Alpha Air "TWA Express 1995" Beechcraft 1900C

File Description:
Alpha Air was an independent LAX based commuter airline who began operating as a Trans World Express(TWE) carrier in the mid 90s. With a fleet of 3 B1900Cs, in a mix of TWE and Alpha Air liveries, the B1900s did a combination of flying to resort cities like Mammoth Lakes, South Lake Tahoe, and the Grand Canyon and commuter flying between SoCal airports like BUR, SNA, and PSP with the route network stretching as far East as Phoenix. Between 1994 and 1995, most of the commuter routes(all except LAX-PSP-PHX) were dropped in favor of adding flights between TVL and SFO several times daily, GCN was also dropped around this time. These plans combine 94/95 to represent all routes flown in the mid-90s. Also included are textures for the full fleet with 3 variations of the HTAI B1900C.

File Description: Reducing FSX Traffic speed - an Illustrated tutorial One of the more "interesting" enhancements which Microsoft introduced in FSX is the vehicle traffic which can be seen on the highways around larger cities and airports. However many simmers feel the speed at which these vehicles travel is considerably too fast and therefore quite unrealistic. One simmer has even commented that he cannot overtake many vehicles when flying low and slow in the default Cessna. It is quite easy to edit the speeds of such vehicles and the process has been documented in at least one forum post. However I thought it might be useful - especially for those not accustomed to working with command line interfaces - to have a tutorial available which illustrates each step. Compiled in .DOC and .PDF formats for your flying enjoyment by David "Opa" Marshall.

Charles Darwin Voyage of the Beagle

File Description:
On 27th of December, 1831 Charles Robert Darwin, born 1809, sailed from Devonport, England for a five-year voyage around the world on HMS Beagle and returned almost five years later on 2nd of October 1836. On 27th of December 1931 our journey begins in Devonport, near Plymouth in the Imperial Airways' Short S30 LR "Cabot" flying boat to follow this example. Since Charles Darwin also made many in-land journeys on the South American and Australian continents, the flying boat would be unpractical; instead we use the FS2004 default DC-3 for our continental VFR flights. Download and install Jens B. Kristensen's EMPIRE20.ZIP. The stage Cape Verde to Brazil requires Alexander Belov's scenery "Aeropostale Transatlantique" (A_ATLANT.ZIP). Also strongly recommended is Toni Agramont's sceneries ARGNTINA.ZIP plus CHILE_NO.ZIP plus CHILE_SO.ZIP.

Koorbygen Lite

File Description:
Koorbygen Lite is a replacement set of autogen buildings for FS2004 in the North America region. It features incredibly realistic building textures taken from real photos, with many subtle details which adds tremendous realism to flying below 500FT AGL. You've never seen autogen as detailed as this in Flight Simulator before!
