Asiana Airlines 1998 AI Package Download

File Description:
Asiana and Korean Air had full control of the Korean domestic market in 1998 as South Korea's only 2 scheduled airlines, making them appear at the vast majority of Korean airports. 737-500s were exiting the fleet, with only 3 remaining, and the first A321 had just come online. International routes were flown by 747-400 Combis or 767-300s, with several "tag on" routes onward from Seoul. Asiana served many commercial airports in Japan with 737-400s at the time, and is an important part of the Japanese traffic as well. The carrier had 2 737-500s and it's first A321 painted in a special "Experimental Color Scheme"(EC), and this is represented in the flightplans. One 737-500 also remained in a slightly different older livery dubbed as the "1994" colors, while the rest of the fleet had been modified to the "1998" colors. As a BONUS, ranmori has painted the 747-400, 747-400M and 737-400 in the 1994 livery for use with those flightplans, though there is no use for them in these 1998 plans. Repaints included for the FAIB 737-400, 737-500, 767-300, 747-400, and A321. All repaints were done by the very talented Ranmori Scythe, flightplans done by the not-so-talented Chasen Richardson. Continental Micronesia 1998 AI Package Download

File Description:
Continental Mircronesia was Continental's Guam-based Pacific operation. In 1998, CMI had 3 747-200s and 16 727s (10 pax+ 6 flying DHL cargo), and was also using 4 Continental 757s to cover routes from GUM. The 747s mostly fly between NRT/GUM/HNL and spend their down time at the HNL maintenance base, but they also flew charters to OKJ and SDJ which are represented in these plans. The 727s fly all over the Pacific, serving most every large city in Japan as well as TPE, CNS, and the 7-stop GUM-HNL "milk run", flown twice weekly. The cargo plans for the 727s are representitive and also serve much the the Pacific reaching as far as Australia. I created arrival and departure banks most days so the planes often arrive back to GUM in the middle of the night around the same time. The "Micronesia" titles were removed from the last DC-10-30 in March 1998, after which time all DC-10s wore the standard Continental livery as did the 757-200s while using the CMI codes and callsigns. Currently, there is no Continental Micronesia DC-10 AI paint, but links to all relevant paints are included as well as Ranmori Scythe's FAIB 747-200 PW texture. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. B25-B Mitchell Doolittle's Raiders A/C No. 40-2297 for The B24 Guy's OH Download

File Description:
B25-B Mitchell Doolittle's Raiders A/C No. 40-2297, April 18, 1942. Painted over The B24 Guy's B25 Mitchell Overhaul Model. This was mission plane #14. Pilot: Maj. John A. Hilger, Co-Pilot: Lt. Jack A. Sims, Navigator/ Bombardier: Lt. James H. Macia, Flight Engineer: S/Sgt. Jacob Eierman, Gunner: S/Sgt: Edwin V. Bain. The bomb group attacked targets in the Tokyo area. The North American B-25B was not designed or intended for aircraft carrier use, but there they were, sixteen highly modified bombers sitting on the deck of the USS Hornet (CV-8). They were modified to carry bombs to Tokyo. The B-25s are launched from their maximum range, and flew over Tokyo, bombing several installations. The bombs did little damage, but managed to damage the Japanese carrier Ryuho while it is in drydock. Many of the planes then head to wherever they can make it, since the fuel will be empty before they reach a friendly airbase. All of the B-25 bombers are forced to bail out or crash land except one. Eleven crews are forced to bail out over China, 3 crash land, and the last landed safely at Vladivostok. The crew that landed in Russia was interned, along with the plane, for a while. The crews were all volunteer, and had no carrier experience, yet all sixteen of the bombers were successful on take-off. Although little physical damage was inflicted on Japan, that day, the Japanese populace was demoralized, as suddenly, the war was brought to their homeland. Enjoy!

FSX North Korea DMZ, UGF and Ballistic Missile Base Addon Scenery Package Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
I titled this a "DMZ, UGF and Ballistic Missile Base" scenery package because that's how this whole project started, but then it SNOWBALLED onto 80+ scenery areas for ALL of North Korea! This package includes scenery AFCADs for 2 DMZ "Border Wall Areas", 8 DMZ SAM/EW radar sites (TacPack users can "spawn" SA-2s there!), 5 "secret" ballistic missile bases, two "secret" UnderGround Facility (UGF) locations like "TOPGUN 2", 5 navy bases/dockyards along the east coast, 2 nuclear facilities, 2 machine factories, and an Oil Refinery. BUT WAIT! For the city of Pyongyang I added the Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant, the Pyongyang-Dong Power Plant, 2 power grid "sub stations" with SA-6 SAM sites, the Pyongyang rail yard, and the "VIP Airport" on the SE side of the city. THERES MORE! (somebody STOP me!) I also did 23 fighter bases along with 12 helicopter bases (grass strips), and ALL of the fighter & helicopter bases have active runways, taxiways, and plenty of "Mil_Combat" parking available for AI aircraft. For those who like "Carrier Ops", I put 4 "Naval Waypoints" off the coast of N Korea...2 in the Yellow Sea and 2 in the Sea of Japan. ALL FOUR have static aircraft carriers at their locations, or you can spawn/start an AI Carrier there instead! Installation is SUPER easy and I've included instructions to install this SUPER-SIZED package as a stand-alone "Scenery Area" in your FSX Scenery Library. That way you can just click it on or off as needed, instead of clogging up your "Addon Scenery/Scenery" file with 200+ AFCAD files!
