File Description:
This archive contains an image import file containing thumbnails - or Image Files for use with Library Object Manager (LOM)- Version 1.0+ Program to manage FS9 Library Objects and Create Scenery by ScruffyDuck Software, Jon Masterson. This is an image collection of 49 ships representing port facility vessels, tankers, container ships and other commercially used ships - Requires LOM (available on this site) and EZ Scenery Library ez_gmax_ships_library.zip also available on this site. Also included is a set of higher resolution screenshots to upgrade those images imported into LOM. Higher resolution screenshots are suitable for printing an index or contact sheet of images. | NEW Realistic HUD for the FSX F/A-18 Hornet |

File Description:
A realistic head-up display (HUD) for the FSX Acceleration F/A-18 Hornet. The HUD is an enhanced version of the original HUD for the F/A-18 by Scott Printz. The original functionality Scott built into it is preserved, and the following new features are added: 1) Precise ILS and TACAN navigation for aircraft carriers (including moving carriers) that allow carrier landings in low visibility and at night. 2) The HUD symbology is conformal to the outside world: The horizon bar stays on the horizon, velocity vector shows actual flight path as read against the outside world (if you keep your vector pointed at a certain spot on the runway, this is exactly where you will land). 3) Caged mode with ghost vector for use in heavy side wind conditions. 4) Elements repositioned to make the HUD look as close as possible to the real Hornet HUD. This download for FS9 contains Classic Ship files for use with the Classic Scenery for Boston Logan International (KBOS) and Oslo Fornebu (ENFB) airports available from Tom Gibson's California Classics website: http://www.calclassic.com
You will need to have installed the truly excellent Classic Ships Library created by Mike Stevens, which is part of Wolfgang Gersch's Classic Scenery Libraries; this is available here and there is a link to it on the California Classics scenery page. The technique used to place the ships and their wakes is described in David 'Opa' Marshall's 'Add Animated Wakes to Static Ships - An Illustrated Tutorial', which is also available here, and which inspired the present download.
