| Alaskan Commuter #9: North Alaskan Skies 2002 |

File Description:
Enhancements to 50 land-based airports in Northern Alaska. Includes static aircraft and additional airport structures as well as easy to install landclass files. These landclass files add small villages and stands of conifers that blanket the surrounding areas. The experience can be further enhanced with autogen tree replacements by either Ed Truthan or Gerrish Gray (download separately). This will greatly improve the look of autogen conifers, and multiply their numbers significantly. The results are realistic approaches over thickly forested areas into bush airports with small nearby communities, and it is fairly gentle on frame rates. If you download this scenery, and if you are not using these replacement trees, I recommend (no, I insist) that you download one of those utilities now. Look for "conifers.zip" by Ed Truthan or "MSTrees2.zip" by Gerrish Gray.

File Description:
This is another of my fictional repaints of Melvin Rafi's fantastic GAMX 772 this time in Lufthansa colours. This guy has outdone himself with it. Lufthansa had originally put in a few orders for the Triple seven, but as they do not have any in their present fleet, it seems they cancelled. Most likely in Favour of the A340. For this paint, I borrowed the registration of a now retired Lufhtansa 747-232. Which is preserved and on show in a German museum. The name for this aircraft is in honour of a place I live while in Germany. This Zip file contains replacement textures only (With custom wing textures and new nightlighting). You will need to have the RR engined model pre-installed. Copy and paste the textures, its that easy.

A Super Duper Upgrade for all AI Aardvark
737NG Models. This upgrade will add the
following to aia 737NG models: compressing
landing gear, animated thrust reversers,
spoiler bays, XML controlled takeoff flaps
and a new slimmer vertical tail to replace
the original fat one!
You don't get all these added features for
free though, you may experience a slight FPS
loss due to the small additional polygon
load and XML coding.
Includes replacement models for the
following: 737-900ER, 737-900, 737-800,
737-800W, 737-700, 737-700W and 737-600.
Also includes a fictional (at present)
737-600 with winglets.
These models do not need new textures, they
will work with textures made for the original
ai aardvark 737 NG series models.
Base Models only, includes no textures.

The Curtiss SB2C replaced the Douglas SBD in Nov of 1943, not well received by most Naval Dive Bomber pilots who didn't think it was a fitting replacement for the sturdy reliable and well-liked SBD. It was called the "Son of a Bitch 2nd Class ", "The Beast" and the "Big Assed Bird". E.B.A. (ÅëëçíéêÞ ÂáóéëéêÞ Áåñïðïñßá / Royal Hellenic Air Force) received more than 37 SB2C-5 since spring of 1949 and used them until the end of the Civil War against communist rebel troops. The last Hellenic "Helldiver" was retired during 1952. Texture set only for an aircraft belonged to 336th Bomber Sqdn. (M.E.B.) of the Royal Hellenic Air Force (E.B.A.) during 1949/50.These textures require the new and beautiful FREEWARE FS9 Curtiss SB2C-4 HELLDIVER by Wolfang 'Wolfi' Faber downloadable at http://www.sim-outhouse.com. This is a repaint for the captain sim C-130 X-perience (http://www.captainsim.com/products/c131/), to use this repaint, BASE pack is required. This repaint contains an Evergreen International Airlines livery. The particular aircraft included is the one with registration number N130EV. This particular aircraft, USAF serial 64-0552 (c/n 382-4047), was built for the USAF in 1965 and immediately converted into a WC-130E. In 1999 it was acquired by Evergreen International Airlines and registered N130EV (this repaint). The aircraft was purchased by Sabena Technics in 2007 as a replacement for the C130 (CH-02) lost in a hangar fire on Brussels Airport on May, 5th, 2006. Sabena technics converted the aircraft to the Belgian C-130H state, and it now serves as CH-13 with the Belgian Air Component. Repaint by Lars Domen

Fairey Albacore V1.0
The Fairey Albacore was a British single-engine carrier-borne biplane torpedo bomber built by Fairey Aviation between 1939 and 1943 for the Fleet Air Arm and used during the Second World War. It had a three-man crew and was designed for spotting and reconnaissance as well as delivering bombs and torpedoes. The Albacore, popularly known as the "Applecore", was conceived as a replacement for the aging Fairey Swordfish, which had entered service in 1936. However, the Albacore served with the Swordfish and was retired before it, being replaced by the Fairey Barracuda and Grumman Avenger monoplane torpedo bombers. This Aircraft depicts Fairey Albacore N4389, 827 Naval Air Squadron, HMS Victorious. Shot down during raid on Kirkenes, July 1941. Salvaged, rebuilt and now on display in the FAA Museum

This airport update was made with the latest version of ADE (Airport Design Editor) and made for FSX as a replacement for the stock (default) airport. I found that most stock airports in FSX lack a decent amount of character and realism and I've tried to fix that a little bit. This airport in particular had no commercial aircraft parking at all. I have also added the missing main terminal building with gates including the two jetways the real CYQT has. A number of spots for general aviation aircraft has also been added. A few small touches like cars in the parking lot and some birds near the airport were added as well.
I hope to do a few more of these as time permits, hope you enjoy!

This airport update was made with the latest version of ADE (Airport Design Editor) and made for FSX as a replacement for the stock (default) airport. I've made several changes to the airport which are listed below. All these enchancements are as close to the real airport as I can get with stock library objects. I've used satellite images, terminal photos and maps throughout the whole process so building locations are as accurate as possible. Happy landings in scenic Alberta!
