PIK2004 Download

File Description:
FS2004 - (Glasgow)Prestwick International Airport. This whole package is intended to compliment the comprehensive scenery for Scotland provided by the Scotflight Commercial Product, whilst at the same time being fully compatible with default scenery also. This Fs2004 only compatible scenery gives highly detailed scenery for Prestwick Airport and it's immediate surrounds. Prestwick Airport is a hub for the low-cost carrier Ryanair providing flights to many European destinations. Other holiday charter flights operate from the airport and there is a busy cargo terminal. Also adjacent to the airfield is the BAE Systems factory ( formerly Scottish Aviation) and extensive detailed scenery for this site is included. The ground elements of the scenery are drawn with Lee Swordy's excellent Afcad program. The same file also adds AI traffic and accurately placed gates and parking spots. Included is the recently added FlightCentre, with AI traffic movements, the new Ryanair Service Hangar and new Business Park. All added buildings are custom made, many with photo-texturing. The scenery has taxiway signs, active wigwags and full night lighting and a few static aircraft, discreetly placed. A stretch of redrawn accurate coastline is included allowing the addition of the sandy beaches on the approach to Runway 13. The two renowned championship golf courses of Royal Troon and Old Prestwick also feature on the seaward approach plus further golf courses in the towns of Prestwick and Ayr. A local replacement road system covering the airport surrounds and the towns of Prestwick and Ayr is also included and this together with the replacement coastline should be compatible with any of the new Coastline and Roads products now available.

Elim ELI and Moses Point MOS in Alaska Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Elim is a coastal village 90 miles east of Nome, living from fishing and with a population of around 330. The airfield has a gravel runway 3,000 feet long. The majority of flights to and from the airfield originate in Nome, but there are also others to and from nearby fields such as Golovin, Unalakleet, Shaktoolik, and Koyuk. A further 7 miles or so east of Elim is another field called Moses Point MOS, which is included here and was an Army Airforce field before being transferred to the private ownership of the Elim Native Corporation. Until Elim ELI was established (date unknown, but after 1988) this served the village of Elim and although the runway is now unlit and not in very good condition (translate that as "full of potholes") it is stated that the longer runway can still be used if Elim is not adequate. However, the note is undated and there are no details of how often it is used or even if it is actually still currently in use. There is one hangar still in existence; all the rest has been demolished and (mostly) removed. A note here about my scenery making. This is post number 502 and there will not be many more to follow this as I am almost at the end of the photos I either took or found for scenery purposes. There is a limit to what can be located online and I have already been making use of the little there is; eg Unalakleet. So, if you are near an airport (preferably Canadian or Alaskan) and have a camera..... Let me know.

VVCR Cam Ranh Airport Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Cam Ranh is currently a fast-growing beauty spot and tourist area on the Vietnamese coast. In May 2004, Cam Ranh airport (VVCR) opened to commercial traffic, initially only serving domestic traffic but international flights will commence in 2005. The airport was once a massive US Air Force base, but was later used as a base for Russion spy plane activities. This scenery adds this "missing" airport to Flight Simulator, but much is based around satellite views of the airport when the US were spying on the Russian base and other historical information and it may not accurately reflect the airport as it is today. Furthermore, my capabilities at scenery design are limited and restricted to scenery objects available through the Rwy12 scenery creation programme. You do NOT need to download and install the full 45 MB Rwy 12 Object Placer programme, which is for the designers and not the end user. Some of the scenery objects will appear without any extra downloads, but to get the greatest benefit from this scenery, you may optionally download following files, which should be installed according to the instructions within this download and not as described in their own download archive: Level 2 objects rwy12-lvl2.zip (Israel Roth and Seev Kahn/John Hinson), Level 3 objects jw_rwy12.zip (Shehryar Ansari), tl_rwy12.zip (Todd Lucas) , ford_transit_collection.zip (S Legg), hgrrwy12.zip (ESDG), and ga-hangers_lib_for_rwy12.zip (S Legg) Also included with this scenery are two EditVoicepack files which may be imported to that programme so that the controllers will be heard referring to "Cam Ranh". Flightplan Visualizer 1.8 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Flightplan Visualizer (FV) version 1.8.0. Copyright 2018 by Pelle F. S. Liljendal ([email protected]), all rights reserved. FV comes with 300 Commercial-, and +380 BizJet AI pre-imported flightplans which the creators of those flightplans have gracefully allowed me to include with the installer, however you are able to import additional (AI) flightplans if you want to. Once imported these (AI) flightplans can be visualized on a map-view, and the user will be able to search accross all these. Hence you can use the program as inspiration as to which routes to fly. E.g. you can search across all imported flightplans to find all flights in an A321 flying into/out from LDDU, or simply to look for all flights in a Boeing 747-8F. Simply run the included installer to install the software. The program will be installed into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Flightplan Visualizer" and all datafiles will be installed into: "C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\FlightplanVisualizer". The program comes with a full manual explaining everything, and a 2 page quick manual to get you started. The first 3 times you run the program the quick manual will automatically open. Lacking a “proper forum” I have - for now - setup a Facebook group for support. This group is called “Flightplan Visualizer”, and you can seek membership via this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/FlightplanVisualizer/ If you are installing this version on top of a version prior to 1.7 the program will start slower than ususal and display a lot of warnings. This is because it fileformat of the pre-imported flightplans was changed between version 1.6 and 1.7, so starting version 1.8 it will update all flightplans (and in the progress it will display all those warnings). The next time you start FV you will no longer see this warnings as all flightplans will have become updated. Pelle

P-51D Mustang "Frenesi" (N357FG) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint for the payware Warbirdsim P-51D "Mustang Tales" product. This repaint depicts the latest Mustang restoration to emerge from Midwest Aero Restorations, completely stock, which just had its first test flight from Danville, Illinois on January 30th. The aircraft is F-6K 44-12852 (restored as a P-51D), owned/operated by Dan Friedkin/Comanche Fighters, based in Texas. Sold surplus immediately following WWII, registered as NX66111, the aircraft was entered into the 1946 Cleveland Air Races as racer #80 "Full House", but its engine blew and was forced to crash-land. Later, the aircraft was sold to Jack Hardwick in the early 50's and crudely rebuilt, with a jump seat and rudimentary dual controls installed in the back of the cockpit, and would soon be sold onto the Dominican Air Force in 1954, becoming FAD 1900 (#2). The aircraft served with the Dominican AF until it was sold and imported back into the US by Brian O'Farrell in 1984. Made serviceable, the aircraft flew again on the US register as N21023 by 1990, and was sold to Jim Beasley Sr. and later owned/operated by Jim Beasley Jr., of Coatesville, PA (sharing hangar space with their P-51D "Bald Eagle"). During this time the aircraft was painted as "Frenesi", the personal mount of WWII 357th Fighter Group ace Gen. Tommy Hayes (the name inspired from a 1940 Artie Shaw tune). By the early 2000's, showing the effects of poor-quality work done on repairing/restoring the aircraft in the past, a complete rebuild of the airframe began. By 2009, the project was sold to Dan Friedkin, now registered as N357FG, and the restoration was continued at Midwest Aero Restorations, known for their award-winning authentic Mustang rebuilds. The aircraft has now emerged in early 2017, resplendent and flying again in the markings of "Frenesi".

Black Cat PBY5/5A Download

File Description:
X-Plane 6.40 The PBY Catalina is probably the best known flying boat with over 4000 produced by Consolidated aircraft and licensees. The Black Cat squadrons all done in flat black played havoc particularly for the Japanese in the Pacific in WWII. Fitted with radar, with a 15 hour endurance and 2800 mile range they hunted Japanese naval ships and bombed or torpedoed them by the hundreds. This a fairly accurate rendition of the PBY except that the retractable pontoons are missing. Why? Well basically after using all the tricks I know I ran out of parts. There are 6 engine nacelles used in the model, 2 represent the 1200 HP radial engines driving the props, the others are jets with 5 lbs of thrust, 1 is used for the rear fuselage section, 1 is used for the wing pylon, 1 is used for the flare from the fuselage to the vertical stabilizer and the last is used for the forward observation and gunner space. Two are not used. Wing sections are taken up by the main wing and the support spars so there you go. The fuel tanks are used for the side gunner pods since these can be decorated separately. The plane flies very well and is stable. Takeoffs from water are quite easy as long as you don't dip a wing tip (no floats remember). This aircraft model and the paint scheme is copyright by Robert App, January 2003. Feel free to alter the paint scheme and instrument panel as long as you give me credit for the original design. The Black Cat squadron logo used in the paint scheme is courtesy of http://www.daveswarbirds.com/blackcat/logos.htm and is from the VP-71 Black Cat squadron. E mail me with any good panels or paint schemes and I will give full credit if used.

Ballina, New South Wales, Australia (YBNA) Download

File Description:
A very attractive small airport approximately 120 nautical miles from Coffs Harbour and a slightly shorter distance to Grafton and Lismore. This makes a good stopover for hopping down the east coast of Australia. The airport handles around 11 flight a day from Sydney and is also a busy GA aiport. Airlines REX and Qantas link fly into Ballina. The size of the airport has allowed me to put in that extra detail which makes to terminal and surrounds very much "as in real life". Photographic textures are used throughout for the buildings and even the trees and shrubs are hand made macros from photographs at the airport. Thanks to the cooperation of Northern Airline Services - Mr Bruce Beesley the MD and Graeme from Ballina Council the relative position of all of the buildings are exactly to scale as shown on scale drawings of the airport. AFCAD and Traffic Tools files are included to add extra AI traffic. For that reason and because of limited apron space no static planes have been used. In addition a landclass is included to make the airport ground texture resemble the real thing and also to widen the river behind runway 24. The scenery concentrates on adding a realistic terminal to the airport and hangars which are as close as possible to the real thing. Many other details have been added all authentically Ballina. The default runway detail remain unchanged with the exception of VASI placement. Other than that the airport merges into the default scenery without the usual "green oasis" effect. Full night lighting is included plus a rather dubious attempt to model the inside of the terminal (strictly not to be taken too seriously)
