inoperative as they will not be on when there is no de-icing in progress) and also street and car parking lighting, a few more parked planes, and some further objects on the terminal apron area. The runway approach lighting was also corrected; moving the airport so that the ILS on 29 did not coincide with the roads would have been nice, but meant too many complications at this stage. The scenery is complete in itself and can be installed as-is if you do not have the original post. Grande Prairie is at 2,195 feet asl, 65 miles southeast of Dawsons Creek, 90 miles southwest of Peace River and around 60 miles east of the Rockies. The town has a population of around 55,000 and growing. The name comes from the wide expanse of prairies all around the town, and there is also a large forested area to the southwest leading up to the Rockies which supplies raw material for industries in the town. The airport is just to the west of the town. It was originally a military base, built during WW2. The two runways are 07-25 and 11-29 and 6,200 and 6,500 feet respectively, both 200 feet wide; runway headings had changed by 2010 in real life but take this as it was in 2008. When one is the active runway then the other is used as a taxiway. Taxiway A is very wide with in real life a repaired central section marked out for use.

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang (with AccuSim), in the colors of P-51D-5-NA 44-13287 WD-M, which was the aircraft assigned to Lt William Parent of the 4th FS/ 52nd FG, based in Italy. On the 1st of September 1944 however, it was being flown by Major Wyatt P. Exum during an escort mission to Hungary. It was Maj. Exum's first operational mission nin the ETO. On the way back from the mission, the squadron strafed an airfield, before spotting a moving train. Lts Strout and Wilson attacked the train, and as a result of Lt Wilson's attack, the engine blew up while he was overflying it, damaging his cooling system and setting the engine on fire. The fire quickly blew out, and Lt Wilson decided to make an belly landing in a recently plowed field. Over the radio, he heard Maj Wyatt Exum transmit "I'll be down to get you, Charlie!" and indeed he landed close to Lt Wilson's aircraft. Lt Wilson managed to turn Maj Exum's aircraft, as his tail wheel had become stuck in a rut in the field, and both men tried to squeeze into the cockpit. Meanwhile, men on horseback were approaching, shooting several holes in the aircraft. While Lt Wilson shot back with his .45, Major Exum gunned the engine, and they managed to take off with Lt Wilson half outside the cockpit with his .45. They flew the 400 miles back to Madna in Italy on their last fuel, and landed with other Mustangs landing from the other side. Major Exum received the Silver Star for this action, as well as from the undying gratitude and admiration from Lt Wilson Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the A2A paintkit.

Thank you for downloading this scenery. This is an extensive upgrade to the default Dallas/Ft. Worth International airport. The brand new Terminal D is added and in use now at DFW. FRF's rendition of this terminal is in no way photoreal or exact as it is in real life. The basic shape and dimensions are correct,but due to the limitations of the building blocks available to me at the time, We were not able to design the curved roof and some other architectural details of the actual building. The gates are generally accurate and I have seen no parking problems so far. The original main terminals remain with new, more accurate jetways. The overhead tramway which circles the entire terminal area has been added. It is not perfectly correct or photoreal, but it is a good basic representation.
An AFCAD is included with accurate parking per the DFW website and AA.com. There is a substantial frame rate hit with full AI traffic and weather enabled, but it is not a slideshow.
Update from v3:
The afcad file for KDFW is all new, made with AFX, and reflects recent updates to the taxiway layout. The new afcad file is no longer "all runways active" due to the incorrect behavior of AI aircraft overflying the main runways when using the 13/31's. The new end-around taxiway at the end of Rwys 17R/C is now in place. The runway 18R/17C extensions are reflected as well as associated new taxiways and signage. Parking changes are now reflected per the DFW website. Visual changes include the midfield hangar change from Delta to American titles, courtesy of Joe Degregorio.
