| Yamamoto Shootdown by Lockheed P-38G with AI Aircraft and Scenery |

Re-Upload. This package provides a new P-38G modified specifically for recreating the mission that resulted in the interception and shootdown of Admiral Yamamoto over Bougainville Island in 1943 in accord with available documentation (links provided). The panel, mixture controls, capacity of the external tanks and the flight dynamics have been tailored to provide accurate power settings and performance to closely match the historical flight. Included are detailed documentation of the new aircraft, and the P-38 fuel settings used by the Army Air Corps before Charles Lindbergh suggested a "correction" in 1944 which greatly improved cruise fuel efficiency. To add to the realism, also included are AI aircraft (Zeros, Bettys, SBDs and C-47s) from CFS2.
New airports, scenery, and extensive scenario documentation to help the simulator pilot successfully "intercept" and "shoot down" the Admiral's Mitsubishi G4M 'Betty' are provided by experienced real world fighter pilot and Adversary Instructor Jim Daigneau, who also provided overall technical support and mission testing.
David C. Copley's outstanding P-38G has been modified as described above and is included, with his permission.

File Description:
This is the 3rd Airport in a series of new ILS runways. As most know initiating the ILS at certain airports for AI Traffic is not a function at this time when using AFCAD2. If you add a new ILS runway to an airport such as KMCO (Orlando International Airport 17L/35R) only the user aircraft can use this runway when visibility falls below 3 miles. ATC will no longer use this runway for AI Traffic because FS9 sees it as a visual runway. This will cause ATC to vector your AI Traffic back to 17/35 (old numbers) 17R/35L (new numbers) which is also a Terminal departure runway. This file adds all NAVAIDS for making 17L/35R a Precision Instrument Runway. I have added all the radar fixes for both the ILS approach portion and the proper missed approach procedures, altitudes and intersections as per current published plates. All AI Aircraft will now continue to use 17L/35R when Airport visual conditions are less than 3 miles.

Joshua Buckhorn is getting ready for his trip into the Canadian Wester Fur Route. As a trader of furs and FBO owner things up here in North Washington
are hard in this year of 1949. Just 5 years ago he was flying a huge B-17 over Germany. Now a new life has brought him into the dangers on Bush Flying.
As always before these flights, new oil and spark plugs must be placed in the plane, tyres must be just right and the fuel tanks got to be full to the top.
It is 5:45 AM and a big breakfast is a must before the flight, eggs, grits, potatoes, ham, bacon and NO beans since the gas they produce will disrupt the fligh. And don´t forget the "P" Bottle.----I hope you know how to balance a plane with all those furs and hides you will acquire in this trip full of danger in approaches and take offs from, indeed, very dangerous fields. ( Bonus you get 4 new airports for future flights if the business pays off)..:)

This will cause ATC to vector all your AI Traffic back to runway 7/25 old numbers, 7L/25R new numbers which is also a Terminal departure runway. This ILS bgl file adds all NAVAIDS for making 7R/25L a Precision Instrument Runway by adding all the radar fixes for both the ILS approach portion and the missed approach procedures, altitudes and intersections as per current published plates. All AI Aircraft/User Planes will now continue to use the new 7R/25L runway when Airport weather conditions are less than 3 miles. ATC will also use the right naming/numbers of the runways. The DME/VOR approaches have also been written using the new BCN/PRA VOR's for runways 7L/25R and 02. Many different default FS9 scenery GUID's added including Taxiway Signs *** FS2004 Default Scenery AFCAD2 included with the new 7R/25L runway ***
