| P-47D 334th FS "the Deacon" & "Missouri Kid" |

File Description:
This folder contains two repaints for the Shockwave Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing two aircraft of the 4th FG /334th FS. Included are: 1) 41-6484 QP-L "the Missouri Kid - Sho-Me", the first aircraft assigned to Ralph 'Kid' Hofer. He scored only one P-47 victory, but in a different aircraft. QP-L crashed on 2 december 1943, killing it's pilot, F/O John P. McNabb. 2) 41-6576 QP-J "the Deacon", one of the P-47's flown by Major Howard D. 'Deacon' Hively. He baled out of this P-47 on 15 june 1943 into the Channel, after being shot up by fighters over St.Nazaire. He was picked up by an ASR launch and continued to fly for the 334th FS. File Description:
The 354th were the first of the Mustang Fighter Groups, but they had been assigned to the Ninth Air Force at a time when the Eighth Air Force needed a long-range fighter. So the 357th was to become the first P-51 Mustang Group in the Eighth Air Force, and also they were to move again. This base was to be home for the rest of the war, Station F-373, Leiston Airfield. P-51D 41-4937 was flown by Capt. Jim Browning and was named ‘Gentleman Jim’. Capt. Browning was an original member of the 357th. He was killed on 9th February 1945 in a mid-air collision with an Me- 262 of KG(J)-54. He was flying Glen Zarnke’s ‘Junior Miss’ at the time. Original textures by WOP repaint by Joe Nageotte

FSX native B-36 Peacemaker. Built by consolidated vultee (Convair) in the late forties, The Convair B-36 Peacemaker was the largest American bomber every produced. Development of the huge plane began in 1941. The Army Air Force wanted a bomber that could fly from the United States to Europe, drop bombs, then return. The prototype first flew on August 8, 1946. The first operational models were delivered to the Strategic Air Command 1948. Included in this file are versions, A, B, D, H, and J models. The A and B versions are textured in FS9 style polished metal textures. Includes a virtual cockpit based on the b-36b cockpit, with a few updated and modern instruments, and a full gauge panel on the engineer station. custom sounds taken from scenes in the movie "strategic air command."

FS2004 Buecker 131 Jungmann Version 2 Package. The Buecker "Jungmann" was the first plane produced by the new Buecker Flugzeugbau GmbH company founded in 1932 in Johannistal, Berlin.
The prototype B 131A V-1, registration: D-3150, was conceived as a training/private plane capable of aerobatics and powered by a 80 hp (60KW) Hirth HM60R inline engine. It made its inaugural flight on 27th April 1934. Later production models, such as the 131B were available with more powerful engines.
The biplane was constructed under the leadership of the Swedish technical director Anders J. Anderson. The Buecker Jungmann served as the standard training-plane of the German Luftwaffe and in total around 5000 were built. Model and Copyright by Oliver Fischer 18.2 MB
