Pancho Barnes' ranch near Edwards Air Force Base was at the very centre of the flight research world. Her bar attained almost legendary status and was the favourite place for those with 'The Right Stuff' to hang out. The era best fits with Golden Wings but the scenery works equally well in default FS9. Includes an AI traffic file for Golden Wings aircraft.

TEAL - the Coral Route - 1952

File Description:
TEAL introduced this service in 1951, ferrying passengers, mail and small freight items between Auckland (NZ), Suva (Fiji), Faleolo (Samoa), Motu Akaiami (Cook Islands) and Papeete (Tahiti, French Polynesia). Service was initially monthly but after six months became fortnightly as its appeal spread world-wide. After all, who wouldn’t like to spend a holiday in a tropical paradise, conveyed to your destination aboard a flying boat, landing in tranquil lagoons fringed by white sandy beaches and palm trees? Now you can relive those idyllic times by flying your Short Solent IV from Auckland to Tahiti in early May, 1952. Please read the enclosed INSTALL.txt first and and coral52.doc files for essential information.

This is my third resuce mission. Two inexperience hikers decide to do some winter backpacking on a trail in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and get lost in a snowstorm. You have been called to help search for them This mission is rated EXPERT. There are no pointers in the mission, you must be able to understand a areonotic sectional chart and know how to navigate using VOR(s) to locate both the hiker and the hospital. You MUST be experienced in flying a helicopter and be able to hover over an area. Read the MISSION BREIFING document, it has all the information required for this mission.

Puzzle - completing the engine, 1943.

File Description:
From 1942/43, at an aircraft assembly plant somewhere in the USA, a female worker assembles a wiring harness to a radial engine in this original large-format Kodachrome photograph. Photo courtesy US Government archives and www.shorpy.com. No installation is required (the puzzle runs straight from the file) and no other downloads are necessary. A ReadMe with the simple instructions is included. 475 pieces.

BIRDS 7 The GOLD Valley....

File Description:
Thanks to the great work made by Holger Sandmann I have discovered Bella Coola Valley and how can I say....I felt in love with this place. So this is probably the best BIRDS volume I had the pleasure to upload and the one where I put the most of myself and of ...my imagination because of course the scenery is pure ficton. If you have appreciated the previous volumes this one will give you, I think, a lot of fun and pleasure. A warm thanks again to Adam Mills for his textures and to Aime Leclercq (Oscar) for his nice trees. Enjoy :-)

The Shortest World Scheduled Flight

File Description:
Orkney boasts the record of having the worlds shortest scheduled flight between Papa Westray and Westray Islands.This route is flown by Loganair pilots using Britten-Norman Islander twin-engined aircraft,flight times for passengers is between two to three minutes! The distance between the two airfields is about one and a half nautical miles. The route was once accomplished in 58 seconds by Capt. Andrew Alsop!
