Papua New Guinea charts for FSMMM

File Description: Re-upload. What these are: calibration files for use with Rana Hossain's freeware program FSM Moving Map (FSMMM) and the PNG Charts hosted by the AVSIM file library. What these are not: the charts themselves. In order to use the charts, you will need to download three additional files, which are much larger than this one: png_charts_1.zip (35mb), png_charts_2.zip (35mb), and png_charts_3.zip (36mb). Why not package everything together? To minimize file size. The original image files, which are quite large, were uploaded to AVSIM and calibrated for the payware program FSMap by David Wilson-Okamura. Within a few days, downloaders started asking how to use the charts with the freeware program FSMMM. New charts (which are quite large to store and download) weren't needed, just new calibration files (which are quite small). These were created by TERRY CARR, who is the hero of this download. To use the charts with FSMMM, first download all four of the files listed here, including this one. You don't need to download FSMMM again if you already have that installed.) Unzip all of them into the folder where you keep your FSMMM charts. Then run FSMMM and use the mass import feature. If you don't know how to do that, please read the manual or, if that doesn't help, Google is your friend.

Fairchild C-82A Packet (Project Phoenix)

File Description:
First and foremost, this aircraft package is dedicated to the memory of the late Paul Mantz, a veteran stunt pilot who gave his life in the making of the 1965, 20th Century Fox movie, “Flight of the Phoenix” starring James Stewart and a strong cast of other well known actors. This package contains not only the C-82 Packet, but, as a special feature, “The Phoenix” as well. For those of you who have not seen this classic, you are missing a real jewel. It can still be obtained in VHS or DVD at www.amazon.com I highly recommend it. The C-82 comes in three paint schemes, U.S.A.F., Bush Flying Unlimited, and of course, Arabco Oil. The Phoenix is painted as it was in the movie. Both aircraft have excellent panels built by K. Mitchell and the C-82 possesses a very nice virtual cockpit on par with that found in the C-119; previously released. These are DXT-3 textures with no mip-maps to preserve image clarity. I chose this format in the attempt to maintain a minimal upload/download package size. I will be following up with individual texture replacement packages in 32-bit for those who wish them. I hope you enjoy this flightsim model as much as I did putting this package together. I could not have done so without the excellent help and work of Daisuke Yamamoto, Herb Morse, K. Here is my repaint for the amazing Captain Sim/Justflight C-130 Hercules. Dressed to represent a fictional (for now....) support vehicle to be used by StarChaser Industries Ltd, which started life as an experimental rocket test programme set up by Steve Bennett back in 1992. In 1996 the team successfully launched a 6 mtr (21 ft) rocket, Starchaser 2, which qualified as the largest private civilian rocket ever to be built and flown in Europe. Starchaser Industries was incorporated as a private limited company on 16th December 1998. The company transferred its manufacturing and rocket assembly arm to new premises in Hyde, Cheshire, United Kingdom in January 2001 where a dedicated team of people are currently employed. Beechcraft King Air C90A-B N5598L: Upgrade

File Description:
This is the first upgrade for the Beeckcraft King Air C90A-B N5598L. New Collins Proline II, Panel.cfg and Aircraft.cfg The Collins Proline II Navpack would be more real instead of using the Nav-Packs from Dragonflight Design. Of course the Panel-Design changed a little bit. For more realistics the OMI is no longer included in this panel like most of modern King Air´s C90A and C90B. In the Aircraft.cfg are some modifications: more performance because of using now the P&W PT 135-A and some other little changes.

EGXJ - RAF Cottesmore - Rutland, England

File Description:
RAF Cottesmore (ICAO EGXJ) is a former Royal Air Force station in Rutland, England, situated between Cottesmore and Market Overton.

The Stationed opened on 11 March 1938 and was used mainly for training, and the first squadrons were equipped with Vickers Wellesley aircraft, but soon converted to Fairey Battles. Later RAF Bomber Command took over the airfield, again as a training station, flying Handley Page Hampdens. These units remained in residence until a few days before the outbreak of war in 1939 when they were sent to RAF Cranfield to serve as a pool providing replacements for combat losses. Their place at Cottesmore was taken by Nos. 106 and 185 Squadrons, moving in from RAF Thornaby with Hampdens. However, with the outbreak of war, the aircraft and crews were sent to locations in the north and west, as enemy air attacks were expected over the southern half of England. As these never materialised, the Hampdens returned in the spring of 1940 and No. 185 Squadron became the Hampden operational training unit, No. 14 Operational Training Unit RAF.

RAF Cottesmore's Hampdens' first trespass into hostile airspace was a leaflet dropping operation over northern France. In October 1940, 106 Squadron moved to RAF Finningley while No. 14 OTU remained training crews for Bomber Command, its Hampdens and HP.53 Herefords being replaced by Vickers Wellingtons in 1942. Training continued for three years and three months until August 1943 when No. 14 OTU moved to RAF Market Harborough.

In early December 2009, it was announced the station would close due to funding cut-backs, in part to help pay for additional helicopters for British operations in Afghanistan.
In 2010, No. 4 Squadron RAF disbanded, with No. 20 Squadron RAF re-badging as No 4 (Reserve) Squadron.
The station became a satellite to RAF Wittering on 31 March 2011 with a civic parade and flypast to mark the disbandment of No 1 Sqn RAF, 800 NAS, 801 NAS and JFH.
In July 2011 Defence Secretary Liam Fox announced plans for it to be the airfield for one of five of the Army's Multi-Role Brigades. In April 2012 it was renamed Kendrew Barracks after Major General Sir Douglas Kendrew.
