revised FDE with landing lights
This package contains revised aircraft.cfg and air files.
I've modified the contact points for the hull and nose gear and retractable landing lights
The contact points for the landing lights were omitted in previous uploads.
The lights are tied to the water rudder (Shift+W). It has been 5 years since version 2.0 was released.
Fortunately, I kept copies of my correspondence with Greg Pepper, which had the information for the missing contact points. They are now included.
My apologies for the error. This should finish matters for version 2.1
Instructions
unzip this file into the Grumman Albatross G64 section of your FS9 Aircraft folder.
overwrite the existing aircraft.cfg and HU16.air files with the files in this package.

File Description:
The repaint for Grumman F3F-2 "Flying Barrel" of Aeroplane Heaven. This skin represents F3F-2 with reg. 2-MF-10 US Marine Corps, No.0979, VMF-2 squadron, Cpt.Carson A.Roberts, 1940. The repaint included: more weathering effects and it's more dirty than "stock" model, new basic textures with new alpha channel textures and specular maps textures, new pin-up girl, ect.Textures only. You need to have F3F-2 from Aeroplane Heaven (the skin was tested with v1.1). Enjoy!

A test bed Tomcat of Dryden, NASA's "991" was designated the F-14 (1X) and operated between 1979 and 1985 in extensive high-angle-of-attack and spin-control-and-recovery tests. This repaint was designed for use with the payware IRIS Pro Series F-14 Tomcat. I hope you like this nod to some of NASA's test history!

File Description:
The repaint for Grumman F3F-2 "Flying Barrel" of Aeroplane Heaven. This skin represents F3F-2 with reg. 6-F-4 US Navy, No.0983, VF-6 squadron, stationed on the deck of CV-6 USS "Enterprise". This airplane was used in "Dive Bomber" the movie from 1941 too. | Grumman J4F-1 Widgeon Weathered U.S. Navy |

File Description:
These files consist of textures ONLY. You will require the Grumman Widgeon "Fast Eddie's", filename: FastEddie.zip in order to use these textures. My thanks and appreciation go out to Harry Follas for his kind permission to work with and re-issue these files. I can take no credit for the creation of this texture. All I have done is made new texture files in a 32-bit 888-8 format so that they be used with the "Fast Eddie's" model. Enjoy! Heather.

| Grumman JRF-1 Goose - A Green Marine |

File Description:
This file consists of textures only for Mike Stone's Grumman G-21 Goose, available on this website. This JRF-1 was assigned to Marine Air Wing Two. It wears an experimental green camouflage applied to a handful of aircraft in for a brief period late 1941. This is an authentic livery, but I can't vouch for the accuracy of the exact shade of green. I believe it's pretty close.

| Grumman F3F-1 VF-4M Section Leaders |

File Description:
Marine Fighting Four (VF-4M) received six F3F-1s before it became VMF-2 and re-equipped with a full compliment of F3F-2s. This archive contains textures for both of the section leaders' aircraft. These aircraft show the pre-1937 style of Marine aircraft markings, with the mission letter in a circle. This model actually replicates a later F2F-2, but it's the only F3F available for FS2002. Requires Paul Clawson's Grumman F3F, available on this website. Repaint by Mick Morrissey. Thanks to Paul Clawson for releasing this classic carrier fighter. A special tip of the flying helmet to sim pilot and ex-Marine Heather Sherman, who gave me the tools and knowledge to work with extended bitmaps.

| Streamlined panel for Grumman Goose G-21 |

File Description:
This panel streamlines the cockpit and virtual cockpit (VC) views in Lynn and Bill Lyons' Grumman Goose G-21 (cc9g21f2.zip). Why mess with perfection, you might ask? I like the Goose a lot: it's elegant, versatile, and has great views for VFR sightseeing. But on my system, the virtual cockpit's a bit sluggish. There's nothing wrong here with the airplane: it's just what happens when you try to run a complex piece of software on old hardware. Rather than give up, I decided to reduce the number of gauge objects, first in the cockpit (which I don't use very much anyway) and then in the virtual cockpit (which is where you should be flying this great old bird anyway). I also eliminated some of the hotspots. With fewer gauge objects, there are more system resources left over for the sim. The result, on my system, is smoother flying. While I was at it, I also replaced the magnetic compass with a VOR gauge. I know that's unrealistic, but that's what I did.

| Norn Iron Airways Grumman Goose 'Pondskimmer 2' |

File Description:
Repaint of FSX Goose in the colors of Norn Iron Airways, a small virtual airline based at George Best Belfast City Airport in Northern Ireland. As we have quite a lot of water here, the goose is a natural choice for a watertaxi, for anglers, golfers etc.
Thanks to Ray Manson's 'Cutters Goose' which was the inspiration for our repaint.
