File Description:
FS2004 textures for the Section F8 F-86E/F for an F-86A-5 of each of the squadrons assigned to the 81st Fighter Interceptor Wing of the USAF during its move to the United Kingdom in the late Summer of 1951. The textures are modified to better portray an F-86A with its slightly different panels and stenciling. Included are Sabres from the 91st, 92nd and 116th Fighter Interceptor Squadrons.
Textures only.

Detailed terrain mesh of the Hindu Kush and Pamir Ranges, N32-40 E70-76. The files in this package are based on Shuttle Radar (SRTM) Version 2 data but with many of the void areas, especially the most significant sections, filled with elevation data generated from topographic maps by Jonathan de Ferranti. While Jonathan's work is unrelated to flight simulation he kindly gave me permission to compile his data for use in FS. The result is a wonderful improvement in detail and accuracy over any existing mesh file, freeware or commercial, based on SRTM or DTED data alone.
Due to the large area of the Himalayas I've compiled the source data as two separate series: the "Himalayan Peaks" series covers prominent mountains and ranges in higher detail and locally overrides any existing LOD9 terrain mesh. In addition, the LOD9 "base mesh" series, with LOD8 and LOD7 "buffer" mesh files, covering the entire Himalayas, is meant for those who do not yet have an add-on terrain mesh of these beautiful mountains.

Qikiqtarjuaq is an airfield on the northeast coast of Baffin Island, just over 100 miles north of Pangnirtung. The airfield is the closest Canadian airfield to Greenland and is used for ferry flights from Canada to Europe for small planes, though there is normally only JetA1 fuel available. The airfield is at only 18 feet ASL next to the sea with the village to the north; it was previously (before 1998) called Broughton Island. The runway is 3,800' of 100' wide gravel and is lighted; as it is in the Northern Domestic Airspace the runway is signed as 033T-213T, using "true" bearings instead of magnetic. There is a terminal and a small maintenance building on the apron and these have been modeled specifically for this scenery. There are AI parking spots; the AI visiting aircraft are a Canadian North Dash 8 and a First Air 42-300. Qikiqtarjuaq village is just north of the airfield and has a population of around 520; it is approximately the right size and shape but no buildings were specifically modeled for the village. There is also a North Warning System site called Fox-5 to the northeast, and this too is included. You will need Ultimate Terrain Alaska Canada.

This folder contains a repaint for the Milviz P-38L, representing P-38J-15-LO 43-38650 as flown by Lt. Philip Tovrea of the 327th FS/ 1st FG. Between april and july 1944, he shot down five Bf109's and three Fw190's, making him one of the aces of the 1st FG. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Milviz.

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang, in the colors of P-51D-15-NA 44-14121 CL-Z was the assigned aircraft of Capt Darrel S.Cramer, from Ogden in Utah. He had done a tour with the 339th FS/ 347th FG in the Pacific, where he claimed two victories.He joined the 338th FS/ 55th FG in july 1944 and flew with them till february 1945, after which he served with HQ. He claimed 5.5 Bf109's and 1 FW190 in the air. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the A2A paintkit.
