FSX/P3D TWA 707-331Adv 1969 Download

File Description:
This is a repaint of the 707-300 in TWA 'Star Stream' colors. The payware 707-300 by Captain Sim is needed for this repaint. TWA was one of the two great U.S. intercontinental carriers of the jetliner golden era, the other being PanAm. They plied the world with their shiny 707s, DC-8s, and 747s, well before many other US carriers did so. TWA was also interesting, as it was run by the enigmatic Howard Hughes. On January 25,1959 TWA launched its first jet service on between New York and San Fransisco. The route was chosen by Howard Hughes himself, to compete with American Airlines new jet service between New York and Los Angeles. The plane, a 707-131, sported the new 'Star Stream' double globe livery, one of the most iconic liveries in civil aviation history. TWA carried this livery for almost 20 years, when it was phased out in the late 1970s. This repaint is of a TWA 707-331 Advanced, reg: N18701. It was one of the 127 which went into TWA service in the long history of the airline. It was delivered new in January 1966. Sadly, it was damaged beyond repair in Milan Italy on 22 December 1975, when it landed outside the runway, struck a transmissometer and a CAT II television camera. The landing gear and all 4 engines separated in the subsequent slide. The aircraft came to a rest, with the nose broken off behind the forward cabin door. There were no fatalities. Textures are 32bit DDS. This repaint was tested FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-3.

Dave's Aerodrome Airport (7NJ9), NJ Download

File Description:
Located 01 miles SW of Cedarville, New Jersey on 43 acres of land, Dave's Aerodrome Airport is a private turf field 2000' with a 600' displaced threshold on Runway 12. Each runway has a clear 20:1 approach slope, but in the case of Runway 12 be sure to aim for a landing past the hangar! There are power lines running along the road at the runway threshold that are not just there for decoration - come in too low and FSX will register a crash. In real life they have red balls on them - unfortunately I have no way of adding those in the sim at this time. So be on the lookout while on approach. Also take note that it is a right pattern for Runway 12 and a left pattern for Runway 30. The windsock is located next to the hangar and is not lit. There are no lights at this airport so daytime VFR operations only are suggested. No services are offered for transient aircraft. There is no hard-surfaced runway, you will be landing on bare terrain so set your mesh complexity slider as high as it will go for the best effect. Scenery constructed with use of satellite images/streetview/aerial photos - the author has not been there in person. This scenery is meant to be used in conjunction with MegaScenery Earth New Jersey/Delaware 005. It is not required, but apron use is minimized to allow satellite scenery to show through as much as possible, and objects are placed based on the MSE textures - lack of it may make scenery look out of place.

Nick's Space Shuttle Landing Challenge FINAL RELEASE Download

File Description:
Featuring the Space Shuttle Discovery and celebrating NASA's return to space! This package contains the most up to date version of my Space Shuttle Landing Challenge (v1.2). I am providing it as a FINAL single installation package to eliminate the need for multiple update files. This package includes the Space Shuttle Discovery redesigned using actual NASA-Boeing mechanical/aeronautical engineering data, a panel, sounds and shuttle landing FX. The space shuttle in the sim (like the real shuttle) has the ability to water 'ditch' and belly land in an emergency or if improperly landed on the suspension system. You can select the sensitivity of the main landing gear struts (less crashes) for those who are novice to flying critical tolerances. This package includes a CHALLENGE FLIGHT ADVENTURE PACKAGE and features a reference list of the flights along with approach/landing procedure tips to the kneeboard (F-10) for you to refer to while in flight. The adventure pack will provide a set of 11 challenge flights spanning the globe for the space shuttle re-entry simulation. A Bonus PACK of CrashBar effects including smoke, fire, explosions and other nasty reminders of landing mistakes is included as an optional installation. The original .mdl file is by Matthew Moxon and a modified for FS9 panel byTom Kellner. Model repaint, flight dynamics, air file, sound.cfg, adventure flights and shuttle landing\crash FX by Nick Needham. Includes NASA's description of the entire landing process which you can now experience in Flight Simulator! This package includes an install for FS2002 as well and supersedes all other update packages. ENJOY! Nick Needham, [email protected]

B-2A Spirit Stealth Bomber Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The B-2A Stealth Bomber is the most sophisticated aircraft on the planet. She is essentially a “Flying Wing” platform with no V-Tail, and is controlled by pre-programed flight computers stationed in various positions within the crew cabin and wings. There is one main computer that controls the aircraft, with two redundant back-up computers assigned to it in case of failure. All additional computers are assigned to functions involving flight control, system monitoring, data communications, and radar. Engine and Aerodynamic effects are controlled by these computers which serve several actuators and ailerons, including the spoilerons, which further compensate for the lack of a V-Tail. In theory, and because of these computers, the aircraft is “Stall-Proof”. The only way it can stall is if the computers fail. There is no way she can be flown without the computers active. The REAL aircraft does almost everything based on pre-programed data, other than taxi to the runway (although this is also possible to program). Before each flight, the Mission is designed and then assigned to the Mission Flight Box (Portable Computer) which is then carried by the Commander to the aircraft, and the data from the box is “transferred” to the main on-board computers. Because of this, the B-2 cannot be flown until the box is ready for the mission, and pilots cannot simply jump in and fly her, with the exception that the data is transferred via satellite. Everything is pre-planned, and this takes several hours. Once the data is on-board, the taxi can begin. When lined-up on the runway, all the pilot needs to do is push a button or three. Everything else is computer controlled until landing. The aircraft CAN be flown manually with basic data inputs into the main computer systems, but even in that case it is not conventional. If a pilot wants to turn right, he sets the data to turn to a certain degrees of heading. The same with climb and descent, speed increase or decrease. A pilot cannot over-ride the computers in any case, so steep banks, climbs, or descents cannot be forced. There is a lot of space for the two member crew within the cockpit, but there is also a space reserved for one observer. This additional seat is known as “Suicide Position” because there is no ejection seat for that observer. In the event of a mishap, the observer can try to bail-out through the ejection hatches after the pilots, or can try the exit ramp door, or the bomb bay as an exit route. The odds of escape for the observer are very small, but he has a parachute as reassurance. Otherwise, what the crew does during missions is only a guess, since they really don't have to do anything unless an alarm goes off. Since the plane flies so smooth, we can only imagine what sort of things they may dream-up to entertain themselves during a long flight. High altitude flights are conducted at night mainly due to the obvious contrail such a flight will exhibit during the day with such hot engines. The engines are encased in a heat absorbing shield material (still exhaust exists), and the rest of the plane is coated with Radar absorbant material, with the additional low profile effect of the aircraft design itself. If it can be seen by the ground or a fighter, it can be attacked by fighters or the ground. During daytime flight they will stay below the contrail level, and monitor the radar systems in preparations for counter-measures. If a fighter can visually observe them, the fighter may be able to shoot them down with bullets from behind, but not likely with missiles because of the sophisticated counter-measures available. On Radar the aircraft appears the size of a pigeon, until about 8 to 10 miles away, which would be too late to counter from the ground, so most attacks are either done at night or during the day at very low altitude. Upon landing the aircraft is automated down to about 200 feet AGL, when the pilot takes command. All she/he does at this point is allow her to glide down and contact the runway, and retard the engines. Brakes are used to slow, then the computers are turned off, and the pilot can control the throttles, nose gear, and brakes. The Commander watches for obstructions, mainly, and communicates with the tower and ground crew. Everything in this model has been reconfigured to meet realistic standards, without any tricks or flight tuning, and following real world aerodynamic principals and available data, including MOI. The panel requires study before use, but very realistic. The sounds are very authentic. There is no other model offered anywhere that compares to what you have now available in front of you. Please read and study the Readme.txt file within the main folder before attempting to fly this 2.2 Billion Dollar aircraft. Yes, that's correct ... $2,200,000,000 each! The use of this model, and the configuration of such, is designed for educational purposes, and protected by the Free Use Act: (https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/17/107). Replacement Dynamic Water Textures v11 Download

File Description:
Replacement dynamic water texture-sets for FS2004 (VERSION 11). These newer version 11 moon light textures are a completely new type than my earlier versions. The results are much improved and there is also a "new moon" texture in this version which is a more realistic and darker blue/black which contrasts nicely with my moon light textures. This compares quite drastically to the default over lit pinkish brown tones the default FS9 uses for a new moon. Now when you fly by moonlight you can actually see the moon kissed water and even see some wave action. It actually feels like you are there! There are 2 moon light textures in this download. The default reflections and water colors leave a lot to be desired in FS2004. As an example; The default milky "bright green" overcast texture is highly unrealistic in overcast conditions. The replacement textures will change this dramatically to a much more convincing and realistic "blue/grey", cast, with improved lighting and reflections in respect to the sun. These replacement textures will generally give a much more realistic tone and color to the water effects in FS2004. The change is quite dramatic and transforms the flight sim experience to a much greater level of realism. It is important to stress the default FS9 textures are fully compatible with these new textures and they can be used in any combinations and can be mixed and matched with the new textures. For example it may be that some users want to keep some of the water environment textures as they are by default but change only one or two textures. The choice is yours. As a further added bonus a voice control file has been included for "Shoot" which will control FS2004 by voice. It is brilliant and it's free.

KNILM Douglas DC-3 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Re-upload. FS2004 KNILM Douglas DC-3. Before and after World War II KLM was a major European operator of the Douglas DC-3. The first DC-3 entered service with KLM in October 1936. This made KLM the first operator of the DC-3 in Europe. 22 others would join before Nazi-Germany invaded the Netherlands on 10 May 1940 and occupied the country for five dark years. The KLM DC-3's served destinations in Europe as well as the famous 'Indies-route' from Amsterdam to Batavia (Dutch East Indies; nowadays Jakarta, Indonesia). Those DC-3's present at Amsterdam-Schiphol, if not destroyed by bombs, were impounded by the Germans. Other DC-3's that happened to be elsewhere out of reach of the enemy found their way either to the Dutch East Indies where they served on the KNILM routes to various destinations in Far East Asia and Australia until the Japanese invasion in February 1942, or to England where they were leased by BOAC for the London (later Bristol) to Lisbon service. PH-ALP 'Pelikaan' ('Pelican') ended up in the Dutch East Indies, was bought by KNILM (Royal Netherlands Indies Airways) as PK-AFV. On her last flight on 3 March 1942 from Batavia to Broome, Australia, Japanese Zero fighters shot at PK-AFV and set her alight. The aircraft succesfully crash-landed on the beach at Carnon Bay, Australia. The repaint of PK-AFV is based on the templates Mark Beaumont created for the MAAM-SIM Douglas DC-3 (passenger version), which were based on Jan Visser's original textures. These are textures only. You will require MAAM-SIM's great donationware Douglas R4D/DC-3 package. Repaints by Maarten Brouwer.

FSX/P3D Seaboard World 707-345C 1968 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the 707-345C in Seaboard World 1968 colors. The payware Captain Sim 707-300C is needed for this repaint. New York based, Seaboard & Western Airlines - an all cargo airline, was renamed Seaboard World Airlines on 26 April 1961. The "new" airline received the first of 6 CL-44 turboprops in August 1961. The CL-44 was the first modern airliner designed solely to carry freight. They were put into service after August 1961. By 1962, the Lockheed Constellations were all replaced, and Seaboard became an all-turbine-powered airline (with the exception of a solitary C-46 based in Europe). Two years later in 1964, Seaboard received their first pure jets in three DC-8-Fs. 1964 was the airline's best year ever, as profits jumped by 53%, and the future looked very bright. However, it was not to be. Seaboard was forced to compete over its routes with the freight capacity of the passenger airlines, which annually became more competent in the cargo field. Although they did have a bright spot in providing charters to the military, the air freight industry as a whole will eventually fail to achieve the traffic potential envisioned by "aviation experts". Nevertheless, Seaboard, with new jetliners at their disposal, went on and provided excellent service to its customers. They offered a wide range of cargo services to many points in Europe. Eventually, falling passenger charters and stiff competition took their toll. Seaboard was bought out in 1980 by the only real all-cargo success at the time - The Flying Tiger Line. Seaboard operated 2n 707-300Cs from 1968 to 1969. This aircraft, N7322S, was leased from VARIG in 1968. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-3. Textures are DXT5 dds.

Random Airport Generator Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
I can be contacted at [email protected] for any help required or different drive versions needed. [ABOUT THE PROGRAM] This program will read a text file from the route of your hard drive depending on the version you run, and select a random line and display that line. The file must be a text file named "Airports.txt". This program was designed with ease of use in mind for selecting a random airport for the Flight Sim community, though can be used for any purpose with any text file called "Airports.txt". The program will display the airport ICAO code then co-ordinates. [ABOUT ME] I am a 16 year old aviation enthusiast that loves flying and ATC, but hate having to choose an airport to depart from and arrive at, or to controll. This program has now removed this to make my flight more random with less decisions to make. I also like to explore areas I haven't been before, again this selects a random airport, from thousands of different ones, so exploring is inevitable. [INSTALLATION] The only installation required is to copy the Airports.txt file to the route of your hard drive C: or D: (for more drives e-mail me as above), then run the respective program for that drive from any folder you wish. [ABOUT THE AIRPORTS.TXT FILE] This file was collected from my FS2004 and contains every airport in it. Currently the program selects a line at random and displays it, whether a large international airport or small grass field. You could edit the file just to contain your favourite airports and it will NOT affect the running of the program as long as the file remains as Airports.txt. I am hoping in future versions to allow you to select a type of airfield, i.e. large, medium or small or select from runway length, though this will take a while to produce, if ever. For now i hope everyone enjoys the program and happy flying :)

Replacement Dynamic Water Textures Version 8 Download

File Description:
Replacement dynamic water texture-sets for FS2004 (VERSION 8). This is the full version 8. The default reflections and water colors leave a lot to be desired in FS2004. As an example; The default milky "white/green" texture is highly unrealistic in overcast conditions. The replacement textures will change this dramactically to a much more convincing and realistic "blue/grey", cast, with improved lighting and refections in respect to the sun. These replacement textures will generally give a much more realistic tone and color to the water effects in FS2004. The change is quite dramactic and transforms the flight sim experience to a much greater level of realism. Fully compatible with my earlier versions of "overcast" texture modifications. Textures included are; Clear weather; High noon, mid-sun, low sun, sun-rise and sun-set with a choice of four "overcast" tones and a choice of two sun sets Version 8 has improved sun-set and sun-rise textures which offer better colours and better transitions from daylight to dawn/dusk hours; and a small change to the reflections on the low-sun texture. As an added bonus with Version 8 you have a choice of sun sets to use. Now you can have the very bright "orange" sun sets or select one of the new "golden yellows" which offer two distinct variations.
