| RwyInfo 2 Data Update Version 2 |
|
File Description:
The purpose of this download is to allow you to update the data used by Ernie Alston's Runway Info gauge (RwyInfo version 2.0, available from http://www.fsbuild.com/rwyinfo/). This is an excellent little gauge that allows you to retrieve, through a gauge on your panel, information for all the runways at an airport (selected by ICAO code), and optionally automatically load frequency and course for an ILS into your NAV1 radio and MCP. However the usefulness of the gauge is somewhat restricted by the fact that it comes with a text database of 'info' to be displayed, and does not include any method for updating this info. This is Version 2 of this utility - the first version was uploaded a couple of weeks ago. The first version is not required to use this version. This version fixes some problems with the display of new airports and runs much faster than the original version.

| Battery Life Extender |
|
File Description:
UPDATED File (Seems many aircraft lost some circuits with the original settings), my greatest apologies to any who downloaded the original file...
Files to extend battery life greatly without the use of FSUIPC. Includes a digital voltage gauge in XML format, a file to allow the sim to start with a 'cold/dead' cockpit and instructions on how to install on your aircraft. Also included is a replacement panel.cfg for the default c172 with the voltaqe gauge installed as an example of how to install it and how it looks in a panel (use of the gauge file itself assumes knowledge of panel.cfg editing, the battery life fix itself does not NEED the gauge to work and is easily installed by anyone who understands the basics of and has edited aircraft.cfg files). A few other general tips and alternate methods to have a working low voltage indicator or a 'everlasting battery' are included with full explanations of the modifications in the file README.txt

| Satellite Assisted Landing System Version 9 |
|
File Description:
FS2004 Gauge: Satellite Assisted Landing System, v9 (SALS). Using satellite data, this gauge provides glidepath/glideslope guidance into all runways inside the FS world. Approach heading and glideslope indicators are displayed during the landing phase in a fashion similar to those used with ILS and requires the same piloting techniques to keep the needles centered. Because SALS has the ability to guide an aircraft to both ends of a runway, every airport including grass strips and seaplane bases can be accessed with a high level of landing precision. In case of missed approaches, backcourse guidance is provided during climbout. Panel or separate window installation. Includes SALS icon gauge and Word doc with illustrated design parameters. | KD-RDF Radio Direction Finder |
|
File Description:
ADF navigation was preceeded by LF receivers with manually swung directional loop antennas. They provided essentially the same information, but required more operator intervention, and had an 180 degree ambiguity as well. This gauge comprises a loop navigation system simulating the manually swung loops of the 1930's. It includes the gauges and documentation to replace the ADF with a simulated manually steered loop antenna for those who may wish to simulate the very early Radio Navigation flights. This gauge can be used in conjunction with the Radio Range add-on. While designed for the DC-3, this gauge can be used with any aircraft from the 1930s era.

| Ice Gauge for FSX as Pop Up Window |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is the Pop Up Window version for the "Ice Gauge for FSX and FS9" by Charles Owen, and with updated graphic. This allows the gauge to be used with any aircraft. Typical use would be to place the pop up on a second monitor, or it can be resized to fit out of the way on your main monitor.
This gauge is provided as a way of making winter flying in the sim a little more realistic. This Pop Up version is intended for FSX, but may also work with FS9 (untested).
