This repaint, for the A2A Spitfire Mk IIA, depicts Supermarine Spitfire PR Mk XI PA 944, 8th Air Force, 7th Photo Reconnaissance Group, 14th Photo Squadron. Used by several different pilots, but one known to have flown sorties in it was Capt. John Blyth, who served with the unit from 1943 until the end of the war.

Sluder, the CO of the 325th FG. 44-74936 is currently displayed in the US Air Force Museum, painted in the colors of this aircraft.
