| Cyprus: Airfields plus landmarks and land class for all of Cyprus and AI |

Cyprus, an island in the eastern Mediterranean. Without the benefit of Ultimate Terrain, which does not exist for Cyprus, the land class provided by FS9 stands out as hopelessly inadequate. I have added the extensive farmland and the larger towns and villages, plus the major roads. Four completely new airfields are included here, three in the north and one in the south. Ercan LCEN is in the north and functions as the airport for all of the north. It was recently closed for two years while a new terminal was built and the runway updated and an apron extended etc, and during that time Gecitkale LCGK functioned (barely) as the airport for the north. Gecitkale is now hardly used at all. The third northern airfield is Ilker Karter LCIK and this functions as the HQ base of the Turkish Army Corp in northern Cyprus. The last of the new airfields is Kingsfield LCRE, which is in the Sovereign Base area to the east of Larnaca and is now used for recreational purposes. Ercan is now undergoing further expansion with a new runway and a new terminal building and apron, so this scenery is for the period between 2010 to 2015. My set up of Cyprus already included a payware Larnaca by Aerosoft (now only 12 euros) plus a freeware Paphos, Nicosia, and Akrotiri; that was my starting point. Larnaca has been the major airport for Cyprus since the mid 1970's, with a huge tourist trade that peaks in the summer but which is year long (almost a million Brits visit every year, let alone the other nationalities). I have adapted this (gate sizes etc) to allow parking by a multitude of B737's and others. Nicosia is freeware (posted in 2010) and I have included modifications to reflect its now total disuse. Paphos is at the far western end of the island and freeware, and I have modified this to allow larger and military ai aircraft to function properly; the poster improved his first version to better cater for ai but I was unaware of this and I have stayed with my modifications. Akrotiri is freeware and includes a lot of library object input from MAIW. I have modified the parking somewhat and added further residential areas and munitions storage. The AI is based upon recorded take offs and landings in April, with some further additions in later months. At Ercan the visible gate numbers on the apron are as per real life, but the numbers within FS9 reflect the fact that planes are directed to gates at the centre of the terminal building and not at the far ends. Follow the pink line and obey ATC when it says taxi to gate number 2 even if it is visibly numbered 4.

Official Douglas DC-6 / C-118 Liftmaster livery of the Italian Government, operated by the Italian Air Force - "Reparto Volo Stato Maggiore" (RVSM) for State Flight from 1962 to 1976 at Ciampino Airport - Rome.
In 1976 the "Reparto Volo Stato Maggiore" become 306th Squadron Flight which flows in the 31st Wing based always on Ciampino Airport.
So since 1976 the DC-6 change livery assuming that of the new 31st Wing (You can dowload it in AVSIM Library).
In 1981 the last Douglas DC-6 was discontinued.
For P3D, you must own the payware PMDG DC-6 Cloudmaster base package.

File Description:
This was requested by Wayne Koh on the Project Airbus Official Facebook Group.
This took me an entire day to make (April 7, 2025 as of writing this) and wow it was pretty difficult.
I don't include Prepar3D because I am afraid there is no A321 sharklets model for that simulator.
Oh and also, I added some scoot images there that can be used when repainting!
Readme included.

Sinapore Airlines is the launch customer for the A359ULR. The aircraft is configured in a two-class layout, with 67 Business Class seats and 94 Premium Economy Class seats. She is designed for long range flights of over 9,700 nm. Fuel has been increased at the expense of souls on board. The primary use will initially be for routes between WSSS and KJFK (or KLGA), but many others of similar distance can be added later. The flight number on this aircraft reflects the first flight from KJFK-WSSS which is only 8,275 nm (Contrary to media reports of over 9,000 nm) and about 17.5 hours duration (see You Tube video on this flight). The aircraft follows normal flight rules with a higher flight level and longer range. Almost everything is computer controlled and monitored throughout the flight, from take-off to landing. Two of Four pilots monitor the flight at all times, and shift changes occur on a schedule that allows appropriate rest for the crew. The passengers enjoy accommodations unlike provided in any other aircraft or flight, with plenty of meal servings and entertainment options. | YKBR Kalbarri, Western Australia (VERSION 3) and townsite |

File Description:
YKBR Kalbarri includes a townsite where there was none in FSX and the entire mouth of the estuary and immediate coastline - The airport was rebuilt in 2001 replacing the old Kalbarri Strip. The Kalbarri Airport, 10km east of Kalbarri on the Kalbarri-Ajana Road, is a jointly owned by the Shires of Northampton and Greenough. The Airport was funded by both Shires, the State Government and significant contributions were also received from Arkona Holdings and Westralia Airports Corporation. The total cost of the construction is approximately $1.7 million. The Airport was officially opened on the 22nd September 2001 by the Hon. Michelle Roberts. The fee to land at the Kalbarri Airport is $15.00. This can be paid at the airport or Shire office in Kalbarri at the Allen Centre on Grey Street. Private aircraft can be parked permanently at the airport. There is a fee of $264.00 per annum and is payable in lieu of any landing fee. This is the fifth in a series of new and renovated float bases in BC. Echo Bay is a floating marina on the northwest coast of Gilford Island, just 6 miles northwest of Health Bay (the previous post in this series). It is run by a beard called Pierre and his wife, and the food seems to attract crowds. Watch the video, and others about the marina; some of the more interesting buildings are replicated here, others are representative. There is no fuel or oil available but you can post a letter as there is a post office in the store that sells food etc to boaters. The AI is a further adaptation of the CF36 AI and involves a Baxter Beaver flying from Port Hardy on a round trip in the area through Port McNeill, Health Bay, Echo Bay, and Sullivan Bay, plus Harbour Air from Vancouver, and small GA. At Echo Bay the AI appears to work for both landing and takeoff for the Beaver and sometimes for the Otter, depending on wind direction. All of these float bases can be installed together in the same folders, with a saving in duplicate textures. So a series called BC Floats (or whatever you want to call it) or individually installed float bases; your choice. The next in the series will be Sullivan Bay, another floating marina. I have used what was a RWY12 boat here, but my RWY12 no longer includes the "Port and Sea" part that included this and other boats. Somewhere I must still have the textures as they are showing up as required, but I cannot find them to include them here. Hopefully your installation will find them on your hard drive and use them. If not, complain to me and I will attempt to demonstrate diligence.

File Description:
These are replacement bgl's to convert five northern Canada fields for use with the FSGenesis 76m terrain mesh for northern Canada. The five are Edinburgh Island CWEI, the FOX-2 DEW line station, Horton River CWHR, Igloolik CYGT, and Kimmirut CYLC. These are not stand-alone, and the presumption is that you have already downloaded and installed the previously posted sceneries. This installation consists solely of replacing the existing scenery bgl's with the new. There will be further posts of northern airfields in groups of five, alphabetically, and observations regarding the amendments and any further corrections that are required would be welcomed.
