US Navy 1943 Livery Grumman Albatross version 2.1 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Grumman Albatross HU-16 Version 2.1 World War II Livery Obviously the Albatross is a post war aircraft. Although the original specifications were issued by the Navy in 1944, the Albatross did not enter active service until 1951. So why did I bother with this repaint? One of my favorite movies is Otto Preminger's 1964 production "In Harm's Way", a great WWII Navy story. In the movie the Albatross makes a brief appearance as a transport for the central character played by John Wayne. Most people wouldn't notice, but by that time all of the contemporary seaplanes were long retired, so the Albatross was pressed into service. The movie is black and white so I can't verify the paint, but to preserve appearances I chose to use the intermediate blue the Navy used in that period. So for what it's worth, here's an Albatross done up in the Navy's wartime paint scheme.

"Oakland NAS" North American SNJ-5 (G-CHIA) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint for the payware A2A Simulations AT-6 Texan. This repaint depicts the restored SNJ-5 BuNo. 85061, registered as G-CHIA, based at White Waltham airfield in the UK. This aircraft originally served in the US Navy from 1945 until 1954, at which time it was one of 12 SNJ's loaned to the then newly formed Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force. In 1977, the aircraft was returned to the US Navy and it was subsequently sold into the civilian market, becoming N9012Y in early 1979. By 1984 the aircraft was restored, painted in the markings of an early 1950's Oakland NAS based SNJ. After changing hands/locations a couple of times while still in the US, first to Corvallis, OR in 1997, and then later to Skagit Regional Airport north of Seattle in 2001, the aircraft was sold to the UK-based The Warplane Flying Co., first flying from Duxford, England in November 2012.

CJ-1 Starlet Download

File Description:
The John Corby designed CJ-1 Starlet was Australia's first certified homebuilt design. This nimble little aircraft is powered by the venerable Volkswagon "Flat Four" air cooled car engine (which originally was an aero engine in the 1930's) from the famous Beetle & Combi van converted to aeronautical standards (Capacity ranging from 1.8l to 2.2l). The Starlet is semi aerobatic and is stressed to +-4.5G. Other noteable features of the Starlet are a cruise speed of 120kt IAS and a climb rate of 1000 feet/min all on 75Hp. The model has been designed from the "ground up" using ABACUS' FSDS version 2.11. The model features the now usual moving parts, texture reflections & Dynamic shine. The model also features a full Dynamic Virtual Cockpit (DVC) and comes in 3 model variations. The Flight Dynamics have been constructed by the use of the 1% Spreadsheets (v2.82.98). B58 Hustler v1.1 for Vs. 6.4/6.51 Download

File Description:
B58 Hustler v1.1 for X-Plane 6.40/6.51 Updated so PC users can read paint.BMP file- development of the B58 began in 1951 with 161 planes delivered to SAC between 1960 and 1970. Americas first supersonic jet bomber (mach 2+) the B58 was designed for high speed delivery of nuclear or conventional weapons from long range as a compliment to the B52 subsonic bomber. One of the most sophisticated planes ever developed, the B58 set many speed and altitude records some of which remain unbroken today. With a gross takeoff weight of 173000 lbs the B58 could cary as much as 101000 lbs of fuel (that's almost 60% of the gross weight). One of the most computerized aircraft ever built, the B58 is amazingly easy to fly without any computer assistance (except the one used to run the x-plane simulator). Go to the attached web sit for the fascinating story of the B58 Hustler.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Boeing 777-206ER Download

File Description:
This is the first repaint of PH-BQB "Borobudur", KLM's second 777 which was delivered on November 7, 2003. I used the v1.0 model made by Melvin Rafi (http://www.meljet.com), so this version doesn't have the useless extended virtual cabin. Version 1 is therefore more framerate friendly than Version 2.

I made this repaint as realistic as possible. Every sticker on the real KLM 777 is integrated in this virtual replica, including the red "cut here" square near the cockpit windows, the new KLM-NWA alliance logo (see image on the top right) and the ETOPS notification on the gear door bays.

The model features everything you'd expect from a GMAX model (i.e. full moving parts & control surfaces). The model is made for FS2002, but will also work in FS2004. To install in FS2004, please refer to the readme.txt file within the download.

File Description:
Thanks to Andrew Spring of www.p166.com!! The third of the coming P-166 aircraft series. I'm going to built the whole family of these graceful twins. The Piaggio P-166A is a light small twin. An Exotic two-engined prop that sold all over the world including America, UK, and Australia. The S version is used by South Africvan Air forces. Comes with a longer nose and larger tip tanks for greater range, as it's a maritime patrol vresion. Its origin is traced Back to the Piaggio P-136, a light anphibian, wich the P-166 keeps the wings, the engines and the tailplanes. The first P-166A flew in November 1957. The aircraft is still in production in a slightly modified turboprop version, the P-166D-P1. This model is 788 Kbs with c.a. 23000 polygons in c.a.170 assemblies. Bell 206B JetRanger III Download

File Description:
Flight Simulator 98 Bell JetRanger texture kit for the default Flight Simulator 2004 Bell JetRanger helicopter. These textures reproduce the original Flight Simulator helicopter paint scheme. Flight Simulator 98 was the first commercial Flight Simulator for a PC platform to have the first true helicopter simulation. The simulation replicated the experience (to a certain degree, of course) of flying the Bell 206B JetRanger III helicopter. The 206 series from Bell Helicopter is perhaps the world's most popular light utility helicopter ever built, with more than two million flight hours - and close to 30,000 flight hours on several JetRangers to date. The first default Bell JetRanger had an off-white and blue paint scheme with gold stripes, and N-number N29PD on the doors. Since the default aircraft's tail, or "N-Number" location cannot be changed in FS2004, this is one detail I decided to omit and opt to use using the "atc_id" tag in the aircraft.cfg file.

Leisure International Level D Flightplan Download

File Description:
Using information gathered and sent to me by a wonderful individual off the LDS forums, I have compiled the flightplan to reenact the famous Leisure Intl trip from EGKK London Gatwick to KMCO Orlando Intl. This file is ready to fly, just need to input the other data such as your ZFW, etc. All waypoints and routes included INCLUDING the departure and arrival speed/altitude constraints as published in the official charts!!!! This is for the FMC of the Level D Simulation aircraft. I also recommend using the OSS Gatwick 2004 scenery and the Simflyers KMCO scenery, along with FSGenesis terrain meshes to give the best effect for this wonderful flight. Of course who would want to fly this without the awesome Leisure International repaint here in the AVSIM library? No readme included. The procedure is simple -- download it, unzip it and place it in your /Level-D Simulations\navdata\Flightplans folder. Enjoy!!!!!

Mahlon Sweet Field - Eugene, Oregon (KEUG) Download

File Description:
KEUG - Mahlon Sweet Field - Eugene, Oregon. Eugene, home of University of Oregon, is located at the South end of the Willamette Valley, at the confluence of the McKenzie and Willamette rivers, about 60 miles (100 km) East of the Oregon Coast. The airport is the fifth largest airport in the Pacific Northwest, providing commercial air service to a six-county region in mid-Oregon. This package is a modest enhancement of KEUG based on the Afcad originally created by Reiley McKendrick. Included are minor corrections to his afcad, excludes which remove objects from the taxiway area leading to the NEW 34R/16L runway and numbered jetways at the main terminal. All required files and textures are included. This enhancement is designed to work with the default FS2004 scenery and is offered as a basis for further enhancement. Please unzip (using folders option) to a temporary folder and follow the simple installation instructions. Compiled for your flying enjoyment by David "Opa" Marshall.
