RAF Skipton On Swale is a former Royal Air Force station operated by RAF Bomber Command during the Second World War.
The village of Sandhutton is located just to the east. RAF Skipton-on-Swale was a sub-station of RAF Leeming.
The airfield opened in autumn 1942, becoming operational in May 1943, originally a 4 Group facility and first hosted
420 Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), which moved to RAF Middleton St. George in October 1942. Skipton was
assigned to No. 6 Group, Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) in January 1943. RCAF squadrons stationed here included 424
Squadron, No. 432 Squadron (which moved to RAF East Moor in September 1943), and 433 Squadron. Both squadrons flew the
Halifax bomber until replaced by the Lancaster in January 1945. 424 Squadron lost 52 aircraft and 433 Squadron lost 38
aircraft.
When Nos. 424 and 433 Squadrons were disbanded in October 1945 the airfield was closed. The station was not used again
and has since reverted largely to farmland. The site is home to turkey and pig farms.

Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-23 Flogger (Part 6). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model and texture package for this classic (and still-serving) Russian multi-role fighter. The MiG-23, with just over 5,000 built, was Russia's first production of a true multi-role aircraft with a beyond-visual-range air superiority role as its primary function. The aircraft was arguably the direct counterpart of the F-4 Phantom, although it carried about half of the ordnance load. Nevertheless, in capable hands and late versions, the Flogger has been and is a very potent adversary; having served in multiple conflicts in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. The MiG-23 entered service in 1970, was eventually operated by 43 countries, and is still in service in 14 of them. An original 8-LOD model brings this aircraft to the flightsim world. This package contains the MiG-23U/UB two-seat variant; with 4 models and 61 repaints. Original aircraft model, afterburner effects, flight dynamics, and textures by Michael Pearson. BF 109 E3 Legion Condor 6x123 Oblt.Hans Shmollder-Haldy, 3.J/88, Spain 1938. Hans Schmoller-Haldy was sent to Spain just at the end of the war, so it is no surprise he did not score any victory there. His Messerschmitt sported a personal emblem – the overflowing beer glass with the letters 'CP' on it. They stand for Cardinal Puff and refer to the famous beer drinking game originating in the USA during prohibition. It seems likely Schmoller-Haldy was a great fan of both beer and the game... During the Second World War, he served with JG 54 and recorded 14 aerial victories. Later, he served as a member of Galland´s fighter command staff. After the war, Schmoller-Haldy entered service with the post war Bundesluftwaffe with the rank of Brigadier General. TEXTURES only. Repaint for the Shockwave (A2) Messerschmitt BF 109 for FSX. The aircraft works without issues in P3D. Just copy aircraft the installation folder from FSX to the P3D Simobjects folder.

This is a repaint of the great ISDT ATR 42-300 V2 in the Fictional livery of the real world airline Hawaiian Air. Hawaiian Air has been providing services to the islands of Hawai since 1929 in one form or another and is still a well patronized airline. The plane has been tested in FS9 ONLY and works well. Should you wish to try installing this plane (made for FS9) into FSX, you do so at your own risk. The package comes complete with a custom panel by Antonio Bucoli which provides the needed gauges and sounds for this plane. Both the Gauge and Sound files are included together with install instructions. The panel is already apart of the plane. Installation, Distribution Limitations and my contact can be found in the ReadMe File. Be aware that there are 3 ReadMe files and ALL of them should be read. Please note, if you look at the attahed pictures and see the nose doors are white, do not fret - they are actually the blue of the fuselage in the textures.

This is a scenery upgrade for Frazier Lake, California (1C9). This is part Eight of a series of small airstrip and minor airfield scenery enhancements which are based on real world data from Google Earth. The scenery mainly reflects the appearance of the airpark from directly above. If you are familiar with the place when on the ground, due to the limited number of buildings available it probably looks quite different. There is now however, a water strip for float planes which was missing from the default. It is proper FS9 water so you may land on it. Also, a few images from the net show that the ground varies from green grass to bare earth so I have made four .bgl files for the base texture. Note, I am using Flight1 Ground Environment; the default fields will look different. You must have rwy12 and EZ scenery libraries installed for the buildings to show. Both libraries of objects are free. EZ Library is available at http://www.abacuspub.com/pub/AbacusEZLibraries.exe. Rwy12 and additional EZ Custom libraries from Avsim. Search under Scenery design.

This is a scenery upgrade for Funny Farm Airport, Brentwood, California (4CA2) (Why Funny Farm?) This is part Nine of a series of small airstrip and minor airfield scenery enhancements which are based on real world data from Google Earth. The scenery mainly reflects the appearance of the airpark from directly above, so if you are familiar with the place then on the ground it probably looks quite different, due to the limited number of buildings available. This scenery includes the Private lake and dwellings to the southwest of the airstrip proper plus extensive landclass alterations to make the small paddocks in the same area. This is a tough place to land neatly in anything past a C172 in calm weather; the runway is only 20 feet wide! Built using EZ_Scenery, Lee Swordy's AFCAD and SBuilder. You must have rwy12 and EZ scenery libraries installed for the buildings to show. Both libraries of objects are free: EZ Library is available from http://www.abacuspub.com/pub/AbacusEZLibraries.exe and rwy12 and additional EZ Custom libraries from Avsim. Search under Scenery design.

All the MSF missions consist of several episodes. The present mission here is the episode n°8. It is obvious that the next episode will be the logical result of this present adventure, and so on for the following episodes.
The story of this episode n°8 begins at the airport of KIGALI and ends at the airport of GOMA. We will not resist the pleasure of flying over a famous volcano, which will force us to a small diversion before landing in GOMA. Length of this mission 48 minutes.
The briefing of departure is voluntarily very short, you will find no indication for the realization of the episode, simply the description of the context there of departure. All the indications to realize the episode will be given to you by sound files. In other words, it will be necessary to you to be very attentive to the diverse dialogues, in French, sorry, which you will hear. I will try to create an English version later.

Italian Air Force Lockheed F-104 Starfighter (Part 2), aka the Zipper, Coffin Nail, Widowmaker, Flying Coffin, or Missile with a Man in It; in untrained hands it resembles a lawn dart, as nicknamed by the Canadians. I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this hotrod of military jet history. Going into production in 1955, this aircraft was manufactured, directly or by license, by 6 countries, and served the air forces of 17 countries. Late examples served until 2004, nearly fifty years after its introduction. An original 7-LOD model brings this historic aircraft to the flightsim world. This 2-part package represents the Lockheed F-104 in the service of the Italian Air Force; with a total of 40 models and 164 repaints. Aircraft models covered are the F-104G, RF-104G, TF-104G, F-104S (both fighter-bomber and air superiority variants), and the F-104ASA. I am also including some optional variants with separate manual install instructions. Original aircraft model and textures by Michael Pearson, flight dynamics by Michael MacIntyre.
