This folder contains a repaint for the Heinkel He-111 P2 by Aeroplane Heaven, in the colors of He 111-H6 HS-? as used by RAF No.260 Squadron in North Africa, december 1942. They found the abandoned aircraft Castel Beneto airfield near Tripoli, made it airworthy again and used it as a hack aircraft for squadron personnel. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aeroplane Heaven.

USAF operated several B-17s for Air Rescue Squadrons during WW2 and Korean War. 5th Rescue Squadron operated SB-17Gs during early part of Korean War. File Description:
This is a repaint of Alphasim's excellent F11F-1. These textures represent a F11F-1(141858) that was assigned to the VA-156 Squadron on board CVA-38, USS Shangri La in 1958. VA-156, which was a day-fighter unit despite its Attack designation, was the first Tiger squadron to complete carrier qualifications. THESE ARE TEXTURES ONLY! You need the ALPHASIM F11F Tiger FSX or FS9 payware package.

Canadair Sabre F.4 XB630 71 Sqn RAF Wildenrath/RAF Bruggen camouflaged. 71 squadron was originally stationed at RAF Wildenrath and later (together with 67 Sqn) moved to RAF Bruggen - already homebase of 112 and 130 Squadron - around 1956. Repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III Spitfire by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Martin Catney: Spitfire Mk IIa P7509 MN-N flew with No.350 (Belgian) Squadron between december 1941 and march 1942, when the squadron converted to Mk.V's. Previously, P7509 flew with No.308 (Polish) Sqn, and was used by Sgt. Zielinski to shoot down a Me109 near St.Omer on 12 july 1941.

This repaint depicts the VF-21 Freelancers CAG ("00") bird, circa 1994. The squadron was home in Japan preparing for their last deployment aboard USS Independence. The squadron was disesablished in 1996, ending 37 years of service. GONE, BUT NOT FORGOTTEN! My thanks to all the VF-21 aircrew, maintainers and families. These are textures only for the ALPHASIM FREEWARE F-84F Thunderstreak package.
This repaint represents Republic F-84F Thunderstreak S/N 51-1659 as it flew in the markings of the 389th Fighter Bomber Squadron (part of the 366th Fighter Bomber Wing at Alexandria AFB, Louisiana) in 1955.
The original plane is now beautifully restored in these striking squadron colors and resides at the Combat Air Museum, Topeka - Kansas.

| RAF Fiskerton |

File Description:
RAF Fiskerton was a Royal Air Force station located north of the Lincolnshire village of Fiskerton, 5.0 miles east of Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England
It was one of many new bomber airfields built in the early part of World War II. The airfield was situated north of the village from where it got its name. It was one of only 15 RAF airfield equipped with FIDO, a fog-clearing system utilizing petrol pumped through pipes alongside the main runway and burned via a sequence of nozzles.
No. 49 Squadron and No. 576 Squadron RAF were stationed at RAF Fiskerton. 49 squadron took part in the Peenemande raid on the research and development centre for the V2 missile. 576 Squadron took part in the raid on Hitler's hideout at Berchtesgaden and in Operation Manna.
Between 1962 and 1992 a Headquarters of the Royal Observer Corps was located within the airfield boundary.
