Active Approach - PHNL (Honolulu Intl Honolulu, Hawaii)

File Description:
As most know the Approach and Final (VMC) for AI Traffic in FS9 is a straight in type landing and does not always consider high terrain at airports. This is do to the way that the coding is written in FS9 and it puts limits on IFR arriving aircraft. If you open runways at certain airports the AI Traffic will fly directly through a mountain once it is established on Final for a runway. What you will see with my file is a different type approach used for the way I control AI Traffic in FS9. No longer do the AI Planes use a straight in approach when landing to the west at PHNL. My new AI Aircraft Approach coding for FS9 now uses a base leg approach so AI Traffic does not fly through the mountains. The Honolulu Control Tower will clear all AI Traffic (IFR FP) landing either on 26L and 26R as a straight in landing even though the offset to final is 30 degrees from the runway center line. The Control Tower will instruct the AI Planes landing on either 22L or 22R to fly a left base leg which is greater then a 45 degree offset and then the AI Planes will turn on a short 1.5 mile final. The left base approach to 22L and 22R runways is a 65 degree offset from the runway center line. My testing shows excellent behavior of the FS9 default models, PAI models and the Aardvark planes of all sizes to execute this new type of visual approach that I am now writting code for which supersedes the FS9 default straight in ATC hard code approach. Patches for Lighthouses of Annaba and Bejaia, Algeria and Corrected Faulty Terrain in Annaba and Oran

File Description: Those patches are setting into FSX the lighthouse of the Cap de Garde, in Annaba, Algeria and the ones of Bejaia. They also flatten two inaccuracies of terrain which are seen in Annaba, on the route to the airport and in Oran, East of the harbour.

YFOR Fortnum Gold Mine and airstrip (in care and maintenance)

File Description:
YFOR The Fortnum mine closed in April 2007, having only reopened in July 2006, when the then-owner Gleneagle Gold Limited went into receivership. It was sold to Eagle Gold Mines Limited in 13 December 2007, which, in turn, went into receivership in 2009, now renamed Grosvenor Gold Pty. Limited. The future of the mine remains uncertain. Approximate figure for the period from July 2006 to April 2007, calculated from gold sales of A$21,000,000 at an average of A$800 per ounce in this time.

Reservoirs and Lakes of Lesotho and Western Natal, South Africa

File Description:
Replacement files for water bodies of eastern South Africa, in and near the Drakensberg Range (S28.1-29.5 E28.3-30.0). Natural and man-made lakes are now in their accurate position and elevation. Includes the Katse Dam reservoir in Lesotho as well as about 100 smaller lakes in Lesotho and western Natal not present in the FS default scenery. Based on a watermask derived from Landsat 7 ETM+ satellite data and compiled with a beta version of Jim Keir's "Slartibartfast" utility. Meant to be used with the Aeroworx SRTM LOD9 South Africa mesh.

ILS and GPS Approach Creator v1.0 for FS9 and FSX

File Description:
This easy-to-use program allows the user to add an ILS and/or a GPS approach to any airport in FS9 or FSX. The user will be able to select the approach in the GPS unit, and request the approach from ATC. The ATC will then vector you to make an ILS or GPS approach. The AI will also be able to use the ILS approach, and you will hear them say so over the radio. The program was designed with the non-expert user in mind, and no familiarity with XML coding is assumed. The program supports up to four FS installations. The program needs to be run in conjunction with AFCAD (or a similar utility for FSX). You will also need the .NET Framework 2.0 and MSXML 4.0 installed on your computer. Tested with XP Home and Pro. Full instructions included.
