Boeing 787-8XLR Qantas Download

File Description:
Qantas is requesting proposals (Dec 2018) for design of an aircraft model or variation that is capable of non-stop flights over 10,000 nm for YSSY to EGLL and/or YPPH to KDFW and return service routes. This model is the best choice for Boeing based on real world data. The Boeing 787-8XLR "Dreamcruiser" will have a maximum range of 13,600 nm at FL450E (Mach .83) which will give her more than the desired capabilities, and will be the very efficient. This model (B788XLR) is based on the current 787-8 using weight modifications to increase the range without adding additional fuel tanks, and designed for luxury/comfort with only 161 paid passengers on board. Everything in this model is realistic to the best of my abilities. If Boeing creates this model, it will likely be very similar to this. The name is my own invention, as are all of the weight characteristics. Based on all of my extensive testing, there is no other aircraft capable of these requirements, to date. The 787-800 is certainly the right choice for Qantas if Boeing decides they will modify the original model to fit these requirements. In reality, there is no such aircraft as a 787-8XLR Dreamcruiser. Not yet, anyway. My data shows the aircraft is capable of long-range non-stop flights over 13,000 nm east or west at Mach .82 and above FL435. However, this can only be done by lowering the empty weight and using the full fuel capabilities designed within the original model. This simple modification cuts the total souls on board down to 176, with 161 paid passengers, 11 flight attendants, and 4 pilots in two shifts. Full fuel can now be used in all long-range flights which is actually not common for most 787-800s in service today (Fuel Managed). Ramp and MTOW remain the same, but because she flies higher than normal, and has less weight, she can cruise much further than any other 787. In reality, this is what the 787 was originally designed to do.

Boeing 787-942 VIP-BBJ Download

File Description:
Boeing 787-942 Boeing Business Jet (VIP), AKA "DreamJet", is the Corporate version of this aircraft, modified for individual client specs. The range is extended beyond the normal 787-9 due to additional fuel tanks, a lot less payload weight, and more powerful and efficient engines. The Cabin Pressure is decreased to 6,000 ft, allowing for higher Flight Levels than normal. The tail number on this model can be changed to match the user's preference, since it is not apparent on the exterior (No Airline Call used on Private Aircraft). This is a huge aircraft and normally seats about 300 passengers, but there are only 48 (including Pilots/Attendants) on this plane. A lot of space remains for luxuries that are well beyond any Business Jet of any kind other than the 747 or A380. Some of these luxuries include automated beds that are hidden in the floorboard and activated by the attendants when requested, and each of these includes a privacy barrier. There is one Large Screen TV with stereo surround sound with theater seating in the fore section, and separate small screen monitors located at every assigned seat (including flight data relay of all positioning and aircraft data viewable). The kitchen is fully equipped with 935 lbs of various food and drinks, with one attendant being a Master Chef. There is a automated Dance Floor that can be activated in the theater area, after the seating chairs are automatically stored below deck. The crew also experiences luxury as the pilots have a twin-bed sleeping area with a private kitchen (2 sleep while 2 fly), as do the attendants (fore and aft upper deck) with twin beds and private kitchens. The aircraft is also more luxurious in that it has 6.000 ft of pressure continuous to 47,000 ft, and has a very low interior noise level. There are also many added safety features that provide for survival in the event of a mishap, making it possible to survive a water crash for several days through the use of 6 inflatable skiff-rafts with engines, radios, and supplies. All attendants are trained and certified Registered Nurses, and they have 25 lbs of medications and supplies stored in the aft. Some of these features add to the empty weight, so the MTOW is the same as a normal aircraft of this design for commercial use (the gear are also modified for these accommodations). This aircraft is designed for educational use protected under the Fair Use Doctrine: (http://www.expertlaw.com/library/intellectual_property/fair_use.html) It cannot be sold or bundled for sale, and such will never be approved by me or the original authors. Ketchikan PAKT in southern Alaska plus float planes 5KE and the town Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is Ketchikan PAKT in southern Alaska, 45 miles north of the Canadian border and 220 miles south of Juneau. It is the closest major Alaskan airport to the lower 48 and most flights from or to Seattle pass through Ketchikan en route. The airport is on the southern side of the stretch of water known as The Narrows and the town is on the northern side, with ferries connecting the two. The town side was somewhat modified as part of one of the three Misty Fjords sceneries, so there were already some marinas and docked cruise liners etc before I started this. In addition, Ketchikan Airport had been partly made way back in 2006, and further modified in 2007; I say "partly" as there is in fact no way to accurately make PAKT within the limitations of FS9 as there is a 50 or 60 feet difference in elevation between runway and apron, and the taxiways are actually ramps up from the apron to the ends of the runway. This has a knock-on effect on the float plane and ferry docks on the water below the airport. I can see why the Misty Fjord sceneries avoided it. This scenery retains the original buildings from the Alan Wright scenery. It also includes the modification made by John Hinson, who created the second taxiway to the western end of the runway; FS9 had not included this as the original airport started operations with only one taxiway in place. There are new vehicles on the apron (fuel etc), new apron markings and some parking modifications to enable AI with Boing 737, DC6, Beechcraft 1900, and GA, plus runway and taxiway signage, windsocks, some car parking, freight items, etc. There is a road and covered bridges down to the docks and ferry, and the town side of the water has been modelled to include other float plane docks along with waterfront buildings, including the ship repair facility with it's dry dock (actually a floating dock that lifts ships out of the water) and the Alaskan Ferry Terminal wharf etc. The ferry forms a part of the AI, generously permitted by FSAddon and originally a part of the payware Tongass Fjords package, as are the AI aircraft also included here. There are new waterside buildings that stretch from the ship repair yard, past the shopping plaza and onward to the stationary cruise liners (that were part of the Tongass payware scenery) including float docks for the float plane companies that are based in Ketchikan, plus a new AI liner. The AI is a further adaptation of the already posted CF36 AI and PAKN AI, as listed in the AI folder. Due to the surrounding hills there may be some interference with AI float aircraft, depending on the wind direction, though I have watched succesful Beaver landings with the wind from the east. The combined AI for float planes creates a float plane take off or landing at, on average, 20 minute intervals; this is still well short of the actual busy summertime period.
