Textures Only for Mike Stone's DHC-4 Caribou. As unreal as it gets. These textures are reworked from my original Air America Caribou repaint to get rid of the streaky brown effect. The result may not look as shiney like natural metal, but at least it's not brown. Milton Caniff based the post-war exploits of Terry Lee and his cohorts in the comic strip Terry & The Pirates on the real organization and personnel of Air America. This repaint is based on my authentic Air America DHC-4 Caribou repaint. These textures will work with either the radar-nosed C-7 or the blunt-nosed DHC-4 version of the Caribou model. cfs2/Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat Mk-I RAF A-W Serial #JV-105. Fleet Air Arm. Painted over The B24 Guy's F6F-3 Overhaul Model. Note black and white invasion stripes on fuselage and upper and lower main wing surfaces. Code letters are red, outlined in white. This paint is indicative to the aircraft of the 800 NAS flown from the HMS Emperor in 1944; however, there is no data to back up any authenticity of any aircraft ever adorned in this paint. Treat skin this as "eye candy," and fly it accordingly. Complete Texture Folder with all texture and damage files included. By revev. Enjoy!

File Description:
F8F for x-plane v6.7 - With its 2250 + HP engine it requires a lot of skill to just get this bird into the air. The F8F bearcat was the last propeller fighter aircraft made by grumman. Deployed very late in the war, the first squadron of bearcats were on their way to japan when WWII ended. Although they never saw service in WWI they were used in Korea. At least 24 US Navy squadrons flew the Bearcat, some until as late as 1952. With a maximum speed of 421 mph it was one of the fastest aircraft of WWII. Place the Weapons files in the Weapons folder.

Re-upload. cfs2/Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat UPDATE for the VF-27 repaints by revev for The B24 Guy's F6F-3 Overhaul Model. This update contains the b.bmp, d.bmp, r.bmp, and t.bmp texture files for the VF-27's #3, #13, #17, and #23 Texture Folders, as well as the wing insignia file. These texture files are for the repaints by revev for the Overhauled Model F6F-3 Hellcat by The B24 Guy. These texture files display the tiger teeth on the front of the aircraft in addition to the tiger teeth that were displayed on the side of the nose in the original repaints by revev. By revev. Enjoy!

File Description:
cfs2/Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat Minsi III CVG-15, BuNo. 70143, USS Essex, October 25, 1944. Painted over The B24 Guy's F6F-3 Overhauled Model. Pilot: Commander David McCampbell. As commander of Air Group 15, McCampbell was able to fly his assigned aircraft on almost every mission. Minsi III lasted longer than any of his other Minsis. In December of 1944, this plane was lost in an accident while being flown by McCampbell's replacement.This was probably the best known of all the Hellcats, as McCampbell made 20 of his 34 kills in the Minsi III. File Description:
This is repaint of TBF-1C avenger #3 of VT-4 during 1943-44 operations. TBM-1C #3 assigned to VT-4 aboard the USS Ranger(CV-4). Piloted by Lt(jg) Lawrence L. Hamrick who later became CO of VT-4. VT-4 participated several action in Europe, Anti-Sub mission, 'Operation Torch' and 'Operation Leader' under British Home Fleet (Naval attack on Axis fleet anchored at Bodo, Norway; 1943). The scheme represents 1943 European theater colors. You'll need MAAM-sim TBM/TBF Avenger to use this repaint.

File Description:
Textures for the FSX default Bell 206B. These represent five TH-57C Sea Rangers, the training variants of the Bell 206B used by the US Navy, US Marine Corps and UC Coast Guard. 119 TH-57 were delivered and are assigned to Helicopter Training Squadrons Eight (HT-8) and Eighteen (HT-18), both part of Training Air Wing Five (TAW-5) at NAS Whiting Field, Milton, Florida. Three textures are NAVY Sea Rangers and two are MARINES Sea Rangers. One texture, MARINES 80, represents the aircraft assigned to the Commanding Officer of HT-8. I initially created a Sea Ranger texture for practicing landing on small ships (especially warships). I then created a further four textures for Multiplayer flying and missions, such as formation flying.

A6E TRAM Intruder V.1.0 for X-plane 6.40 Copyright (c) November 2002 by Robert App. Some would say not the prettiest plane in the world but a deadly part of the US carrier task force, proven both in Vietnam and the Gulf War. Built by Grumman, the TRAM is a version of the A6E released in the late 1970's with improved laser guided weapons delivery, enhanced computers and an automatic carrier landing capability. The attached information gives the complete history of the plane and its various derivatives since first delivered to the Navy in February 1963. Version 1 is missing folding wings and fuel probe which will be fixed in a future update.

The new generation "Cat" provided the 800 Squadron aircrews with a superior air carrier fighter. The HMS Emperor was to become the eyes of the admiralty in flying strike aircover and artillary spotting thtoughout Operations Overlord and Dragoon. Painted over The B24 Guy's F6F-3 Overhaul Model. Note black and white invasion stripes on fuselage and upper and lower main wing surfaces. Code letters are red, outlined in white. Complete Texture Folder with all texture and damage files included.
