Tips and Tricks - Part 6. A new collection of Tips and Tricks - several of which have been provided by readers of this series. This issue includes, amongst other things, a tip that may help you use FS2002 aircraft in FS2004, a flying "challenge" that is unique to say the least and several other recommendations that may be of interest. A bonus file is included also. My goal, as usual, is to provide something of value for simmers of all experience levels. | Reduced Volume FPDA Altitude Callouts |

File Description:
Reduced Volume FPDA Altitude Callouts. This is a set of altitude callouts (400 to 10 feet) which have been re-recorded at 10 decibels less than the original callout .wav files. They are designed to be used with altitude_callout.zip which is available here at Avsim.com. These reduced volume .wavs will bring the altitude callouts more in line with other sounds you hear while flying and upon approach. Please unzip (using folders option) to a temporary folder and follow the simple installation instructions. Compiled for your flying enjoyment by David "Opa" Marshall.

This is a repaint for Mike Stone's Cessna 404 Titan model for FS2004 or FSX. This is a fictional repaint of what a 404 may look like if it were operated by the Nevada Air National Guard out of Reno/Tahoe International. The USAF does not operate C404's, but this is just a what-if. Requires sc404.zip. Recommend Bob Chicilo's C404 update as well.

File Description:
This is a modification to one of the default liveries from Carenado. The original was the flag bearer of the Embraer sales team for several years but there are too many of the smaller brother Phenom 100s out there with the same paint job.
I removed all the drips and wrap around subtle coloring up front and now we have a solid white front end. I changed the weak orange looking color to a bright red for the wide bold stripe that tends to identify Phenoms and I replaced the orange stripe on the tail that makes the reverse C with the same bright red plus a white border to make it stand out. I added an American Reg Number just for the heck of it - N64RM.
This is a beautiful livery and should be just different enough to make you want to fly it often. It could make a personal aircraft for many Carenado Phenom 300 pilots. There will be a couple of slight changes to this livery down the road. I am working on one with a blue band and it will be N54RM. I'm not sure of the color for N44RM but it will be coming.
You will need to have the Carenado payware EMB505 HD Phenom 300 installed to use this repaint. It is for FSX, P3D, and FSX:Steam only.

Tips and Tricks - Number 14. In this issue there is a discussion of the MS Traffic Tool Box addon which many may not know exists. Numerous recommendations for new and different things to do and audition are also included as well as the usual assortment of "How-To's", links to useful sites, and much, much more. There is also a segment reviewing some exceptional aircraft design work. In addition there is a "from the e-mailbag" department where we try to answer a question of general interest submitted by a reader. Updated indexes by John Burford in .xls (Excel) and .pdf formats for the entire series are included.
