File Description:
Nelson Lagoon is on the Alaska Peninsula (located 500 miles from Anchorage), far beyond the areas typically reached by traveling anglers. The village has about 60 year-round residents (80 percent Alaskan natives, the majority Aleut) in 25 households. Nelson Lagoon is only accessible by boat or plane.
Changes were made based on 2000 construction plans and photos. Runway length was increased from 4,003 feet to 5,085 feet and surface changed to asphalt.

File Description:
Atka Airport (IATA: AKB, ICAO: PAAK, FAA LID: AKA, formerly 40A) is a state owned, public use airport located two nautical miles (4 km) north of the central business district of Atka, a city on Atka Island. Scheduled commercial airline passenger service is subsidized by the Essential Air Service program.
Changes are based on 2007 construction plans. Length of Runway `6/34 was increased to 5,000 feet and width to 100 feet.Moved and increased size of parking area.REIL lights placed.

This is the airport in the program "Life Below Zero". Susan Aikens, manager of the camp, sent a recent photo and that is what was used to create the airport.
One of the most remote camps in Alaska. Near the Arctic Refuge and Ocean, Kavik is an old exploration camp that has been revived as an eco-tourism camp. special skills & experience: Arctic survival, remote bush flying, dog sledding, guiding. Susan lives 500 miles from the nearest city and over 100 miles from the nearest road. This camp and Susan are truly alone, remote and undisturbed. Perfect for filming and research.

This is a complete re-work of the airport based on the 2012 plans. Added runway 2R/20L. Created with Airport Design Editor by ScruffyDuck Software using current FAA documentation and Google Earth measurements, this package offers a replacement for FSX's stock airport. All these enhancements are as close to the real airport as I can get with stock library objects.

File Description:
Wasilla PAWS is in Alaska, some 27 miles northeast of Anchorage and 11 miles due north of Birchwood, on the northern side of the Knik Arm. It is, like Birchwood, a small version of Merrill Field for mostly GA aircraft and private hangars, with some maintenance shops. The town of Wasilla is shown in FS9 and is quite large. There are a bunch of private airfields within a ten mile radius and some of these will be posted in this series, as will some other larger airfields. The main runway is around 3,700 feet long, aligned 03-21 and asphalted and lit, as are the taxiways. Again, like Birchwood, there is also a shorter and parallel runway that is grass and which receives no winter maintenance, for winter use by planes that are on skis.

Chefornak Airport (IATA: CYF, ICAO: PACK, FAA LID: CFK) is a state-owned public-use airport in Chefornak,a city in the Bethel Census Area of the U.S. state of Alaska. The airport is on the Kinia River.
A new airstrip has been built further out from the village due to concerns with the current airstrip being near the school and pedestrian traffic, however, the runway must settle for several years before it is ready to be used. A new runway designated 5/23 was added.

Bethel Airport is a state owned, public use airport located three nautical miles (6 km) southwest of the central business district of Bethel.
Construction began September 21, 1941, and the airfield was activated July 4, 1942; it is also known as Bethel Air Base. It was used by Air Transport Command as auxiliary airfield for Lend-Lease aircraft being flown to Siberia. The facility was transferred to Eleventh Air Force, then to Alaskan Air Command in 1945; it became the joint-use Bethel Airport. It was used for construction of AC&W Bethel Air Force Station in mid 1950s. Full jurisdiction was turned over to Alaska Government in 1958.
Added and adjusted aprons and buildings. Also added additional parking. Added runway 1R/19L.Re-numbered runways to conform with AirNav data.
Created with Airport Design Editor 9x by ScruffyDuck Software using current FAA documentation and Google Earth measurements, this package offers a replacement for FSX's stock airport. I am very proud to present this detailed repaint of PMDG's Beechcraft B1900D in the fabulous red, black and white livery of Era Alaska, registration N972EA. Era Alaska, formed in 2009 and based in Anchorage (PANC), is the combination of Era Aviation, Hageland Aviation and Frontier Flying Service. Era provides cargo service as well as scheduled passenger service and flies a fleet of 3 B1900D's, using them along with the Dash-8-100 as workhorses for passenger destinations throughout Alaska. This is a very detailed and realistic repaint. The inside of the winglets have the Era logo, fuse and tail stripes are as accurate as I could get them, the wings have the red stripe and black band on the top and bottom, the fonts for the Era logo and FlyEra.com are the actual fonts used by Era, door markings are hand painted, interior seats and floor (carpet) are red as in the real aircraft, fuse shading is custom, tail shading is custom, tail logo is hand painted and the cap on fore part of the upper vstab is painted black. All repainted textures in this package are 32-bit with no mipmaps. I hope you enjoy flying this great aircraft around Alaska. This is a textures only package, you must own the payware PMDG B1900D to enjoy it.
