File Description:
Textures for Libardo Guzman's Electra model. L-188A Electra c/n 1094 original 1959 delivered to Western AL, 1968 converted to Combi L-188PF and to Intl. Jetair Canada as CF-IJY, then as N405GN from 1977 to 1979, flew for Great Northern in Alaska as part of the development of the North Slope oil fields. Aircraft can be found at: https://simviation.com/1/download-file?file=1-ELECTRA.zip&fileId=48728 Attention, the large cargo hatches cannot be opened on the Guzman model! I recommend using Fraser McKay's excellent panel (FML188AP.zip available at Flightsim.com) including the config. and air. files supplied with this panel package. These provide exact aircraft's characteristics and enable certain systems to function correctly, which those provided with the original model may not. Repaint by Manfred Meyer

Explorer 1 Add-on for Orbiter Download

File Description:
Explorer 1 was the first satellite launched by the United States when it was sent into space on January 31, 1958. Following the launch of the Soviet Union's Sputnik 1 on October 4, 1957, the U.S. Army Ballistic Missile Agency was directed to launch a satellite using its Jupiter C rocket developed under the direction of Dr. Wernher von Braun. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory received the assignment to design, build and operate the artificial satellite that would serve as the rocket's payload. JPL completed this job in less than three months. The primary science instrument on Explorer 1 was a cosmic ray detector designed to measure the radiation environment in Earth orbit. Once in space this experiment, provided by Dr. James Van Allen of the State University of Iowa, revealed a much lower cosmic ray count than expected. Van Allen theorized that the instrument may have been saturated by very strong radiation from a belt of charged particles trapped in space by Earth's magnetic field. The existence of these radiation belts was confirmed by another U.S. satellite launched two months later, and they became known as the Van Allen Belts in honor of their discoverer. Explorer 1 revolved around Earth in a looping orbit that took it as close as 354 kilometers (220 miles) to Earth and as far as 2,515 kilometers (1,563 miles). It made one orbit every 114.8 minutes, or a total of 12.54 orbits per day. The satellite itself was 203 centimeters (80 inches) long and 15.9 centimeters (6.25 inches) in diameter. Explorer 1 made its final transmission on May 23, 1958. It entered Earth's atmosphere and burned up on March 31, 1970, after more than 58,000 orbits. The satellite weighed 14 kilograms (30.8 pounds).

Ocean City Municipal Airport (26N), NJ Download

File Description:
Located 02 miles SW of Ocean City, New Jersey on 60 acres of land, Ocean City Municipal Airport is host to quite a few GA aircraft, and has plenty of room for anyone looking to fly in for a few days. Around 60 tiedown spots are available on the tarmac. The main tarmac can host planes with wingspans up to 40 feet. If you managed to fly in anything larger than that head for the west end of the field to tie down. FSX may spawn some AI craft in that area but it is not attached to the main taxi network so no planes will leave from there - the majority of planes FSX spawns in that larger spot can't handle the runway length! Be sure to check your aircraft can handle takeoffs without freezing temps and a ton of headwind before you fly in. You can gas up by stopping near the fuel truck by the terminal or by the gas tank at the west end of the tarmac. Don't ask me what that yellow circle is on the tarmac - if anyone knows you can tell *me* :P It's in the airport photos so its there. Runway touchdown markings are enabled as in real life, but apparently FSX decides not to draw them because the runway is too thin.

Scenery constructed with use of satellite images/streetview, the author has not been there in person.
This scenery is meant to be used in conjunction with MegaScenery Earth New Jersey/Delaware 003. It is not required, but apron use is minimized to allow satellite scenery to show through as much as possible, and objects are placed based on the MSE textures - lack of it may make scenery look out of place.

Dreamfleet 737-400 Panel/Air and Ariane Gmax Visual Model Merge Download

File Description:
Dreamfleet/Flight1 Panel and air file merged With Gmax Ariane 737-400 Aeroflot visual model in FS2002. NOTE: users may have both Dreamfleet and Ariane products to run my merge beacuse I don't send any *.bmp, *.mdl or *.air but only a rewritten aircraft.cfg and the instrctions! This merge of the excellent Dreamfleet/Flight1 panel and the Ariane Gmax Aeroflot 737-400 is a combination of adjustments made by me, Mirko Masiero, on previus work of Jason Barlow and Lou Betti. Do not bother Dreamfleet/Flight1 or Ariane with any problems due to this merge. They will not support it in any way. I may support it a bit as I find time, but you're basically on your own. I'm just contributing this to the community. If and when Dreamfleet/Flight1 release a Gmax visual model, I will cease to use this. The flight model should be exactly the same as the Dreamfleet/Flight1 737-400. This merge uses the Dreamfleet/Flight1 air file and most of the aircraft.cfg too. The station loads in the weighting section come right out of an aircraft.cfg edited by the Load Manager, so you could copy in your own station loads if you desire. Known problems: For some reason regard Flight One 737 air file and Ariane model interactions, the ailerons do not work VISUALLY (only!) even though they work on Ariane 737-400. I do not believe there is anything I can do about this. The virtual cockpit, I Think due to a particolar Ariane model design, is not usable, but this is a minor issue... Enjoy! UV-4 V/STOL UAV (Experimental) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Created as a means to display the potential of a ducted fan rotorcraft powered by multiple electric motors. The system made its launch in 2015, since then advances and improvements have been completed to the airframe and power plant configurations. Delivering an efficient means of lift using smaller and therefore quieter propeller then traditional helicopters. The function of the ducted system serves as a mean of channeling pressure and vectoring thrust. Giving the UV-4 a unique control system and improved maneuverability. The design of a low speed "T-Tail" houses the function of yaw control with multiple rudders located on its vertical stabilizer, and elevators on its horizontal stabilizer. In addition the rear ducted systems may pivot up to less then sixty degrees forward and backwards to deliver the vector thrust where the aircraft needs it to be. The cargo bay may house up to four thousand pounds of deliverable payload. As its max gross take-off weight is designed to reach twelve thousand five hundred pounds. The electrical systems on the aircraft use a network of batteries, generators, and its two electrical motors. Proving five hundred horse power each, totaling an amount of one thousand horse power. An electrical charge then powers the mechanization used to spin the propeller to its desired rate per minute. Perhaps in the near future an additional system can be created to then generate electrical charges created by the spinning propeller of inside the duct back into the aircraft to then power systems or recharge the battery. We forward to providing this aircraft on Microsoft Flight Simulator X, Lockheed-Martin Prepar3d, and X-Plane 10 for download by the end of 2016. Aircraft by Rob Gomez & Kris Pyatt

Consolidated PBY-5 RNZAF 6 Sqn XX-W Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
A repaint for the Aerosoft PBY-5 Catalina in the colors of NZ4020 XX-W of the RNZAF. Bu08435, it flew with 6 Flying Boat Squadron. Following Japan's entry into the war in December 1941, the RNZAF had to switch from primarily training pilots to Europe into a combat force. No. 6 Squadron RNZAF was formed as an army co-operation unit at Milson in February 1942 flying Vickers Vildebeest and Hawker Hind aircraft. At the same time, No. 5 Squadron RNZAF moved to Fiji with Short Singapores and Vickers Vildebeest and Vincent biplanes. Modern maritime patrol flying boats (and more Hudson light bombers) were requested under Lend Lease and when the first Consolidated Catalinas arrived a detachment of men from No. 5 Squadron was assigned to convert to these types as No. 6 Squadron. Before the squadron was officially formed these men successfully completed their first air-sea rescue of a downed US aircrew. From May 1943 No. 6 squadron undertook action against the Japanese. The Squadron also conducted search and rescue missions for allied aircrew and seamen, and undertook many open sea rescues. XX-W arrived in Fiji on 21 October 1943. On February 18, 1944 it took off on a dumbo rescue mission to north Buka Island and landed to rescue two crew members and pick up a dead body from the crash of B-25, and successfully returned them to Halavo. On 26 May 1945, it stalled on landing at Hobsonville and was towed to its mooring by a crash boat. The induced damage resulted in the aircraft being written off charge on 18 June 1945. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aerosoft

Knight Inlet CF36 float base in British Columbia, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Knight Inlet is a floating lodge that organises "nature experiences", ranging from close encounters with local grizzly bears to fishing. Knight Inlet is to the north of "the narrows" where the Inside Passage gets squeezed between the mainland and Vancouver Island, and there is a chart section attached with a pointer to the location. At the bottom of the chart is Campbell River floatbase, and to the west is Port Hardy. Knight Inlet initially runs east-west, and the lodge is tucked into a smaller north-south offshoot, close to where the main inlet turns north. The water runway here is in the middle of the north-south offshoot, though of course in reality the "runway" is wherever the wind dictates it to be. The names highlighted in green on the chart are float bases to be renovated and posted with working AI. The buoyed log boom next to the lodge is to keep escaped logs from drifting in and colliding with boats; float plane pilots keep their eyes peeled too. Because of large hills adjacent to the lodge the landing of the AI may or may not take place, depending on wind direction and whether or not they fly into rock before landing. Take off and departure are far more reliable, particularly if the wind is from the south. Most of the AI is from Vancouver Harbour, Harbour Air Otters and West Coast Air Beavers, plus a SeAir Beaver from Campbell River and a private Cessna from the nearby Minstrel Island. This is the second in a series of new and renovated float bases in BC (the first being Sproat Lake) and to cope with the AI demands FSAddon have authorised the inclusion here of a bunch of AI Otters and Beavers that were originally part of a payware scenery for the area. Thanks are due there.

WXAR Susi Air Armopa Road Airstrip v1.0.0 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is an X-Plane 11 scenery for Armopa Road Airstrip (WXAR) in the Armopa, Papua, Indonesia. This is a fictitious airfield, located in an active road. This fictitious airfield may serve as a road challenge while flying the airstrips in Papua, as one of the destinations for "PT ASI Pujiastuti Aviation", operating as Susi Air, an Indonesia airlines established in late 2004 by Mrs. Susi Pudjiastuti. This scenery was tested and is operational (as of January 19, 2017) in "X-Plane 11 Public Beta #6 64 bit", Windows 10 Home. It was also tested and is partially operational (as of January 19, 2017) in "X-Plane 10.51 64 bit", Windows 10 Home. The issue with XP10 is the mesh again: there is no road in XP10, and no traffic, while the road and the traffic is there in XP11.

Khalifa Airways Airbus A330-300 C-FRAV Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Repaint for the Blackbox Simulations (BBS) Airbus A330-300 v0.85+ in the colours of Khalifa Airways (K6/KZW)of Algeria. This company operated from 1999 to 2003 when it went spectacularly bankrupt along with the rest of the Khalifa Group. The company leased two A330-300s from Canadian charter company Skyservice, C-FRAE and C-FRAV (depicted in this repaint). These aircraft were mostly used on the trunk routes to France but were also spotted in Spain and *may* have occasionally served Jeddah (Hajj charters) and Dubai. C-FRAV was returned to Skyservice and rejoined its initial operator LTU, then Air Berlin, before spending a few years in Russia until it was scrapped at St Athan in 2017. This is my 1st ever repaint, and is therefore far from perfect, but I think it gets the job done.

FSXRC Graphical Remote Control Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a FSX (only) Remote Control program with a GUI. It is intended to help you fly your various aircraft without making changes to the aircraft files. This is a beta version with support for fixed wing, combustion engine aircraft with 1 to 4 engines. It requires Pete Dowson's FSUIPC v4 with or without WideFS, but it works best on a separate computer with the registered version of FSUIPC and WideFS. The program will work for 30 days without a registration key. If you want a key, email me (see readme.txt file) with the installation code and your feedback. With this application you can have a flight engineer working with you or an instructor can monitor and challenge a student. You can simply use the app to help you control aspects of the aircraft that you may not have easy access to.
